How thick should my plywood be for a base on a bench cushion, the cushion will not be load bearing as it will be placed on the bench. The plywood is just to hold the foam with a vinyl cover, I can go 1/8 or 1/4

It depends on what length staples/nails your using to attach the fabric, you dont want them poking through.
