Most important place to get the carbon out is inside the top ring groove. If carbon is left in the top groove and new rings are installed in the rebuild the carbon will not allow the rings to compress properly. There goes your high dollar rebuild because your piston's top land broke.

For example different cam setups, intake manifolds for different builds/budgets, favourite turbo setups for daily/fast road/track/racing.. etc... making 400 on a k04/k06 setup?

Im extremely happy when theres more videos from you regardless of the length type But i would appreciate a video on z20let engine auxiliary water pump which is not working after car is switched off. I have changed mine and when the car is switched off it dont work but does work when car is first turned on and runs until just above around 80degrees , then it wont come on again ,untill another cold start. So essentially not acting as an after run pump but more of a heater matrix resource. Any advice would be greatly appreciated too

Gasoline alone will dissolve all that carbon very quickly. If you add a fuel injector cleaner with PEA (polyetheramine). The carbon dissolved in minutes simply agitating with a soft brass bristle brush.
That’s it. I just did all 6 heavily encrusted pistons from a 240z and it took less than 30 minutes.
