Hollywood hasn't changed, but society did 🎥
This ‼️‼️‼️
Truth! Hollyweird.
@@jbee4874right!!!
💯💯‼️
Well said! At least, society at large is NOT brainwashed to believe EVERYTHING that glitters is GOLD in Hollywood! A lot of darkness behind the scenes for sure. 👀
I said "What?!" as I clicked into the video!
That's what I said too! 😂😐
Same i said "what" outloud 😂😂
Same … my nosey ass 😩😂
💗I hadn't heard of her before. She had a tragic life, but glad she had people in her life who loved her. Another great video. 🩷
And did..WTH
That's tragic..she was my age when she passed..only 43..ladies, take care of yourself out there 💗
I felt that. I'm almost 43 myself. Sad. 😢
♥️
Im sorry? Sister!? *Hits play 😂
Karine, you're outdoing yourself, sis. 👍🏾
I appreciate that sis 💖💖✨
@@KarineAlourdeI appreciate you mentioning this Hollywood BS goes on today. Think about singer Montell Jordan or Barbie actress Margot Robbie. Their marriages are BARELY talked about and you know why.
@@danavixen6274please do tell, I'd really appreciate it
An Italian actress from Italy Virna Lisa left Hollywood cause she was married with a kid and she came from a normal family, but the studio wanted her to have the public persona of a single heiress with a lot of horses and an equestrian lifestyle and she could not be seen out and about with her husband and kid…
That’s wild. Image leaving your job & having to still work & put on a show. This is why Hollywood is considered creepy
🩷Hollywood is ran by powerful men so as a woman you have to use your sex appeal to get a head in that industry so a lot of women felt like using their body to make it.And it usually hurt them in the end.🩷
This is one of the ONLY channels that I’ll like the video before I watch it. I love the professionalism, the details, and empathy that goes into each video. Also, everything is always done in such a classy way. Keep up the great work sis!
I think that she was able to perform and smile right after a horrible abuse session shows that this wasn't the first time. Prostitutes get like that too and she most likely was already used to the casting couch process. I always think it's strange how these women still depend on and marry men after that, you'd think they'd want to remain single the rest of their lives instead.
They wouldn't be taken seriously or treated with respect without one. Sadly that still happens today.
@@kimrizzo7098 But she wasn't faking it, even in a lesbian relationship she depended on the ex husband to calm her down.
Abused children sometimes become desensitized & see the abuse as a norm. They then gravitate to abusers in adult life as they never had a healthy relationship template to follow.
CLICKED SUPER FAST!! what in the hell🤣🤣 I'm listing girl👂🏽👀👂🏽🧐🤔
The title made me drop my coco pops !!
Wow that’s a crazy story !! Great job ! 💗
Lorryyyy, love you girl ❤
Wow - You never disappoint. You tell stories I’ve never heard…and I had no idea. I don’t comment very often but you are one of my favorites.
Yes I love listening to her tell these stories ❤
You need to do a video or two of a deep, deep dive on old Hollywood. I know you already did a video on the 15 secrets, but I’m talking about a video or two or three of a really deep dive. Maybe do one on the FBI involvement as well.
FBI involvement not only was the FBI involved but also the mafia a lot of singers and entertainers got their start singing and nightclubs were the mafia in LA until they were chased out and went to Vegas Not only that where you think all the plastic surgery came from plastic surgery was created by the mafia because when you were a criminal when you were recognizable and you wanted to get out of that life, you will get plastic surgery to become unrecognizable
He was "Diddy out here " 😂😂😂😂😅
I really love how kind and understanding you are about the women you profile in your videos. Thank you for another wonderful portrait!
Great work, Karine. It's sad how things were, and I don't think much has changed in Hollyweird. We've got access to instant internet. There aren't many secrets that surprise me anymore. What I do get from your videos is the talent and hunger these actresses had to become stars. Sometimes at all costs: life, limb, stature, financial, drugs and s3xual abuse.✌️
Yes exactly Karine! The title had me shook hon..!!!😮❤💗
Me too
I fell in love with this channel just two days ago. 💗💗💗💗
I'm glad things have changed in that regard the studio system was something else back then and this story brings to mind Rock Hudson and his marriage in name only
Are they so different? or just get caught?
Poor women. Always living a life someone else dictates for you. Dead at 43. How tragic is that. Sometimes it pays to be a little homely!
Love your videos, Karine. This one was a very sad story.
🩷🩷 what a good story. Love your stories about old Hollywood!
Karine Alourde Your voice is beautiful. You are CLASSY
Hollywood was sick then and even more so now.
💖 great story! As always!
🩷🩷🩷 your storytelling skills are amazing! I could watch your videos all day long!
Me too
I never heard of her. interesting, tragic story. you have done it again! thanks!
everybody relieved at 1:37
Have to admit it, I was wtf...click! Another great video! Thank you! 💗
U can't tell me Tom Jones wasn't given a history... that is a whole light complected melanated man.
He probably had 1/16th african ancestry. That would make him a whole white man
Saw a video Clark Gable also.
He does look melanated.
Tom Jones prob had more black than that. He's not white. Could also be Jewish or Silician or Creole. @@RAJOHN-ke7mc
😂😂 I always remember thinking he's the 1st white guy w/ kinky hair... I was also introduced to him thru fresh prince of Bel Air
Yes, I clicked quick! 😂
😂😂😂
Omg me too i was flabbergasted lol
Lightning fast..
Love your videos, always so respectful and insightful
🧡 Great job and thanks for explanation in the beginning
These stories are just fascinating!!! ❤
You actually made some great points.Thank you.
💗💗💗 bless her, what a tough ride. And bless you, Karine for your sensitive approach 💗💗💗
I love that you keep these old Hollywood stories alive!❤
🩷💗 "he was the Diddy of his day ya'll " 😂❤ I've always loved your content! Although I will admit I VERY much miss your uploads about life in Haiti and the different spiritual beings etc. . Speaking of Sade has been in a lot of YT recommendations for me as of late which reminded me of your EPIC video you did on her! Lots of love, light and blessings to you sis 🫂❤️💚
Karine, you are one of the greats. Thank you for respecting Joi's work and honoring her memory. 🩷
@Karine love your videos!! Great job researching all their life details and the beautiful pictures. 🙏🏽❤️
Excellent story. I really enjoyed it.
Your videos are always fantastic- your research and presentation is ON POINT! i love watching and listening and learning with you- thank u for your hard work ❤
Yep, I clicked quick! 😂 Fascinating story

Now this is journalism 😊 the true tea is always best when its talking truth.
Great work!
❤
I love the way you give life to these peoples lives, I would like to see your take on either Gloria Graham or Carole landis. Thank you.
Oooooooooh yeah ! That's a pretty heavy story out here...😲
Yes me re-reading the title thinking i mis-read it 😂
Yes, I hurried up & click 😮 I indeed do enjoy Karrine but boy 'o' boy this lady is not beautiful!
Karine, please do a video about Minnie Ripperton.
Great video!💗💯⚜️
Hollyweird has a long history…
such an interesting story!💖💓
Wow!! This caught my attention
Wow! Hollywood. Are you going to do a story on Chita Rivera?
Yes, please do Chita Rivera!
Yesssss
This was a sad story with some comfort in the end. Props to Lucy 💖💖💖
💓💓 Fascinating and also sad what actress endured in the past
You constantly amaze me.
Have you ever covered Anne Francis? She played female private detective Honey West in the mid-60s. Pretty fun series and groundbreaking for the time period.
Oh wow I remember Honey West! I used to watch that when I was a little girl.
Not yet, she is on my list ❤❤
Pink 💕💕💕
I also remember watching that show when I was a little girl and I liked her a lot because she always gave me the impression she was what we call a smart blonde .
Shout out to you !!❤ my fav fav fav channel!
I really enjoy your content.
I really appreciate the great job you do of bringing these less known stars stories to us. I grew up watching classic movies, and still do today. Keep up the good work, love it. Ms. Lansing was a beautiful. It sad that she never got to be who she really was ❤ 💕 💕
Wow, I don’t know what to say about all that other than to say you are a good storyteller!
You have a wonderful voice,
It is funny that you did THIS profile. She is included in the 1972 entry for "In Memoriam". Before seeing that I had no idea who she was despite me being 57 yrs old. She died the same year as Mahalia Jackson and Dan Blocker (Hoss Cartright) from Bonanza.
Dang ! I clicked so fast… but what a story ! I see why Hollywood does these things .
You really have some great stories to tell. Its crazy how many stars were gay or lesbian
Would you be willing to do a video on Francis Farmer? She's a strong woman from Hollywood's Golden Age, but her story was really buried after she was destroyed in the media. I love your videos, so cool how you're sharing these hidden gems!
I thought it was repulsive that studios pushed gayness to avoid pregnancy. Couldn't they just supply free condoms or pay for weddings for hetero ppl, and not focus on homosexual ppl.
😂 this comment is giving bothered
I think the entertainment industry itself encourages same sex liaisons.
Karine I enjoy your content so much that it’s apart of my weekly schedule now; Please do some videos on:
Julie Newmar
Moms Mabley
Sage Stallone
Anne Margaret
Farrah Fawcett Majors
And Barbara Stanwick.
I know this is a lot but video and editing is amazing and I find it truly fascinating.
Mj
Thank you for profiling starlets that I haven't heard of. Joi kind of resembles a mixture of Carey Mulligan and Kirsten Prout.
I see it!
No Joi is a mixture of Naomi Watts and Reese Witherspoon or Naomi Watts and Renee Zellweger
@@jrmetmoi I'm not debating. It's subjective. I definitely see Kirsten Prout.
I cannot believe the caption of this video!!
Nice video
Love your videos!!
Yes! I did click and said to myself, “What ?!? In the 🌎?😮
Another Elegant Blonde Bombshell 😍 , Nicely Done Karine (Do she put you in the mind of Jessica Capshaw a lil bit…The woman who played Arizona Roberts on Greys Anatomy)
Ah yes she does actually 🤔
@@KarineAlourde she do tho just a lil bit. Also Elizabeth Taylor too
Great video. Some people create fake lives for UA-cam. Social media So you can’t imagine what they would do for hollywood fame. Lol.
I love all your videos❤❤❤ . Can you please do a video on vampira Maila Nurmi for me/us? ,she was done very wrong and I know you would do an awesome video on the subject ❤😂😊
I'm scrolling and BAM😂I'm like wtf 😂 and honestly 2nd I've always loved 1930's to 1960's Hollywood Woman wonder who will have a channel and I saw an Angel😂💙💯u. Love ur videos💙💙💙
I love your channel
Wow how amazing
Can you do a video on Joan Crawford please, her childhood and her child abuse allegations? 🙏
I can’t believe I haven’t heard of her.
Never heard of her😵💫😵💫😵💫
Same and she’s gorgeous
💗💗💗💗💗💗🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑 I added the peach for the peachy color
Goodness, Chrisean Rock is her doppelganger!
Yes! 9:29, 9:50, and 10:58 my goodness! Good eye!
Could you please do a video on Jimi Hendrix if you have not?👏🏻🎼🎸
Now, I get it. So sad❤️🌷
I hope you have an, Old Hollywood. story about Carmen Miranda. I absolutely adored her headpiece’s she wore was gorgeous especially in Technique Color films
Wow the title…I read it & said what in the trailer park hell😂😂😂
Ah! I remember that shot @0:46 from the end of a Tex Avery cartoon!
Joi’s story is sad,the title of this video had me at wtf!😳 🩷
Tv series: the arrangement is about a famous male star that is managed by his agent and who he dated.
I believe Cindy Crawford had to marry Richard Gere to keep her career
How does Hollywood push same sex relationships but at the same time want to hide them?
The 50s 60s 70s it was frowned upon
It was explained. It kept them from making kids.
Wow, never heard of her but interesting all the same, ❤❤❤❤❤ loving these documentaries on these stars.
I love your videos.🩷🩷🩷
💔 Well are things any better now for aspiring actresses? I read that the casting couch is still around- X10. So strange how people want the fantasy, while others are falling all over each other to fulfill it. RIP Joi😔
No
Hollywood and sadly most movie and entertainment industry are grooming and harrassment gorunds for young men and women alike
Have you done one on Amy Winehouse??
Speaking of men in Hollywood being gay….I would love to see a video on Rock Hudson. He was a gay man in Hollywood and was a loved actor. He married a woman to keep his image in tact. He was also one of the first American celebrities that was well known that passed away from an AIDS related illness.
So was Carey Grant , Cliff Montgomery an so many more
@@girlonfire2.076you have the name backwards it's Montgomery Clift not Cliff Montgomery
