I guess that highly depends on the state you have filed your case. I have been waiting for 5 years so far and I have seen a lot like myself here in California. I also requested for expedite my case almost a year ago due to health issues of my dad and we didn't even hear back from them since then.

I got my EAD after 6 months I applied for it at the 1st time but after that each renewal was pain in the butt and last one took 1.5 year and as you can say I had lots of troubles with HR, DMV and bank, because they only know certain documents and don't accept USCIS receipts as a work permit, although it's 100% legal document.

If asylum officer send you to immigration court and court takes more than 2 years. What to do?
Not a ton you can do to speed things up in immigration court, unfortunately. If you face emergency circumstances, you may be able to get the judge to schedule your hearing sooner

Two years??? It’s been 7 years for me and still they have scheduled master hearing in May2022
