I've never actually ridden this ride (wife hates this type of ride), but, boy, this video sure makes it look short and tame compared to other rides of this type that I have been on. Is that a bad impression?
Super short and not at all thrilling. I remember when Kali River Rapids had giant jets of water puncturing from UNDER the roaring water and soaking every raft that drifted over them (especially the one post-lift!). Disney cutting costs any way they can has really affected the thrill level and 'immersion' of so many of their once gold-tier attractions. You can hardly hear the buzz-sawing of trees in the deforestation section of the attraction, which was once a pivotal story point to the attraction, as well as a tie-in theme to the preservation aspect of Animal Kingdom's original mission. So sad.
I wish Kali rapids would be refurbished into a jungle book ride instead and here’s a few characters that should feature there Mowgli Baloo bagheera Kaa Shere khan Hatie King Louie The wolf pack Shanti
