I love this positive energy you emanate with your body language and expressive intonation🙂 I find myself quite an advanced English speaker but about 1/3 of these words were new to me and really useful (such as garner). Also, it's great that you don't follow the trend other popular English teachers follow, to squeeze as many new words, phrases, idioms, etc. in one video as possible. What's the point in recording a lesson on "100 useful idioms" or "50 advanced adjectives to describe personality" if no one can memorize more than 10 at once?
Hi Arnel ❤️ Eavesdrop, overhear, deter, garner, cultuvate, overshadowed (are completely new verbs for me) reciprocate, overhear, enforce, thank (I've heard about them before, however I didn't know how to use them in a sentence. Now I know, Kudos to your great work Arnel!!! I love your channel ❤️🥰👍🇨🇱
As a learner, this basic lessons are the key to a better understanding of the English language I carne to love!! Garner is a new verb to me, thank You!
Thank you so much for all your videos I saw your videos yesterday and they are so helpful I really appreciate it I have a English exam and I didn’t understand my Lessons so when I saw your videos they saved me and now I keep answering more questions thank you so much ❤️
Pura Vida Arnel🏝🇨🇷! I loved the excitement you expressed when explaining the verb to eavesdrop. Showing the shadow of that girl made the verb to overshadow very easy to understand and remember. Four verbs were new for me. These are my example with them: 1. When I was a kid, I overheard my aunts talking and hiding my Christmas presents. 2. I put cucumbers on my back yard to deter cats from coming to my house to attack my birds. 3. The sisters were overshadowed by Cinderella’s beauty. 4. Amy Fleming from Heartland garnered a reputation of “The miracle girl” due to her great bond with horses.
@@ArnelsEverydayEnglish Yes that works. Cats don't approach when they see a cucumber. According what I read, they get scared thinking the cucumbers are snakes.
Hey Kattia. What you did was great. Building your own sentences is the best way to remember new vocabulary. Here is another tico enjoying one of these incredible Arnel's lessons. To sum up, ten minutes of clear explanations with proper illustrations.
Once again, Thank You, Arnel! Even if I used to use some of those advanced verbs, I had not clear idea if I was doing right, now I know how to use them properly.
Some of these verbs were easy to recognize because of their latin roots. So glad I speak Spanish! So good our languages have words with the same meaning! Once more, I THANK YOU, ARNEL!
Arnen, you are not only English teacher but also you are actress and have especial skill in ICT. Really, i have entertained and feel like watching a movie. I hope one day you will share us how to develop these skills. Looking your next lesson. Ethiopia
Hi Arnel. How's it going? That was a pleasant lesson. I've already had contact with those verbs at some point of my journey to learn English, but it doesn't mean I had the hang of them. I enjoyed the verb GARNER. It's the most beautiful one. To conquer something other than money through your work. And you are GARNERING respect and admiration thanks to your nice, productive and fun lessons here on youtube. Bye bye!!!
I think, you are one of the best Teachers, i am very grateful to you as i am learning new advance structure from you, please make more videos every week. I am watching this video from Bangladesh.
Hi Arnel! Thank you for your lesson! Eight words out of ten are part of my "passive vocabulary". That means I pretty much know what they mean when I heard them. However, when I speak English I usually forget to use them. They are not part of my "active vocabulary." Reciprocate and garner were definitely new for me!!!
It was very interesting to learn the verb reciprocate. In Portuguese we have a similar word "recíproco" and it is normally used to say that we have a feeling (good or bad) that is equivalent in relation to someone else, but recíproco is an adjectiv and not a verb. For example, if someone say that likes you, you can say "it is recíproco" and by this you're saying that you like the other person too.
I know all the words except deter, but I can hardly make sentences using them myself, I thank you out of my heart for the video! It was quite helpful!!
I think the idea of improving sentences to a more advanced level but with the same meaning is genius. Looking forward to the next ones. Arnel you are natural teacher🙏🙏🙏. Verbs such as overshadow, garner, eavesdrop I haven't came across.🙈
Hii, Arnel! Thank you for another great class! I already knew some verbs, but I didn't know the most of them. Thankfully they're almost 100% the same thing in my native language
Hi Arnel, almost all were familiar to me, but you cultivated relationships between all those and me again,I thanked you and thank you every time with new lesson😁 you are great 😀👍
I like writing notes that are related to help me to learn English and practice it when I have free time. And I find your videos very informative and worth being written down. Btw you look gorgeous in every video you make. Greetings from the Philippines.

That's so interesting! It's funny how similar languages can be, yet so different at the same time!
The same in Spanish with " recíproco".
