The best way for US to get Greenland is to either lease parts of it or pay for the whole thing. Give Denmark a few billion $$$. Greenland for Denmark is just a white elephant.
What about offering the inhabitants a say in it? Make an offer to the 60,000 people who live there (according to a lookup I just did on the fly, no real research) and let them decide if they would rather be governed by The Constitution of the United States or by the governance of Denmark.
@@Raelspark Good point. That gets rolled into the terms and conditions of the offer. And of course, ignorance of the Constitution is no defense from it.
They don't want to be part of America, most Americans don't even know they exist. What is expansionism but another -ism? A primary technique of the Sophists as the means to hide the truth was to rename what a thing is into what it is not. Aristotle, in Sophistical Refutations from line 165a1, refers to this indirectly as The Turning of Names. Leo Strauss on his condemnation of the Modern Scientific Development notes the introduction of the voluminous technical jargon in the study of philosophy. The Modern Scientific development began approximately with Machiavelli and Hobbes, in the 16th century and ended in the failures of the 20th century's Positivism and Historicism. This is 400 years of language that is detached from the things that it is supposed to represent. These theories when put into practice, that is, when taken seriously, stifle thinking such that the believer has not obtained knowledge about the subject whose definition has been obfuscated. The result is that by proliferating the refutation they are as a matter of fact supporting the very thing, or activity, to which they claim they are opposed. This is the cleverness of the Academic dialogue; confusing their followers in to a submission such that they are not acting on knowledge but the lack of it. Today, the proliferation of nonsensical jargon continues unabated and it is, as Leo Strauss recognized and advised, only a dominance of Aristotle's wisdom that can expel the Academic's cleverness. Aristotle taught how to demolish refutations by practicing deductive reasoning.
@@Alejandro-cn5yp It all depends on your genes. I've met senior citizens that smoke and are perfectly healthy. My grandfather never smoked, avoided sugar (feared diabetes would make him lose his leg), and died from 5 different Cancers at 95. The lesson I learned is do what you want, see your doctor, and don't live in fear. My grandmother enjoyed her sweets, was a little chubby, and died at 95, while sleeping. No Cancer, no problems.
If healthcare was unshackled from the government, who knows, we could be living into our 200s or more. I hope i live to see deregulation and amazing innovation in things like age reversing medicines and technology.
You people are deranged about Trump. It would obviously be good to get our hands on Greenland. A country is not just some floating abstraction. A country is an actual concrete entity (Recognizing that doesn't make me a concrete bound mentality LOL). We do live in a material world. You are the ones engaging in mystical thinking. Gaining certain territories could be objectively good for America and Americans.
It would give better access for American companies and workers to vasts amounts of resources and would be critical for monitoring Russia's arctic fleet among other national security purposes. Plus it seems like the Greenlanders would prefer America to Denmark
The number one reason for the USA to assimilate other territories into The Constitution of the United States is the benefit of improving the constitution of its inhabitants. This was more obvious a century ago than today.
Trump is a short-range, unsystematic, compromising politician willing to make a deal with murderous dictators. He gave international respect to Putin and Kim. He's a Pragmatist whore with no absolutes. He will sacrifice individual rights to his mystical ideal, the nation. He's a small man pretending to be big.

I heard Hannity praising Trump for "thinking outside the box" regarding Panama and Greenland. Whacky stuff.
CNN has been reduced to weak smiles over Trump. They dont have any energy for outrage.
More like obleftivists being entirely detached from reality regarding everything. As usual.
Thank you for this.
It's strange that the live chat replays aren't showing up the last two days when I can't watch live.
If a livestream is edited at all, as I understand it, it loses the live chat.
You have to wait for the processing to complete, which, according to UA-cam, can take up to an hour. It looks like it is there now (remember to jack up the speed on the play back).
You have to wait a few hours before it full livestream (chat and all) and uploaded.

They would need a basic understanding of the US constitution.
I mean that’s what Trump wanted to do in his first term. Denmark just doesn’t want to sell, for whatever reason.

Ayn Rand would be 120 in 2025. But a woman in Japan just died at age 116.
She did unfortunately smoke cigarettes. It’s unfortunate same thing happened with Christopher hitchens
