Try Astha mall In Sudirman SCBD. It’s not that big but with another different vibe. Better go there in the afternoon to chill with some ice coffee in their nice cafes & you can still walk around in SCBD complex in the evening ( so it’s wont be to hot & humid). From there us Trans Jakarta to go back to Jalan Thamrin the area where your hotel are. You can use your MRT card for Trans Jakarta payment.

Jakarta's really great to spend your money eating hip foods in many hip cafés. There are ton of em. The prices shouldn't be a problem for you because you're foreigner. Expensive for the local might still cheap for you. But if you want to eat like a local, there are also many old legendary restaurants which are cheap but freaking delicious. Just not as comfy as mall restaurants.
