If they stopped bickering they would have to listen and then they would have to do something about what they heard because it is expected of them and then they would lose Chinese funding! Do you think it's mostly due to innocent blindness to the facts or do you believe that there's a sizeable segment within the government who's intentionally trying to give china the power and resources needed to challenge the US and other western countries... For the record, there is a logic to both persuading people that voting is ineffective while also pushing for a specific candidate: broadly speaking, it's a case of different messages to different audiences. Voter disengagement usually happens to the more moderate voters, who would otherwise form a voting block that helps keep politics away from the extremes Meanwhile, people who have strong views on either side of the political spectrum are more likely to go to vote regardless of discouragement. Running a hybrid campaign that discourages the centre from voting while pushing people on either wing to the extremes increases the chance of a destabilising extremist candidate getting into power. It might look like a contradiction, but the goal is to increase support for the extremist candidate, while discouraging those who oppose the extremist candidate from voting. There's evidence that this was a major factor in 2016: Trump's base was hyper-energised, while many people who were unenthused with Hillary but thought that she'd win anyway didn't bother voting, and that ended up making the difference.
At the moment, the far right is far stronger politically than the far left in the US (the Democrats on the whole are moderate left or even moderate RIGHT from the perspective of most of the world), so Trump is the destabilising extremist candidate that hostile foreign actors are pushing for, especially given his isolationist and appeasement tendencies that would give hostile countries more room to operate. But if that situation was reversed, I'm pretty sure Russia, China et al would be just as happy to attempt to influence the election to increase the chances of a far left extremist assuming power.

I agree with this channel on over 90% of what is said. But convincing people to not vote, while also pushing a candidate is not counter productive. If you can eliminate 50% of voters, and then switch 25%, you've switched 50% of the effective vote. While reaching 75% of the "likely voters". To dismiss this attack as either "inelegant" or "stupid" you're feeding the chinese propaganda. And I fear it's due to your own bias. You seem to want to dismiss the push for Trump as misguided, which hurts the US overall, because you're dismissing propaganda because it would seem to fit your narrative or preferred outcome. I understand this channel comes at things from a more conservative slant, which is fine, until China's propaganda aligns, so you try to downplay it.

A defeat of ukraine would benefit China because it would destroy western credibility and that china is trying to push Chaos in American Politics and increase distrust in institutions such as the political system or government.
