Your lesson is always a work of art. You have 2 talents: explaining complex topics very simply, and explaining it like an actress with elegance and humor. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
English is so much complex,, bcz it has lots of vocabulary , phrasal verbs , idioms,,,, just annoying although one can speak fluent speak with out advanced words ,,,, English shouldn't be international language ,internation language should very easy to everyone----although im kidding
15/15 thank you for the lesson Arnel, agree that phrasal verbs are a gamechanger in every language learning process, you have helped me a lot with this content ❤.
I got 14 right. Thanks for noting differences between speaking formally versus informally and drawing attention to the different example of present simple versus present cointinuous tense. Thanks for illustrating the art of speaking creatively.
Hello there. Your clqss is reqlly amazing, I've been following you since and like it a lot. Today I learnt. Anew verb. Here is an example, After been gone from China to my hometown, I had lots on my paper work to cash up on. For your assignment, I hot 11 over 15. Thks.
"Figure out" is the same as "work out." They both mean to find the answer to a problem. "Come up with" emphasizes thinking of a NEW idea, story, plan, solution. examples: -I lost my job. I have to work out/figure out what to do. -I love riddles. I love working them out / figuring them out. -We didn't know what to call our cat, but Jenny came up with "Tigris" because our cat looks like a tiger. -Our business is failing. We have to come up with a plan to save it. I hope this helps!
Hello Arnel, I have been watching your videos and learned a lot. I learn english asa a second language. Can you explain the difference between relative clauses (reduced relative clauses, defining and non defining clauses and participal clauses (All types of it: Have+V3 and Ving or V3) we learn these grammars separately but most of the time it does not make a sense.
Hi . 1:53 I've heard before someone said that turn it on . Why did he put the object in the middle of phrase verb?! Could you explain that?!😢 I appreciate 🙏👍🙏
Thank you for your question. "Turn it on" is correct. If your object is a pronoun (it, him, her, them, etc.), it must go in the middle of a separable phrasal verb. This is what I said in my lesson: Correct: turn it on Incorrect: turn on it I hope this helps?
Thank you so much! At the moment I don't offer private online lessons, but I give live lessons here on my channel twice a month. My next live will be on the 9th of Oct and I will announce it on my channel :)
Great question! 😊 'Put off' means to postpone or delay something, not 'hold' or 'pending'. For example: We had to put off the meeting until next week. She put off doing her homework until the last minute. So, put off is used when something is postponed to a later time. Hope that helps! 😊
Great question! 😊 'Chose' is the past tense of 'choose'. For example: 'I chose the blue shirt yesterday.' 'Choose' is the present tense. For example: 'I choose the blue shirt today.' So, use 'chose' for the past and 'choose' for the present. Hope that helps! 😊
My name is Hukomran, and I am from Afghanistan. I have been following your lessons and have learned a lot from you. Today, I have a question. I searched in many places but couldn't find detailed information. If you could kindly provide a detailed explanation, either in a video or here, I would greatly appreciate it. The question is: In the present simple tense, for a positive sentence, we add 's' or 'es' to the verb with singular subjects. 'I' is also singular, so why don't we add 's' or 'es' to the verb in the case of 'I'?"
Thank you so much for following me Hukomran! That's a great question. "I" is singular, but we only add "s/es" to the 3rd person singular. "I" = 1st person singular: I go "He/She/It" = 3rd person singular: He / She / It goes I hope this helps! :)

Thanks a lot for your excellent work. I’m interested in buying the PDF phrasal verbs, but I got confused. In the description has a price , but if click, appears another price and says book 1. Are really 2 books or just one? What’s the true price? Thanks
Hi Manuel, thank you so much for your question! I'm so sorry this was confusing. I just checked my store, and there is only 1 price. Sometimes, different currencies can show. Maybe that's why you saw two prices? This link lists all prices in dollars. arnels-everyday-english-shop.fourthwall.com/en-usd There is only 1 book currently. I hope this helps and please let me know if you have any other questions. Arnel :)
Arnel, just a quick question. You said if my object is a pronoun it must go in the middle. But what about, for example, get over it or I already got over him? Many thanks in advance.
That's such a good question Leo. That rule only applies to separable phrasal verbs. So because "get over" cannot be separated, the object (including) pronouns must go after it. I should have mentioned this in the lesson! I hope this clarifies things :)

Hi Arnel Difference between come up and figure out please.
"Figure out" is the same as "work out." They both mean to find the answer to a problem. "Come up with" emphasizes thinking of a NEW idea, story, plan, solution.
examples:
-I lost my job.
Test result : 13 correct answers . Thanks a lot ❤

Put off means hold or pending or postpone?
Great question! 😊 'Put off' means to postpone or delay something, not 'hold' or 'pending'. For example:
We had to put off the meeting until next week.
She put off doing her homework until the last minute.
So, put off is used when something is postponed to a later time. Hope that helps! 😊
🤠👍thank you
You're welcome Reza! :)
Chose or choose?
Great question! 😊
'Chose' is the past tense of 'choose'. For example: 'I chose the blue shirt yesterday.'
'Choose' is the present tense. For example: 'I choose the blue shirt today.'
So, use 'chose' for the past and 'choose' for the present. Hope that helps! 😊

That's a great question. "I" is singular, but we only add "s/es" to the 3rd person singular.
"I" = 1st person singular: I go
"He/She/It" = 3rd person singular: He / She / It goes
