This is why it’s annoying when Janice Dickinson calls herself the first supermodel. She was not and there are so many predecessors.

Her sister Dorian became famous first but ruined her health with drugs. Suzy was determined not to repeat her sister’s path, she became a top model then did some movies. Married an actor, quit Hollywood and retired. Thereafter I believe the drama ended & Suzy retired happily.

My father met Suzy Parker when he was an art director for a magazine called “Mademoiselle’s Living.” He said she was always late, but was also as sweet as pie. She would bring coffee and donuts for the whole crew, knew everyone’s name and treated everyone equally. The fact that she was a drop dead gorgeous green-eyed redhead didn’t hurt either. Gee. Actors lie. There’s a shock…not! Johnathan Harris, one of my favorite actors, lied about his theater experience (he had none) to start with his career, lied about being able to do a “genuine Polish accent” for a film role, etc. That didn’t affect his genuine talent.

She seemed bored with life and that's why she acted out. There was probably way more to her than she felt comfortable exposing. It was likely hard to be yourself during that time.

I was a Manhattan high school student 1957-1961 and remember gazing at subway ads of the beautiful Suzi Parker. She was before the era of what we now call super models, and I was just a couple years prior to getting a Ford modeling contract of my own. Suzi Parker, Jean Shrimpton and Audrey Hepburn were Trail Blazers in the late 50's - early '60's look. May I remind everyone that in those days of 32 mm film, there wasn't any computer corrections. These women were true beauties. Thank you for this vid.

Yes, there wasn't computer correction. Photographers did use color, light and shadow artfully though through makeup and setting. I understand lying to protect yourself & loved ones. Especially children. The paparazzi laws are insane, if you are hiding a pregnancy, a relationship, marriage, personal health struggles etc.. that is completely understandable.
Lying about body modifications for the sake of vanity, ethnicity, fictionalizing victimhood, making false allegations etc…

I love your videos!! Suzy was beautiful but mean spirited, but I agree that it probably did come from a place of hurt. Can you also do a video on Dovima?

I had a girlfriend who was very beautiful. she won the miss universe crown. she was a lovely person as well as beautiful. But I have to say, she attracted the WORST men. Everywhere she went - even if it was to buy something in a store - men would turn into the worst predators. She dated a few very wealthy men, but I dont think any of them cared about her. They just wanted to be seen with her. When you are fantastically beautiful, I think the nice guys are intimidated and the jerks are the ones who approach. When you are that beautiful, I dont think people really see you. They just see the exterior.

Nothing wrong with lying, but make sure that you do it well. I know a woman who totally created a resume replete with graduate degrees from Ivy League universities and executive titles with companies that were defunct. She took her salary from around $23,000 per year to $175,000.

Love the video, love Suzy Parker! Suzy Parker was featured in the 1980 documentary “Beautiful Baby, Beautiful” which may have been one of her last interviews. She can be seen there giving a little elegant shade lol. You’ll also find Wilhelmina, Janice Dickson, Christie Brinkley, Renee Russo, Maria McDonald, Iman, Jerri Hall, Pat Cleveland and others sprinkled throughout the documentary as well. You can find the HBO 4part documentary here on UA-cam and get even more of a glimpse of Suzy Parker in addition to some of the biggest modeling icons/beauties!

Karine, Suzy was creative and wanted to be remembered! Her being born ill may have contributed to her imagination!
In Hollywood, no one hardly tells their real age and they change their names for them.
She married to two losers; who wanted her money. This is a reason for her to protect herself.
As long as she's not my parents, besy friend, attorney, physician, dentist, president or husband, I wouldn't care about her personal life!
She probably lied just to see who would believe her or to protect herself. Women tell men everything and have no secrets. An open book is easily read! They are a scammers dream. You told her story very well!!🙏🕊🌸🌹🌸🌹🕊🙏
(And I would never pay for any man's plastic surgery!) 😅

My goodness she was stunningly beautiful. I can't imagine what it must have been like to look like that. She makes the so called super models of 80's onwards look very ordinary. And those clothes are out of this world!

Hi Karine, 🌹🌼 these are flowers for Suzy. I have 3 suggestions. Can you do videos of the supermodel Roshumba Williams from the ‘90’s. Yes she rocked the au natural and had the itty bitty waist. If you can find the clip of her on the runway with the oh snap moment of her spinning and her earring flies off and she catches it with a vogue pose. The perfect catch. Joanne Lumley of Ab Fab and Lee Remick. Thanks, have a blessed day 🙏🏾😊🌞💕.

I have always admired Ms Parker, not because of her talent but because of her exquisite beauty and unsurpassed elegance. I just wish your documentary had touch on her movies. I watch "Kiss Them For Me" and "The Best of Everything". I was hurt and surprised that the year when she died she was omitted from the In memorium segment. She should have been in it.

Love, love to see a beautiful redhead. As a redhead, I have never been thought of as the beautiful type. I always was competing with the blond, tan, girls from my era. (I actually think dark ethnicities are the most beautiful). But again, never have been happy with my looks. I have had BFs that like the blond, tan look, (which I do have in the summertime) and I eventually tell them, that isn't the real me. I am a redhead, pale skin, with freckles. I still do not like my looks but it is so refreshing to see a beautiful redhead! Also love Lucille Ball 💗 and Rita Hayworth even though they were not "real" redheads😁
