  • In this video I go over a step-by-step how to guide of exactly what to do to replace the rollers and a Maytag bravo 300 quiet series dryer. Although this is a particular dryer I’m using Maytag made a lot of different dryers that were very similar. There’s lots of different symptoms of bad rollers. It could be a broken belt a Squeaking Grinding or rattling noise. How to fix a squeaky noisy dryer is not as difficult as you think and I hope this step-by-step guide helps you solve your appliance repair needs. I have several Maytag dryer repairs how to replace the multi rib belt to how to clean out dryer lint to prevent fire.
    If your electric dryer is making a loud noise the top reasons and fixes are several but usually come down to drum rollers or hair and rust on the drum rollers.

    On mine it was the small, plastic washer between the pulley and the assembly. The old washer had shrunk and become brittle (story of my life) causing the pulley to rub against the assembly. Replaced with .505 x 3/4 x 1/8 nylon flat washer. ( six for a dollar at Lowes) and greased.

    • @WasherDryerMoney

      I have not replaced that on this particular dryer but I imagine The type of glue that goes around windows will probably release with the heat of the dryer. Check the link I have in the description for Appliance Parts pros and see if you can find the exact replacement part by using the model number of your dryer that can be found just inside the door on a sticker. If you don’t like the price you could always take the part number and search it in Amazon or eBay. Good luck

    I just use the putty knife to get the door switch wires apart.
    Friday night I worked 5 1/2 hours taking apart and cleaning dryer after dryer after dryer...... didn't cut my hand 1 time. I had to get a door fixed so all I had to do on Saturday was spend 30 seconds putting the front back on and cut my hand twice! lol
    Try this, before you put the white lithium on, I spray the wheel peg and the inside of the wheel with WD 40 Dry Lube. Then I take a small part of a paper towel and clean out the inside of the wheel and wipe the wheel peg off. Then I spray the wheel peg with WD 40 white lithium. What I have found is that sometimes if you just spray it with white lithium, it doesn't ride smooth but if I clean it first with dry lube and then white lithium, it seems to make it ride much smoother..... I don't know, maybe it's just me, I like things perfect :)
    I also take that opportunity when I have the tub out to clean the tub and the back wall where the clothes hit the wall if needed. Sometimes there is black stuff or stickers. How do people get so much stuff stuck to their dryer????? We have a 20 year old set and the dryer looks almost new inside..... I only sell top lint dryers so I also take the lint chute off and clean it.
    I guess I have a question about the wheels I've never thought about.... since there are cheap made wheels, have you found any cheap made red rimmed wheels? I only use the red rimmed ones because I have found them to be best but I always buy from the same guy so it just popped in to my mind that their might be some cheap made ones? Have you had experience with that? Cheap red rimmed wheels? (tongue twister lol)
    When the weather gets warmer, 16 and snowing right now, I will text you a picture of the dollies I use in my garage to wheel them around. It might make it easier for you instead of using that big thing.

    I have a question for ya, I’ve been doing this for over 3 years now very profitable business for me and my family, but I’m thinking for the future as we get older what do you think about hiring a helper or a employee to train and maybe one day run the business while we sit back and do the sales part or possibly just collect? What’s your thoughts 💭 all the other guys I talk to say “well if you teach them everything who says they won’t just go do the same thing and take your business” they have a point. Any thoughts ?

    • @WasherDryerMoney
      @WasherDryerMoney  3 роки тому +2

      honestly used the profits for this business to buy rental properties. Every year I do less appliances and more real estate related stuff. So it definitely would’ve been a good idea for me too attempt to Replace myself with a few different employees and keep this business running. Instead I am just moving on to bigger and better things. My thoughts on training someone and them just taking over is I wouldn’t worry about that.
      I have an a mindset that there will be too much competition is very limiting in life. Personally I’ve seen so many of my fellow appliance guys around me come and go. Just concentrate on being better. Also most people don’t want to run a business they want a paycheck they are employees and as an employee they may think about being a business owner but it’s very rare that they go through all the steps to do it.

      I figured so! Yes I definitely want to get involved with renting out properties been talking about that for a long time! I guess my other peers are just scared of the unknown with hiring someone. I get it , it is scary but to be successful in business you have to take risks just like how I started this business. It was a risk but I overcame my fear and here we are moving towards bigger and better things. • @WasherDryerMoney
      @WasherDryerMoney  Рік тому

      A lot of people like using dry, silicone spray, or graphite. The idea being lit will somehow stick to the near zero tolerance shaft.
      Maybe. The main thing is don’t use a degreaser like WD-40.
      Also inside of the dryer should not be getting lint. If it is, that’s a sign of a bad tub, seal or being stopped up causing airflow restriction, pushing it into the interior of the dryer.

    WD-40 is the WORST thing to lubricate with. It's a degreaser, it dries everything up, not a lubricant. Short-term it's ok, it will help you open that lock if it's stuck. Long-term? It's terrible and not even designed for that...
