A successful black male goes against all Matrix code, an anomaly, that no one is familiar with. The black culture is a "consumer minded" culture that doesn't value productivity. Even when black people buy at stores, they dont buy because they see the need for the store, they buy because the store has something they needed at the time. They value consumption, enjoying, having a good time, etc. Life is viewed like a theme park in black culture, "Ride as much as you can before you go home." If you value learning to build or maintaining the theme park, you are considered lame. White culture knows the value is in being a "Producer". You will never progress as a people if productivity isn't promoted.
Interesting comment can you explain this part in more detail ? "Even when black people buy at stores, they dont buy because they see the need for the store, they buy because the store has something they needed at the time."
There are people that are known as "maintenance consumers". They spend/invest their money with the thought in mind of the impact it will have on the producer, employees, family, friends, themselves, community, etc. They are mindful of their money. In the black community, generally there's no value on preservation or maintenance and its because they don't value the order of production. They spend their money and indirectly support the store, but that's as far as the mental process went. They didn't think about what it takes to keep the store open, economic impact, community impact, etc because its not important to them. They are "opportunistic consumers". They see what the producer produces as an opportunity to get what they need and sometimes by any means possible. It's like a cheater in grade school, he doesn't care how the Chinese kid studied/prepared for the test, he just wants his answers.
Lol. Chris Rock said the same thing. If you buy a big screen TV, you'd better paint it white, move it in at 3am in the morning, and hope people think it's a bassinet. Seriously, the reason why people hate on black men or successful people in general is as old as the Methuselah. You have to be really careful in telling people your plans. In the Bible, even Joseph's own brothers threw him down a well and sold him into slavery because they saw his potential and knew he was destined for greatness. People who are great or destined to be great, have to have a very small circle or might not have many close friends at all. It's just the way it is.
I work in Logistics. The dress code is business casual. I dress with my shirts tucked in my pants all the time. Especially when I'm wearing a polo. I had a sister come up to me one day and say, "Why do you always have your Polo's tucked in. You need to loosen up." I just played it off and told her, "I'm good ." Then I kept it pushing. I get this a lot from black women and it's a shame. I even have a couple of pictures of my kids at my desk. Black women at my job stay away from me like a plague. As much as they say black men should step up, be father's and become successful, when they see one that is they run from him.
The Hawk they know they can't control you. Black women collectively always need to be in a relationship with a loser/thug so they can feel powerful and needed
Black men that are successful are highly undercredited for trying to make a difference in the community. You're absolutely right, they're hated on because they're different, not following with the herd.
I deal with it now I have women who wanted to have sex with me and looked at me as an animal or toy. I could never take cuertain ppl serious now since I know what they thought about. They beat my father in a field as a marine who was successful and ranked up fast smh.
Society and especially the black community forces us to be better due to the rejection, disrespect, and unappreciative attitudes. Eagles fly alone... Look around to see what ordinary gets you...
Pretty much sums up everything I've been thinking since I was a teenager. The reason for the hate is because the successful black man doesn't follow the social streotype of what it means to be a black man. Black people will begin to think that you're better than them for some reason and will throw shade at you for any reason. I remember in my middle and high school days how when I would ace a test or project the white kids would say oh he's smart, but the black kids would say something on the lines of he thinks he's white. It angered me because I was witnessing black people purposely put themselves in a box, but get mad at others for trying to get out of the box. Goes back to the crabs in a barrel mentality.
"Your success is a reflection of others failures" That's why you get ppl who just feel some type of way when you not on the ignorant shit their on or what they think you should be on. I've always said the most intimidating man is a black man who goes against what others FEEL we should be, stepping out the boxes and NOT being easily controlled.
10:00 - Im not gonna "Name names", but I actually saw an Instagram live stream recently of a black woman who said something to the effect of: "Any grown man who is pushing 40 and has never been married, never been through a divorce or never had any kids has got something deeply wrong with them. You don't go through life and miss all of that unless women are dodging you for a reason". If all of that is wrong, then I'm gonna be one of the "Wrong" ones and I'll be "Wrong" til the day I die. #NoRing #NoKids #NoProblems 🤣
+No Body the fastest way to uncovering a woman's BS is to invert what she says. It better be the truth going both ways (and not a check valve). Now how does this sound to you.... "Any grown woman that is pushing 40 and has never been passed out drunk, shared in a gang rape, done meth, has a tramp stamp, been on welfare or dissed their daddy has something deeply wrong with them."
No nothing is wrong with you for being single at 40. I think what the women hate is that a healthy, succesful man in his 40's could get a woman in her 20's no problem, women can't do that.
Many people are indirectly jealous of a black man's success. As you stated, it can be any man, but I see how other people(even other black men) get very jealous of another black man's financial, dating or overall success!
This is so true. Especially about the tattoo part. I seen many black women that wont date a man because he don't have tattoos, earrings or a dud rag on their head. But if you don't want to date her because she have a kid and a stamp on her lower back your judgmental.
that is generally common for single parents tho? the ones who got there by the nasty means to get that kid (or to keep a man/woman) in their pathetic life.
BW hate the success of a BM because that will determine the bar or standard to be reached and maintained by her to attract and keep him. BW by and large don't want to compete or compromise or conform to anything they can't control.
Most people are stupid just a few will succeed and that's the honest truth. It is what it is. A lot of jealousy with people don't let other people control your future.
Rom I can totally relate to this particular issue because as a black man who speaks proper english (not posh) who is unusual in general and wears different limited edition clothes thats not mainstream I get a lot of jealousy from people because I dont conform to the black man stereotype in what society wants me to be because I am a single man with no kids at 35 and I dont have kids with lots of women and I am highly educated with 2 business degrees.
I know Rom because a lot of people have a sheep like mentality and is afraid of being different and care too much of what people think of them. I have a dont give a fuck attitude of how people view me because they dont know me at all. I love being different and unusual because you stand out from the crowd and people remember you in many years later because you showed a unique impression of you and it has happened to me many times.
VideoSensei I ask, but I'm learning not too ask anymore because a lot of people are very "untruthful" . Sometimes real successful people dont even know what they are doing. "Whatever it is that you do when you do what your doing.its a feeling I don't understand"
I think shit is gonna hit the fan real soon, and everyone will realize that our entire economic structure is jacked up. I wonder if these successful dudes are going to help the people that undermined them earlier?
Success is associated with the thought that someone is better than you. So when someone compares someone of a higher class to them of a lower class animosity will be there. Especially if they feel like they should be where that person is. Also there was a quote I heard in a song and it goes something like this "I usually tell someone to find something they enjoy and forget the money. It is stupid to go to work not enjoying what you do, just to go home and having to pay your bills, only to go back to work which means you live to hate your own living. It is stupid." That is true in this case. Life is living most people because they can't achieve that level of success and that reminds them of their own failures. Regardless most really feel like they could do what others above them can if they were giving the opportunity.
Our people just dont kno that inspiration is more powerful than jealousy!!!! If we got more inspired than jeolous people would have what they want in. Have u ever heard of a person hating on someone and still be successful. That doesnt mix. But there are some at the top i believe do hate on those comin up too!!! Be original or be jeolous. And jeolousy doesn't do anything for me#! I'd rather be inspired and grind!!!
Jealousy nothing more nothing less...they know your options outweigh theirs and its a challenge for them to maintain their game...period point blank...Just keep going you will eventually run into a woman that's accomondating.
Everybody is afraid of what's different. No one is allowed to be themselves. When you become successful everyone wants to see you fall and fall hard. They want to take from you. You represent those in have, while they're still among the have not. I remember in a discussion video on a particular UA-cam channel bullying was brought up. Specifically those who became successful had to endure some form of bullying. And the people in the discussion commented on how the former tormentors would try to take credit for said individuals' success. The absurdity of a former bully claiming that their bullying made that person who they today. Are they that delusional to think that their bullying was the source of that person's success? That's bullshit. The truth is that the successful people were going to make it regardless. Their success was not because, but in spite of the bullying. The bullies are just trying to excuses themselves since they're mad that they failed in bringing down someone who had the potential to become something great.
Gynocentrism. Most civilizations are/were gynocentric, so they cater to the egos and vanity of women. As Kirigakure Jones pointed out, "the natural state of man is liberty". Gynocentrism breeds slavery/codependency, so successful men represent striving for liberty, which is akin to starting a slave uprising if one rises above the herd.
"There's no such thing as a gynocracy." So why do so many "Black" women claim to be "da backbone of the community" and "I can be the momma and the daddy"? Why is any and all *legitimate* criticism of "Black" women dismissed as "Black woman hating/bashing"?
Success and working on yourself is truly the best revenge. I am a black woman and have faced some of the same issues from childhood to the present from both black men and women. In the workplace its a whole other story because White and Latina women give me hell. I just continue to self-improve and realize that much of what I do and aspire to do makes people feel threatened and uncomfortable because deep down they need to do the same or something similar (start a biz, eat healthier, take more pride in their appearance, exercise, etc.) We have more control over changing the narrative of our lives than people want to admit. Society wants everyone to conform and all black people to fail so we can be distracted and not cultivate positive relationships with each other. A happy, healthy, balanced black family is the most powerful force on the planet and in the known Universe. Great Vid, Uncle Rom.
It is kind of depressing that the "crabs in a barrel mentality" is actually a real thing. It's also a strange thing to me, because I don't really have insane jealousy like that... I have a cousin that is quite successful (medical profession), and my only thoughts there is that it sure would be nice to have achieved that kind of salary and house.... I think it occurs when people are on that absolute bottom rung of society, looking up at everyone else having so much more, and it gradually eats away at them as time goes on.
So true Rom..glad u recognize that ALL men are subject to be hated on when success is at their door..people on a whole are jealous of each other and it stings when most ppl have to live check to check and die broke..le sigh.. Rule #1 in life..u have to be odd to be #1...
Everytime people see a bm who is doing well, they will get upset because it goes against the general narrative about brothers. As long as you play the role assigned to you, people will love you. I will also say in fairness, that there are some people who are happy to see bm accomplish great deeds.
Travel first class, Brothers or stay in a 4 star hotel and see how many funny looks you get or questions, lol! I got a nice new car a little over a year ago and a white neighbor asked me didn't I just have a nice car? WTF? And yes, our people are guilty as well. Great video, Rom.
I go through the same thing my whole life at my job I`m one of the best sales people and people resent that about how well I am doing.I`m thirty years old college educated no kids and I just became a homeowner. People resented me for having two parents and a good support system and in my younger days it seems like I had to switch up my interest to fit in . Women thought I was cool but they were not sweating over me like the "thug" but now they are trying to approach me now because I have my stuff together.
Once again bro u da man I was told by a doctor the masses are asses which is true ppl. scared to think it's not illegal or go outside they comfort zone it's crazy u tell ppl something that u want to do or are doing they say why u wanna do that when I c u negative I don't fuck with u period
This makes sense, I was really confused about how I am approached by my own community (i.e. black), until I realized, no one is around because I was in the front.
It’s even worse that I’m light skin but not mixed. I’m full Haitian but i look racially ambiguous(nappy hair but soft texture) . I’m also smart, trade stocks, and am currently working towards my management information systems degree. I get hate all of the time. I’m also very attractive to the extent where women call me beautiful but i am masculine with a beard and mannerisms . i always feel outcasted but with your and my uncles help i don’t care anymore. I’m proud and do me i do need validation from anybody. At my school even my coworkers dislike especially the black women and shadow men. They try to put me down because i dress with class and have confidence in my self. I work at a computer lab and they consistently try to find things to write me up about. It’s not easy. The only good thing that i realized is that the girls really don’t care. Shadow guys can hate on you and Amazon women can dislike you but the women don’t care and still love me. Because i always stand ten toes down. The one thing i did wrong is make the mistake of telling people my future plans, and the shadow men really hate that I’m more intelligent than them. They don’t expect that from me, they expect me to be a lazy pretty boy or something. Can’t complain I hit the genetic lottery and have a lot of things going for me. I will continue to grind.
The same reasons black people in the UK and US hate the word social class and refuse to accept differences among black people and when they do it is to hate on them. Umar Johnson is a classic in popularising hatrred against successful and middle class blacks. Listen to what the dudes say, especially about people who have left their hood for whatever reason. I have found myself in the middle of shit storms within my family for acts of kindness. I have an aunty who I was very close to. She was my father's right hand. Loyal to death old school. I made some money on the stock market and gave her £10,000 to go back home to the Caribbean and chill. She had not been back for some time. My aunt refused to take the money. Not because she did not want to and eventually took £2000 because I was not backing down. She told me she did not want to create war among her kids if they knew she took the money like it would put them out. This is a woman who helped my mother look after my father when he was sick for some time until he died and wiped his ass like he was a baby. Her kids who all big ass grown folk working and married would be put out because none of them would ever think or could or would give her money like that. Told my aunt fuck them I work for my money and do what the fuck I want to do with it. Can you imagine an act of kindness to one of the most loyal and old school women I know threaten to put me in the middle of shit and draw the haters out? Experienced this before when I paid for my cousin's college in the Caribbean. Bright guy hard working but poor and will remain so unless somebody helps him to break that cycle. None of his siblings helping him or other family members but as soon as I paid up his fees all hell broke lose. The hate, resentment and jealousy is strong among too many black people who if they see you not struggling like them or handle your business in a different way it's like you do something personal to them. I had a sibbling who blew up in my face and to tell me oh its because you got money xzy..Like somehow I am flossing?.I never tell anybody I got money or talk about money like that. The big difference is this unlike her and too many I never cry to other people about my money problems. I manage what I have. Once I left home at 18 I never went back and cried for help like they do which is the norm. So, therefore, I must have money...and from there the resentment starts. Too many black people sorry as fuck.
Perry Stanislas brotha this is the realest fucking comment ever. You last paragraph i experienced last night with my own uncle. Nigga got to talking about my money and how i think i got money and im like wth? Dude went on to place threats on me and talk shit. When a black person gets mad they tell you what they are thinking. Thats why i dont fuck with most black people most or just pathetic haters
Son of Ethiopia..You not wrong bruh. Not like we living on a slave plantation like centuries ago. We are surrounded by opportunities and angles which people who come off the boat from other countries and see and exploit in five minutes..But we still here hating and dying of envy of a black person who just wants more for themselves.
Dale Winston you cant win. And in my case when I only move with my cousins and family and the small number in the family who share the same values...Oh they booshie and think they better than us..You can't win in that world so I don't try to. Family or not just get out of my face and I will keep out of yours...They will still diss you because now you are seen as sticking with folk who think they are better than them..Mental illness.
It's one thing to know that people are inclined to be envious of others, but it's surprising when it actually happens to you and hard to believe and understand.
I'm with you, currently I am studying to get a degree in cybersecurity. Planning on graduating with degree and certification in hand. If I could do it all over again, I would of done it sooner. It will be easier to be mediocre and remain where I am at now. I know it is His Will for me to suceed. So I do not care what society says.
I refuse to be the same, l was bullied, and tried to do same, which led to me getting made fun of still. So screw it l just do what l do and try to be a creator.
It's funny when you said big screen TV. I remember I was in the barbershop in this guy was bragging about stealing this women big screen TV Christmas gift. He was saying she tried hide the boxes but I seen it. Like how sad
I agree with all you say but your words of wisdom does not apply to pastors. when pastors fall ,you have to realize that you make your living off of morality.of course people are going to scorn you. you are teaching righteousness but not living it. yes everyone makes mistakes, but we have to confess and make it known to The Most High that we are penitent over our sin. its a profession that you live in a fish bowl .practice what you preach.any other profession is safe with the exception of religion and politics. the things you are saying is true, I always hide my success, you would think that in 2017 we would not be discussing the same thing.
Moral order damn that's deep. You making re-look up old words from old psychology course books I looked at and took some ten years ago. A benefactor woman, a teacher from my high school, said to me several times that "they dislike you because you didn't conform." Mind you she at one point herself, a white woman, tried to "Season" me, but I stood my ground and lost touch with her for a few years. Now she sees me and is super feminine and proud of me, even comments on my FB posts with how she's happy to know me. It's really humbling to be yourself when you know ppl want nothing more than to knock you down because you don't want to be a slave to anybody's culture. I probably lost out on some things or opportunities job-wise and random hook ups with women because I didn't convey a certain image.
The people hating on a black dude , are most likely other black people etc. Porters hate porters. As you rise, the type of haters change. Cannot stop it. Can only embrace the hate, protect yourself, and tread very carefully. Jealousy is a powerful emotion.
Universal jealousy doesn't change the fact that while other races - and mostly their lower class - talk shit about their most successful men, successful black men are in fear of their social life, reputation, safety, or even lives from all classes within their race. This is to the point that black men become political exiles and refugees, even within the same country. A major reason why I permanently moved 2,000 miles from my town of birth was for that reason.
Two Hands Up with all fingers on this one Rom! Absolutely true and accurate, there's no other way to put it! For one, people in general including other races of people but I'm going to stick to the subject and keep the topic on black men which is the subject of this video when it comes to being successful. The reason why only one person out of the bunch is going to become wealthy and a couple more outside of that will become well off but not rich is because a lot of us don't have patience and are not willing to go down that long haul drawn-out Journey which is tough and extremely rough! Like the term that's always said that many are called but only a few are chosen and that's the case in the reason why! It's for that reason because a lot of people just don't have what it takes, they don't have the willpower, strong faith, endurance and perseverance. Sorry to say, everyone is not built for certain financial success along with achieving greatness! Some people just don't have what it takes to weather the storm and make it to the top. It takes a really serious strong dedicated individual to go through the struggle and achieve greatness without giving up. It's such a tough road and journey and that's why it's so easy for most people to play it safe and go get a 9 to 5 and work for somebody else and get a quick paycheck! Especially when you're going down a entrepreneurial journey, it's definitely tough and not easy at all by a long shot and you still might have to get a 9 to 5 along the way while going down your journey to achieve greatness in the entrepreneurial world! I can tell you from my personal experience as well as my business partner. It can come down to a point in life where you might have to do that and that be the case for most entrepreneurs who are on that Journey. Bills and debts are piling up to the point where you are so frustrated and you still have to maintain your sanity and positive attitude because you could be doing a job that you don't like but you have to do what you have to do to pay those bills and stay on the pathway to that great journey that you've been longing for to come to pass as well as believing and standing on faith! That's why people never make it on the other side and experience that real financial prosperity. I've learned and realized that if you want certain Financial blessings and Rewards, you definitely have to earn it as well as deserve it. Therefore, people get jealous of you because of that reason, you had what it takes and they didn't and always be people who appear to be close to you and actually are .Just like the billionaire Charlie Munger who is multi billionaire Warren Buffett's constituent and he said it best , that this world is not crazy enough to reward a bunch of undeserving people!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*The reason why only one person out of the bunch is going to become wealthy and a couple more outside of that will become well off but not rich is because a lot of us don't have patience and are not willing to go down that long haul drawn-out Journey which is tough and extremely rough!* This statement sums up everything. I've been in some type of business since the mid-nineties. I've had times when I could fly all over the country and stay in five star restaurants and times when my meal came from a dollar store. The key for me was perseverance which ironically I distinctly remember a woman telling me that was a bad trait to have. Look where I am now though.
I've had ppl get OFFENDED with me for having prefences for wanting single childless women, not wanting a so called "strong independent" woman, women with nice body. Me thinking todays mainstream hip hop is garbage etc.. the same responds I get every time is..." who the f$#k you think you are?..you think your better or your arrogant..lol
What's up Big Rom, It takes a particular type of man to be successful a man that's willing to sacrifice his mind body and soul for what he desire and the one's that's not willing to do so tend to get jealous and try to condemn it because they don't have those attributes in their lives.
Moderately successful Black men are picked on because they/we are not successful enough. Uber successful men are not hated. On the Black scale, unfortunately, men in the area between poor and uber successful are labeled weak sellouts. It's win big or go home with us. It ain't right but it is what it is.
I notice that too. If a black man don't build a big corporation, he's a conquered beta male. Yet, it's cool for Asian men to be accountants; I know that was totally stereotypical. I think television plays a role in that. You are referring to a false dilemma or false dichotomy.
I went here today to get my mind right after dealing with a ghetto girl at my job. Had watch a few videos. In I realize she creating issues with me because she likes me but feels rejected. Because me in her arent not in the same class. So she has to tear me down. Talk about me. But I don't hold it against her. I'm not going say every black women. I'm say it's just a certain set of women. Because I had my share of good sistas who vibed with me.
Plus Rom if you follow the crowd its boring and predictable so its better to be different and unusual because its exciting and you are not bowing to societies expectations on how you should be as a man. I was never jealous of rich or successful people because thats what I aspire to be and want to be like them too.
Being a victim of jealousy is a universal thing. Period. As for the success of a few, there is personal success and worldly success and they are not easily the same thing. There is also planning and persistence and wrong guesses and accidents. Nobody knows the future such that the boat you missed was not the Titanic. Period.
Been on both sides of the track...20 - 25 I had it all fly car, fly girl and fly corporate job. As a black man NOBODY wanted to fk with me...no going out for beer, no kicking it no planning together nothing...People despised me for not fitting stereotypes to the point they wanted nothing to do with me. I had to find a whole new group of friends with more money than me. Then when I branched out to start a business my old friends STILL didnt fk with me until they had confirmation I was actually broke. Only then did they wanna start a business community together and use my knowledge. My whole environment is a product of me. I inspired a lot of people around me. My friends rush to appear like movers and shakers if I fart on Facebook. But when I actually had money..... crickets. If you're a successful black man and dont wanna be outcasted lie lie lie. If you work at a place where they can easily find out nobody there makes under 80k tell them mafuckas you're the janitor! Unless you're ready to start mingling with the big dogs permanently pretend to be broke it'll save you a lot of envy and open more opportunities up.
@@fifaguy2498 I'd honestly rather not mingle with nobody but networking is essential until we reach the very top. The older I get (31 now) the more I realize I don't like most people.
I hate the fact that people will only like us if we act the stereotype of a black person. I love video games, computers, and cars but i always get looks from people that thinks im weird or stupid. Its like you have to be a thug to get all the chicks and be accepted into society
Two roads diverged in a wood and I - I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.- Robert Frost. Taking a different path than by the heard is always going to create. an issue with some people...but I still say ..Fuck em'....Good shit Rom.
Can you please do a vid on the recent hate towards successful career women? I really enjoyed your vid. As a white woman, I in some ways have experienced similar treatment. I think it’s a good thing that people of color, whether you are male or female, are finding success. I say pursue your passion and do what makes YOU happy and ignore the haters, the racists, or the sexists. You can do whatever you set your heart and mind to achieve and never let anybody tell you you can’t or that it’s wrong to do it. I wish you all the best👍😊
The hate on successful black men goes beyond jealously. It's root cause in my opinion is a person either not having the confidence in themselves to achieve their goals or not having the skills period. Hating on another person's Success is only a mask they wear to deceive themselves & the people around them, but the reality is that they are really miserable & its sad because hating on someone will never change their circumstances.
Successful black ppl have to be different because if you the same you won't be successful. Because as black pp if your from a lower class position you don't have a immediate connections. In your right ppl hate see you go against the grain. Because it shows them what they should be doing. So it upsets them
We aren't suppose to be successful! We suppose to be Pookie and Ray Ray selling drugs and gang banging etc. LOL I have been mistaken for white many times, because of my professionalism over the phone.
A successful black male goes against all Matrix code, an anomaly, that no one is familiar with. The black culture is a "consumer minded" culture that doesn't value productivity. Great comment. This adds an important piece to the convo.
Interesting comment can you explain this part in more detail ?

Doctor's Order word.
Doctor's Order Bullseye! You are exactly right.👍

Truth.
Facts.
The Hawk Keep being professional my dude don't let ignorant people put u down.✊
Those women don't know how to relate to you.
someone needs to tell black women to 'uplift' hard working black fathers. ..but they just don't hear me tho'
The Hawk they know they can't control you. Black women collectively always need to be in a relationship with a loser/thug so they can feel powerful and needed
Black men that are successful are highly undercredited for trying to make a difference in the community. You're absolutely right, they're hated on because they're different, not following with the herd.
That's the problem.
Some people hate but it's always gonna be supportive people around just gotta block out the negativity which is hard
I deal with it now I have women who wanted to have sex with me and looked at me as an animal or toy. I could never take cuertain ppl serious now since I know what they thought about. They beat my father in a field as a marine who was successful and ranked up fast smh.
Thats funny cause my aunt told me" once u get where u want you have to stay low key! Nephew!
Elders know what's up.
💯💯💯
A lot of people especially some women feel like successful men owe them .
I haven't figured that one out to this day.
Society and especially the black community forces us to be better due to the rejection, disrespect, and unappreciative attitudes.
Eagles fly alone...
Look around to see what ordinary gets you...
You understand.
It's a sad thing. That mentality has to be killed.
F--- them. Keep climbing no matter what.
Truth.
Women kill me. They reject men all the time but then think something is wrong with one for being single.
I think what the women hate is that a healthy, succesful man in his 40's could get a woman in her 20's no problem, women can't do that.
while they also think women who do the same have something wrong with them...
Many people are indirectly jealous of a black man's success. As you stated, it can be any man, but I see how other people(even other black men) get very jealous of another black man's financial, dating or overall success!
It happens too often.
This is so true. Especially about the tattoo part. I seen many black women that wont date a man because he don't have tattoos, earrings or a dud rag on their head. But if you don't want to date her because she have a kid and a stamp on her lower back your judgmental.
Double standards are real.
THE KNOWLEDGE BEAST I wish it wasn't like this smh!
that is generally common for single parents tho? the ones who got there by the nasty means to get that kid (or to keep a man/woman) in their pathetic life.
Women feel like every man should want them.
@@ginsuma1402 no matter how many miles is on her and accept her package lol
BW hate the success of a BM because that will determine the bar or standard to be reached and maintained by her to attract and keep him. BW by and large don't want to compete or compromise or conform to anything they can't control.
That's a dynamic with some sisters.
True
Anyone can be successful but people don't want to work hard to be successful.
Truth.
Most people are stupid just a few will succeed and that's the honest truth. It is what it is. A lot of jealousy with people don't let other people control your future.
Well said.
💯💯💯
Asian women do not hate successful Asian men they actually require them to be in a very successful just to date them.
Hence why the Asian Dragon is rising.
People have real issues with that.
Thank you Bryce.
foundation degree business management and ba(hons) business studies degree.
100% truth it's like we have leprosy or some disease. It's really a damn shame.
Instead of asking why a person is successful the person will hate. Its the sad truth.
VideoSensei I ask, but I'm learning not too ask anymore because a lot of people are very "untruthful" . Sometimes real successful people dont even know what they are doing. "Whatever it is that you do when you do what your doing.its a feeling I don't understand"
Unfortunately.
Sophia Smith Yeah thats unfortunate. Its like people see you as a threat or something. Im always willing to share.
💯💯💯
That's the harsh reality, I hope I'll have a good career and grow to be successful. People hate on different, it's human nature. good video
That's the point.
When you're a black and successful male, you get the hate from all sides. Corporate politics and the old neighborhood.
True.
yesss when you get SUCCESSFUL leave the hood it's not good being there people would kill you
💯💯💯
This is one of the reasons I carry a gun
Yep.
I think shit is gonna hit the fan real soon, and everyone will realize that our entire economic structure is jacked up. I wonder if these successful dudes are going to help the people that undermined them earlier?
We'll see.
You nailed it with bringing that big tv in the house at night. Hell don't even move into the house until its night. Blacks are nosy and plot on you.
Real talk fam.
Every time you talk Rom, it's like you are speaking my thoughts.
I try to voice the thoughts of many brothas.
Well said.
Well said.
In today's world, even doing a lil better can invite envy. All I can say is, keep your guard up.
You have to do that.
Like that homeless Black woman who was a single mom and was killed for getting out of poverty!?
Drop a link for that story if you have it. That's a perfect example.
Jealousy nothing more nothing less...they know your options outweigh theirs and its a challenge for them to maintain their game...period point blank...Just keep going you will eventually run into a woman that's accomondating.
Truth.
Very true.
Good perspective.
there is no such thing as a gynocracy. This was a made up mythological Greek term that somehow got misinterpreted as fact instead of fiction.
"There's no such thing as a gynocracy."
So why do so many "Black" women claim to be "da backbone of the community" and "I can be the momma and the daddy"?
Well said sis.
Amen God bless
It is kind of depressing that the "crabs in a barrel mentality" is actually a real thing. It's also a strange thing to me, because I don't really have insane jealousy like that... I have a cousin that is quite successful (medical profession), and my only thoughts there is that it sure would be nice to have achieved that kind of salary and house.... I think it occurs when people are on that absolute bottom rung of society, looking up at everyone else having so much more, and it gradually eats away at them as time goes on.
Good observations.
Moral order programming.....every time I hear "you talk white"..."Black people don't do that"
Damn why all the hate?
Moral Order Programming is deep. I need to do a video on that subject.
So true Rom..glad u recognize that ALL men are subject to be hated on when success is at their door..people on a whole are jealous of each other and it stings when most ppl have to live check to check and die broke..le sigh..
Rule #1 in life..u have to be odd to be #1...
That's real talk though. People have to go against the grain to rise above the herd.
People crack me up looking at what you have.
Agreed!
Earl Nightingale's "The Strangest Secret". The parphrase is on point in that the numbers and the message is there.
Thanks for that info.
Once again bro u da man I was told by a doctor the masses are asses which is true ppl. scared to think it's not illegal or go outside they comfort zone it's crazy u tell ppl something that u want to do or are doing they say why u wanna do that when I c u negative I don't fuck with u period
Truth.
This makes sense, I was really confused about how I am approached by my own community (i.e. black), until I realized, no one is around because I was in the front.
Truth.
Truth.
It's one thing to know that people are inclined to be envious of others, but it's surprising when it actually happens to you and hard to believe and understand.
It's a jacked up situation.
The "Haves" can't hang around the "Have Nots"... Jealousy and strife is everywhere in the black community.
Truth.
Thanks for the shout out UNC!!!!!!!!!! Greatly appreciated man.
It was a great suggestion.
Uncle Rom your work is part of my lifestyle it drives me to keep going.
Keep Rising!
That quote is from Earl Nightingale
Thank you. I knew it was somebody big.
congratulations uncle rom on all your success, and your upper coming success you may receive.
Thank you brotha.

Great Early morning build. Society needs a restructuring.
I think it's about to happen.
It's funny when you said big screen TV. I remember I was in the barbershop in this guy was bragging about stealing this women big screen TV Christmas gift. He was saying she tried hide the boxes but I seen it. Like how sad
LOL!
Rom your videos are neat. Always listening. Thumbs up!
Thank you.
I agree with all you say but your words of wisdom does not apply to pastors. when pastors fall ,you
have to realize that you make your living off of morality.of course people are going to scorn you.
you are teaching righteousness but not living it. yes everyone makes mistakes, but we have to
confess and make it known to The Most High that we are penitent over our sin. its a profession
that you live in a fish bowl .practice what you preach.any other profession is safe with the exception
of religion and politics. the things you are saying is true, I always hide my success, you would think
that in 2017 we would not be discussing the same thing.
The hate starting already Uncle Rom someone disliked the video
I get nervous when I don't piss off at least one person.
Rom Wills I like that
Moral order damn that's deep.
You had to do what you had to do.
Facts!!
They just going to have to get over all of that.
Your talking about " The Strangest Secret" by Earl Nightingale. Its part of my affirmation list
Thank you.
What's up Big Rom, It takes a particular type of man to be successful a man that's willing to sacrifice his mind body and soul for what he desire and the one's that's not willing to do so tend to get jealous and try to condemn it because they don't have those attributes in their lives.
Truth.
Moderately successful Black men are picked on because they/we are not successful enough. Uber successful men are not hated. On the Black scale, unfortunately, men in the area between poor and uber successful are labeled weak sellouts. It's win big or go home with us. It ain't right but it is what it is.
That's another way to see it.
Seen.
Plus Rom if you follow the crowd its boring and predictable so its better to be different and unusual because its exciting and you are not bowing to societies expectations on how you should be as a man. I was never jealous of rich or successful people because thats what I aspire to be and want to be like them too.
Well said.
Thank you Rom.
i say that all the time
Rom is a master teacher exposing arcane jewels.. some too blind to see
You honor me.
Being a victim of jealousy is a universal thing. Period. As for the success of a few, there is personal success and worldly success and they are not easily the same thing. There is also planning and persistence and wrong guesses and accidents. Nobody knows the future such that the boat you missed was not the Titanic. Period.
Okay.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I'd rather mingle with the big dogs tbh. Your "friends" are not really friends. You've seen their true colours.
@@fifaguy2498 I'd honestly rather not mingle with nobody but networking is essential until we reach the very top. The older I get (31 now) the more I realize I don't like most people.
it's threatening to the power structure.
That's a deeper video.

I hate the fact that people will only like us if we act the stereotype of a black person. I love video games, computers, and cars but i always get looks from people that thinks im weird or stupid. Its like you have to be a thug to get all the chicks and be accepted into society

You never see a flock of either at once either two or just one , they’re different they stand out.
The answer is in the title of this video! 👍GREAT COMMENTARY ROM
Thanks brotha.
The quote you stated was written by Earl Nightingale. And if I'm not mistaken it came from the Book The Strangest Secret.
Well said sis.
The quote he paraphrased is from earl nightingale's podcast for anyone wondering.
Im a teacher! And i speed train athletes on the side! Working on a portfolio!
That's what's up.
The sad thing is is that I have a desire to change our community, to make change in general. Problem is is that people don’t really want change
Great Eagle 🦅 analogy. We are Apex but the majority has herd/hive like mentality…
Successful black ppl have to be different because if you the same you won't be successful. Because as black pp if your from a lower class position you don't have a immediate connections. In your right ppl hate see you go against the grain. Because it shows them what they should be doing. So it upsets them
Well said.
