Half of the episode is even more funny after watching that Tango stream. He was trying to find first Etho and then Xb and couldn't, because they were both with Beef playing cards, so he went to prank Bdubs instead, who was pranking Etho. So Etho was pranked by Impulse, Tango, Scar and Bdubs, who was being pranked by Tango at the same time. Not to even mention a different stream that started with Tango being disturbed by everyone on the server at once, that went to someone suggesting a hopper clock duel with Etho, which actually happened, because Etho accidentally stumbled into that bunch having no idea what's going on and spontaneously won the competition. I've been trying to find the horn chaos nether group in someone's stream because they keep appearing in videos with no explanation! Tango was streaming then?
So, let me try to get this straight... - Impulse pranked Etho by hiding a warden behind his "base" in Bdub's basement. (Or was his intention to prank Bdubs, not knowing that's where Etho was living?) - Bdubs pranked Etho by setting a lingering poison potion trap (which failed because it missed Etho). - Tango pranked Bdubs by using a clip of his voice for one of the horns (in the server's resource pack), which also worked as a prank on Etho? - Tango pranked Etho by stealing his key. - Scar pranked Etho... how? - The game pranked Etho by giving him the lowest stats in Beef and Xb's card game. Did I get all of that right?
@@Klffsj Impulse was challenged by Grian to hide 3 wardens, Impulse then picked Etho as one of the recipients, knowing he lived in Bdub's basement. Doc's so scary yet such a charismatic guy His response to a hermit waxing his copper: "I took revenge though, I'm launching charged creepers on a hourly basis over to his base at the moment so we're cool."
As much as I would absolutely not mind seeing Etho videos more often, I really enjoy his sporadic upload schedule. Not only do I hope it allows him to not stress over having to specifically produce content but rather just enjoy the game and company of his friends and as a side share that enjoyment with us. But it also makes these nice moments, that at least I like a lot, where we get to see stuff again that has happened already a week or 2 ago and was already in someone elses video or stream. It doesn't feel repetitive because it's been a while already. And they also don't feel old or stale, because they're most often things like pranks and interactions that aren't tied to "timeline" of the server. The parts he decides to include have very high quality in terms of "re-watchability", so its great to get some good laughs again! :D TL;DR Excellent way to tie couple weeks worth of stuff into a video, while also progressing with the basementbase.

@@StuffandThings_ i'd forgotten about the duct tape headset haha! the early episodes definitely lack the polish that a decade of experience brings, but it's been a staple channel for me since 2013 and even then stood apart from most other creators. hopefully in another 10 years or so Etho will still enjoy making videos and we'll see how much further it evolves :)
“I fell down my own trap” tailing off. Brilliant
13:18 PLEASEEEEEE the "you'll speak when spoken to" horn that tango made and Etho really thought it was Bdubs talking LOOOL
Etho can’t complain about no hugs and kisses, the zombie was literally fighting death to give him hugs and kisses. Give that zombie a raise!
Etho had a 1/96 chance of getting the lowest stats. To put that into perspective: there's a 45/96 chance to NEVER get the lowest stat.
did u actually not notice that it was a dispenser and not a dropper?
@@zsomborszigeti6797 I am blind... but I don't blame myself for missing that
@@zsomborszigeti6797 Do dispensers always shoot out the top left item? If so I never actually knew that
@@vincentbook6691 No, both are random.
Really? than ignore my comment, but I am pretty sure dispensers are not random
Man seeing Doc's base is so cool, that guy always does amazing builds, seeing their "base" was also hilarious but also still compact and weirdly organised I like it.
15:40 bdubs falling down the hole and his voice fading away killllled me
I FELL DOwn my oʷⁿ ᵗʳᵃᵃᵃᵃᵃᵃᵖ
THIS WAS SO FUNNY HAHAHAHAHH CANT BELIEVE IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO FIND A COMMENT ABOUT IT
It was nice seeing you visit the OG gang, bdubs, doc, and beef. I still remember when you visited Docm in his first let’s play. That big sandstone bow with the squids and mob system. I think I’m going to play some 1.7 again.
I have been watching you for about 8 years now, since i was a wee lad. And your laugh is everything, I love how much effort you put into your builds, the amazing redstone in your videos. I havae always been able to watch your videos no matter what mood I am in and it instantly makes my day better. Keep up being the joyous creater you are and the fact you have been able to play the same (2? I don't remember how many times you've reset it for updates) minecraft worlds and every hermitcraft server since you joined for 10 years years. Love you and your content man!
Etho’s tiny “let’s go shopping” song @26:01 needs to be on a remix somewhere
How did tango expect to beat the literal inventor of the hopper clock at building one
"I'm gonna get.. as much as I can" Etho's season 9 shopping fever has started!
I really enjoyed the storytelling-ish format and general style of this episode, and the editing was on point!
Also, the part with Bdubs and Tango was just top notch entertainment, like the quick and witty remarks and layers of banter lining up in the midst of chaos, I just love the humor! Already excited for the next episode!
There’s something so charming about Bdubs’ moss machine. It’s just fun to use
I gotta say this starting later than the rest of the hermits is making some really interesting content
"Dear Diary, Today was a wonderful day. Things happened, stuff took place, and I had many thoughts. I plan to write theses events in a book someday. July 22, 2022"
Wish there were more of these amazing stories to read, Etho should really become an author. This is just beautiful
Love to see how fun Etho is having this season with the fellow Hermits!
"If bdubs built this right, I shouldn't need to read the book"
*cut to open book*
Peak comedy
It would be funny if Etho had a custom horn that said “Go get your snacks.”
I love the premise of storytime! It's delightful reflecting back on events I've seen through Tangos streams 😊
I really like the cute little basement base! The Etho aesthetic makes me happy.
"let me get my slippers on"
That's my new favourite opening line
When Etho comes to the server, King Ren pays tribute. He knows royalty when he sees it.
You combine an Etho video with "story" in the title and I already know I'm going to love it!
hey just wanna say this is my favorite (or at least second or third favorite) hermitcraft episode of all time, and watching it improved my mood a lot, thanks for making this one
Having been around since about episode 50, its amazing just how much etho has grown in terms of subscribers and followers. And the quality of the content has practically been the same from the start, absolutely flawless no matter the game. Minecraft, Terraria, Starbound, all absolutely amazing to watch and re-watch. Not to mention he has the longest running minecraft let’s play so that counts for something.
"Does Ren have any security?"
So I guess you didn't see the Bounty Hunter quest in the quest book? Think you and Cub might have just volunteered to be a target XD
I'm glad we get to see Etho's side of the hopper-clock race, I saw a replay of Tango's stream and that was hilarious.
28:50 Probably a dropoff tube for sawdust. My dad worked at a sawmill (sounds so old fashioned even though its fully industrialized) for ages and I've had summer jobs there painting. The build is honestly super accurate realistic looking.
The nostalgia from watching etho’s intros… geez
"Go say 'hi'. " "I DON'T WANNA SAY HI TO THAT" omg rolling! I just love story time with Etho. I really should have watched these from the beginning, but y'know, 20 something hermits, some had to get lost in the shuffle! Plus RL commitments haven't figured out yet how to do it all. but i'm making up for it now.
Love the story-time-with-Ethos ambiance. The Warden shenanigans was just icing on the cake.
Etho's struggle in the shopping district was hilarious omg hearing him cry about the lack of shulker shells when there were so many right there sjkhdf
Just getting home from a long road trip and to tune into story time is something that will eaze the nerves... Love you etho!
Doc's so scary yet such a charismatic guy
His response to a hermit waxing his copper: "I took revenge though, I'm launching charged creepers on a hourly basis over to his base at the moment so we're cool."
NHO needs to reunite! i love that they are the first people Etho collaborated with, the happiest and most excited that he is back on the server
Just so long as they don't try to start a horse track again...
those things are like a running curse
It's fun to watch you explore things like the shopping district as a (sort of) fresh perspective to everything that's happened this season so far.
The basement apartment is hilarious and amazing. And Etho, you’re funny af. The diary thing got me, among the other shenanigans. Can’t wait for more!
TL;DR Excellent way to tie couple weeks worth of stuff into a video, while also progressing with the basementbase.
Etho, the moment you borrowed Tango's repeater, you became one of my favorite Hermits.
Etho: Go get your snacks
me: looking at my bowl of avocado and strawberries.
Yes, I've been waiting for this for so long
For so so long
Every one has their favorites, but Bdubs and Etho is the best duo. Two of the kindest people but with wildly different personalities :)
I love the mud as the walls of the starter base!
Would 100% buy anything he narrates. Such a great voice actor
The "tall and short" had me cracking up 😂 particularly Bdub "I'm the tall one" 😂😂😂
Always fun to see Etho episodes, something about him just makes everything entertaining!
Every prank on Etho is like a little prayer for pain. Shadey-E will return.
I love HERMITCRAFT episodes where hermits hang out with each other so much
"Ethos trying to record one of his lets plays" killed me xD
I love how anywhere Etho goes, shenanigans follow, whether through his own doing or not. It's like a law of Minecraft. Wheresoever the Etho travels, tbere too shall mayhem and mischief arrive.
I love that etho makes 1 video that has as much content as what most other people make in like 2 or 3. I freaking love it lol
Bdub's base was designed beautifully... just not for fighting a warden
