I remember one Sunday night as a kid my dad ordered some pizza, I ate up and then played Oblivion for like 5-6 hours. One of the fondest gaming memories of my life
It's basically Monty Python - The Video Game. I've been playing it since it came out, it has so much charm and character and always makes me laugh, on top of being a really good rpg with brilliant quest lines.
Hated sword and sorcery/ open world games until I played this game. Now, I keep trying to play games that are similar, like Skyrim, Fallout 4. I guess I'm a Bethesda fanboy because of Oblivion.
the charm is unbeatable. the best elderscrolls have all been made. there is little chance the next one will be any good. the Bethesda we used to love no longer exists
I agree. I really wonder how peoples views will change once skyblivion and skywind are complete and people can play them with comparable graphics and mechanics
@huberthumphry280 I really can't wait for Skyblivion. I'm afraid that Bethesda does something to mess it up, like issuing them with a cease and desist right before the release as I heard that Bethesda has their own Oblivion remaster in the works.
@@mikeredacted Bethesda has written a Monthly Modder article on them. They are in communication with each other. I don't think they have plans for a remaster because it is just too daunting of a task with how much hardware/software changes since then (and they witnessed the mess of GTA III remasters) besides, they will get the sales without the work since you will need skyrim special edition and oblivion/morrowind to play it. So most likely they will just do a re-release of the original games if there is demand and get $$ with little investment
I mean, people will see how much better and more original Morrowind was. But, to be fair, both games will benefit massively from those projects - Oblivion mostly in the fact every side quest and side dungeon will now actually be bespoke and cool rather than some half-assed fetch quest in a procedurally generated samey dungeon. Morrowind in that its combat (even tho Skyrim's is pretty terrible too) won't get people to claw out their eyes after 10 minutes.
I still have yet to play Morrowind completely through, but it is objectively the best as a true hardcore RPG. However, Oblivion is my favorite and was a staple during my childhood. I was so hype for Skyrim and I loved it but it didn’t come close to the magic of Oblivion
Really strange way to say Morrowind. Oblivion had the two best guild questlines ever (thieves guild and dark brotherhood) and the best Bethesda DLC ever (Shivering Isles) which is.. well.. quite a lot. But the main game, with its rather asinine plot and repetitive tracks to various shitty Oblivion pocket dimensions? The switch from so much original and cool new shit, from architecture and armor to weird ass mushroom houses to basically a completely generic medieval fantasy world complete with even-when-it-came-out terrible looking minotaurs? Eh, not so much.
Definitely my favourite elder scrolls game. The music, the story were so well put together. Great video.
Mine too, Morrowind is objectively the best one but oblivion was my childhood and I love it

I was about to watch a video about fallout 4 before seeing your youtube ad. thank you for saving me.
Oblivion and Morrowind > Fallout 3 > Skyrim > fallout 4 ( L decent game but doesn’t fall anywhere near the other old Bethesda classics
It’s my favorite Elder Scrolls game. I’ve played it many times, and it’s one of my most favorite games of all time

Love the game but the oblivion gates get kinda repetitive
Skyrim is for everyone,
Morrowind is hard but fun,
Oblivion is skyrim but with extra and then sum in survival
if yall pick the esoV for graphics its only cause they had more time to work with that game engine

Feel free to discredit Skyrim it's overrated
