It took me 10 goshdarn years to record this album the way I wanted it - because for many years, my piano skills and conditions were simply not at the level that I wanted it. I have been such a perfectionist about this album that it led to countless re-recordings, every time where I was always dissatisfied. But now I'm releasing it finally, this is the official studio version of my first piano album, MUSICALSTORIES.

@@AK47_414 He did make many mistakes. But they are so subtle and hard to notice that it doesn't matter at all. He played with passion which made the tiny mistakes sound right in a weird way.
There were quite a few staccato notes that were improperly doubled up or off beat but it’s not a huge deal. Noticeable in the first track mostly. Also noticed a random off-key chord in track 4, not sure if it was composed that way or just a misplaced hand.
Track 5 was just fucking beautiful and perfectly executed though

As My Horses "Gallop" to try and attend Lionel's Premiere, I see a "Waltz of the rising star" a once in 300 year sight! My heart Feeling "Fires of a Revolution", I have "Courage" that I will attend Lionel's Premiere no matter how frightening or scary it will be because he is special and really good at playing piano... As I traveled past the "Water Flower" area , I knew I were not going to even think about going in there. It would be classified as a "Pachelbel's Nightmare." I felt as if all of my hope was drained out of me, what I need is a surge of "Vengence", The "Colours of the soul" would bring me back and My gut will force me to go there, just for Lionel. There was no hope... All was lost it was a "Saudade" Moment, I felt like I could do nothing... I am useless, I surrendered myself to the ground and my eyes cried like "Rolling Thunder",
My soul was a "Black Star". I was "Too Late"...
Try writing a book you might be good at it

No clue who you Are but you just stole a hour and half of my life and all I can say is thank you and never stop doing what you do I was hooked and mesmerized the entire time and the story line that went with the music was phenomenal

I remember when I first found your channel and didn't think much of you, but now I sit and commend you for what you did, you wrote great music. I just can't believe how extremly talented you are. I literally sit here with tears running down my face. I feel the emotions you put in every single note. As if you were breathing music.
I really want to thank you for all these masterpieces you wrote. There is something in them, that really touches my soul. Its a hard time for me right now, but your music is somehow comforting and gives me hope. Please keep on doing what you're doing. Your music makes the world a better place!

story time : I used to play piano. I love piano and played for 5 years. My grandpa was my biggest supporter and always told me to never quit because i had a talent that many people wanted, when in reality i was nothing out of the ordinary. Life got busy, my granpda got cancer for the 3rd time and after fighting it for almost a year he passed. I dropped out of piano and sold my piano and left it to rot. My love for piano never left, only my drive to play and my passion for lessons, which at the time i felt were unnessacary. As i sit here listening to a true master of an instrument i think back to the times when my grandpa could come over and make me play piano for him and its only now that i realize when my grandpa passed, i not only lost the most supportive person in my life, my best friend, and someone i would trade the world for, but i also lost a part of me that i truly miss as well: piano. I wish now that i had listened to the words of my grandpa, he always knew what was right and i love and miss him for it. sorry for the rant yall but this all just hit me and thought id share :)

And it’s playing in my head when I’m not listening to it. I don’t know why or how but it just speaks to my soul and my whole life. Tears. Goosebumps. Swollen heart. the story behind Water flower brings an ache to my heart thinking about it, although I know it is nothing compared to what you must be feeling. When people ask "what is courage", I think that it is doing something like playing a song that brings back pain you don't want. I love your songs and I send my support.

I wept when listening to Colors of the Soul. Daily I put so much of my energy into hiding my Autism from the world and putting on a mask. Nobody wants to be judged, so we all keep things hidden away from others. Its exhausting. But, when you can be your true self around someone, it is liberating. God bless my husband for being that person.

I used to watch your videos obsessively yeeeearrrs ago and recently started catching up on what I missed while I was depressed and not doing anything with music for the better part of a decade. I haven't let myself get a nice keyboard since I live in an apartment and have always been an acoustic piano snob (and, y'know, depressed me thinks I can't have nice things) but coming back to your videos made me say "fck it" and see how digital pianos have improved.. So I have a Kawai KDP120 on the way. It's amazing to see that you've finally finished your album and it has so many beautiful pieces. Thanks for being such an inspiration, man. Welcome back. :)
Dear Lionel, I never heard anything like this in my entire life. It seems like you consist of music entirely. Every piece is extremely well set and holds so much emotion. I'm really grateful for your music. It helped me push through the most difficult times in my life. I was diagnosed with cancer, just 2 month before my 12 yo son followed me with the same diagnosis. We fought together for the last couple of years. Your music was always there with us- in ICU, chemo treatments, radiation... It helped us to ease our minds, to keep focused on our goal. I just had to pause my treatment because against all odds, I got pregnant. It was a miracle and a hard decision, because it could be dangerous for me... but I'll never regret it to have my baby girl. Not 1 single second. I'm so proud of her!
I really hope that Lionel gets to read my comments. I want to show him how much impact he's able to deliver all around the world. I let Ellis listen to his music even before she was born. Now she's able to recognize it and it always calms her down. Thanks again, @MusicalBasics

Your music is amazing and doing anything in life without it playing in the background or foreground (depending on my situation) will just be boring. I think I've been a fan for about a decade, so I can say with some confidence I'm going to be hooked on these new performances for many years to come. I'll never get tired of the old classics being bashed out on a wobbly keyboard in all the glory of 240p resolution, but the production quality really is exceptional in this video. Wow!

You've written a beautiful album. To me this is worth just as much as the works of composers like Chopin and Liszt. It may be a different genre, but you're a top tier composer in this genre. I've had a hell of a week, and this totally changed my friday night. it brought me a sense of calm and focus I have not had in a very long time.
focus is a problem since i acquired brain lesions from an attack of multiple sclerosis, I generally never play music twice as the repetition is overwhelmingly distracting - this has made the first entry on my repeat list in over 15 years.
I could only ever hope to be this skilled on a keyboard.

It's really cathartic to see what you've accomplished. I feel flickers of this when I play, but I wasn't ever able to persist for long enough to realize any sort of complete vision. I had a piano teacher who talked about "never, will I ever" songs, and how it feels to play them, have a new "never will I ever." I look forward to seeing you realize your "never will I evers" as you grow as an artist.
