Great video, Matt! More gadgets of any kind, please. BTW, check out Laura on Garden Answer, she, like you & me, plays piano and just got a baby grand Steinway. I love you & your wonderful family, Matt! 💜🏜️
Yes thank you very much for posting! I didn't realize how much online shopping I do until I found your channel. Can you make videos about other online shopping services? Touch of modern, Instagram and Facebook markets, etsy ect?
The can drainer can also be turned around so that you can press the strainer into can such as tuna to press out all the water or oil. It's great . I've had one in the kitchen for years.
Butter goes on the counter! I recently bought a butter dish after we moved and everyone was blown away at how amazing it is. The butter is always spreadable and for some reason I think room temp butter has a better taste!
You’ve asked about our butter habits before! To recap, I keep my butter in the fridge, removing 1 stick at a time when needed and leave that stick out till used up. It actually rests in the neat little butter dish you advised me to buy from Dollar Tree last year. 😀
@@FearhandWinner I haven’t tried it for longer than a week. Google reports salted butter is safe on counter (makes sense considering the preserving qualities of salt). Google also reports a butter crock will keep it for weeks.
Butter can sit out for a while without going bad. I've used it a month later without detriment. Also, a butter dish is the best way to store it on the counter. Butter crocks and butter bells can actually make it go bad faster.
I got that can strainer in college from pampered chef and it's a game changer! It goes on top of regular cans but fits perfectly inside tuna cans to get ALL the liquid out!
Yes, I have used that for years. Just turn it over and squeeze out all the liquid. It works great and the tuna ends up as "dry" as you like - I like mine very dry. Mine (which is probably 20 years old) is top-rack dishwasher safe - I assume the new ones are too.
I have been having the plastic bag holder for bout 15yrs easily n I love it, it holds so many bags its truly amazing n looks neater than the cloth bag holders.
I have that same can colander that I purchased from a local store, and I LOVE it. I use it mainly to drain tuna and chicken cans but have used it on occasion to drain veggie cans as well. I have also recommended to family and friends.
YES! The can colander is a great gadget. I have used one of these for years. Turn it upside down in a can of tuna, press down over the sink and drain ALL the liquid easily. These are wonderfully useful gadgets! And the spaghetti measure is also very useful - I had a plastic one years ago. I’ll get a new one of these. Thx Matt!
For the can colander - you can use it on the inside the rim of the cans - for things like tuna that you squeeze out the extra liquid. I have a couple of these items. Typical the butter dish is on the counter - with real butter.
That looked like a very useful tool that we don't already have! We are trying to minimize our house, but that looks like it's worth the minimal space it makes up to have one.
We stock up on butter when it's on sale, so I usually keep some in the fridge and some in the freezer. We always keep some on the counter for eating and baking. It's easier to spread and bake with. I also keep a little margarine on hand, too. That always stays in the fridge. I want one of those toasters!
1. I keep my butter in the fridge. 2. I have that sink caddy and love it (when you show products I have I feel so validated!) 3. I need those lid holders, containers and finger chopsticks!!
The push handle chopper is fantastic! I had one for almost 20 years. Loved it. Then son moved in with his bride and their children. Never saw it again. It is fast, effective, easy to clean and so much quicker than using a food processor or doing it by hand. I need to get another! As an FYI, the colder the onion the less gas escapes and burns your eyes. If storing them in the fridge isn’t possible, you can also do it under running water. How? Peeling is easy but chopping under water is baffling to me. You might be able to figure it out. When I have to chop onion for a recipe, I chop the entire onion and put the chopped onion I did not use in a plastic bag in the freezer. If it is a lot of onion left, or if you do several, divide them into the snack size freezer bags and put them in the freezer. Speaking of chopping and freezing, I like to use orange zest in a lot of recipes. Whenever I buy mandarins or “Cuties”, I toss the peels into plastic bags. They are the sweetest and most flavorful orange peel and when I need some for muffins, cookies, cakes like carrot cake, some stir fry dishes like orange chicken or cold jello salad or cranberry sauce, I pull it out of the freezer and very thinly slice it and use it.
The can colander is my best tool. The handles are designed so you can invert the can over a glass or mug and save the liquid. Excellent for canned fruit and the liquid from garbanzo beans.
Got the text and headed right over! Love the paper towel, foil, plastic wrap! Going to order that today. And butter on the counter for short term use. We live in Florida but generally go through it so fast it doesn't go bad 😁
You made one boo boo! The can strainer. You can turn it around and press on the tuna to get the water out easier. They sell at walmarts for only $2.00. I have seen them at Ross stores for $4.99 or flea markets for $5.00. But the walmarts one is far cheaper and works great!
Matt!!! I love you!! you are SSOooooo much more entertaining than ANY talk show/ comedy show/ or reality tv show I've ever watched! You're adorably transparent and real. I actually belly laugh when I watch you ...in addition to learning where, what and when to buy certain items. A million thanks to you for loving what you do (or at least looking like it).
Okay so the two things I REALLY need from this list are the pasta measurer (even though it's just myself and my husband, I'll cook a whole box just to have multiple meals) and the stainless steel holder for brushes and sponges. I LOVE the drip feature so that you don't have to take everything out. Thanks for this video, Matt! (And all your videos, for that matter.)
for my butter, I recently invested in a butter crock (from Amazon) and am enjoying it so far and would definitely recommend to anyone. holds one stick at a time and keeps in fresher on the counter than a regular butter dish would, the rest I just keep in the fridge.
I have kept butter on the counter my whole life, which is a long long time! Thanks for asking, except if it's like 95 outside causing the butter to partially melt, then it would go into the fridge.
I haven't even watched the video yet, but I know this will be great! Thanks for all your hard work, Matt! We all love your humor and informative videos!
@@thedealguy Update -- watched the video, LOVED it as anticipated. I laughed WAAAYYY too hard at your couch/snack chopstick segment... 🤣 Very relatable!
I love your videos. I just bought 3 of the items. I've been putting my butter on the kitchen counter for about 6 months now. Best thing I've ever done :) Soft butter all the time.
For the packaging being well done, give credit to the seller, they give heart & soul, on making sure a lot of times pay extra for their quality of their products and packaging! Well done seller👍
I saw a review on this toaster and it was 50/50. For the price I will just make myself happy with my 10.00 unit. Thanks Matt, I have told my wife about some of the deals and she was quite happy.
Thanks Matt for always keeping your videos informative and funny. I loved the snacks on the sofa ! Going to order a couple of items today. I keep a stick of real butter(Kerri Gold) in a covered butter dish on my counter.
I am not going to buy any of these …. But when I was a kid I was fascinated by these guys that are selling “ novelties” in open air markets ( I am from Europe) . I could not understand how they managed to talk so fast and never repeat themselves and was so envious of their enunciation and speed! So thanks for these videos! Best way for me to relax!
I just found your videos today. I really love your energy, it’s highly infectious 😍👏👏👏 it’s a no brainer to subscribe for me. Thank you for your amazing content!
Hi Matt. As usual, loved the video. You asked how we store our butter. I store mine in the frig and also on the counter. I use a "butter bell" on the counter. You put the butter in the lid and then a bit of water in the holding dish which forms a seal to keep air out. Mine is cut glass antique, but you can get them everywhere now. Keeps the butter fresh and smooth for easy use.👍
I think I'll buy that set of silicone covers for butter and cheese, super handy! I bought several storage jars on clearance at Old Time Pottery, but the Amazon price is EXCELLENT!
I'm not big on kitchen gadgets that only have one purpose, but the can colander is great! You can squeeze the water out of a tuna can without having fish smelling hands! It's also great for draining canned beans and vegetables. All of these gadgets seemed pricey to me, even the can colander, but I would pay for another one!
My grandmother had a wrap dispensers way back in the 50s and 60s. I loved using it because it was so convenient and easy. Wish I could find a picture of one.
I'm actually really glad I watched this, I have a small mini fridge in my apartment room but have a hard time leaning down all the time to fetch milk or other drinks due to space issues. (and a bad back) so I'm really considering those automatic drink dispensers.
I am 100% sure that the “brush holder“ for the food chopper is actually a garlic peeler. You put whole cloves of garlic in there, you move it on the countertop like you’re making a snake out of Play-Doh, and it peels the garlic for you. And since the description says “garlic peeler included“ that would be it.
Hi Matt, thank you for yet another great video. We always stick a couple sticks of butter on the counter and the rest stays in the fridge. It is good in the Summer, but come Winter it doesn't seem to matter, it just doesn't get soft enough. Have a great Thursday!!
How warm do you keep your house in the winter, Angela? I'm in the NE, so I do have winter here. I keep my house at 69-70 so my countertop butter is still spreadable.
Fun products. A few thoughts. - I NEED the pot lid holders!!! - The can strainer is great. I found it at the 99¢ store about a year ago (and still see there) so keep eyes open if there. - The finger chopsticks are fun. But would have to be for NO sharing bowl for me. Once eating off it, I couldn't help but think of double dipping.] - I want the mama baking soda holder. It would just make me smile when seeing it in the fridge.
Found a black and white penguin baking soda holder at Walmart about three years ago and should have gotten two, one for freezer!, as next time zI was in they were sold out, and did not get them in again!
I don't use real butter often, so I keep it in the fridge... but I DO have a butter bell, which I sometimes will use and leave on the counter. I can't use it year round here in south Texas, because even with air conditioning, it's too warm in the summer to use it - the butter just falls out. LOVE your videos :)
Oh my gosh! I didn’t even know half these products existed. Nor did I know I needed them…but I totally do! That toaster is going straight in my wish list for Mother’s Day. As for butter, on the counter in a covered butter dish. Always ready to spread that way. Matt, I will forever watch your videos picturing you in your shirt and tie…and athletic shorts!!🤣🤣🤣 Thank you for your awesome and fun videos!
Great video Matt! And ditto to Elizabeth! I didnt know most of these existed. My favorite was the one for cheese/butter. I keep all dairy in refrigerator. Thanks for all your videos. Ice cube tray cool idea to use to teach kids too ;-) enjoy day all!
My favorite is the stainless sink caddy, especially since it allows easy emptying of the drippings Thanks so much for great videos. We keep 1 to 2 sticks of butter in our butter crock on the counter.
I always clean the top of the can before I open it. So I just use it for a strainer. I push down on the lid in the middle after it's opened and push down on one side and it pops up on the other side to remove the lid.
I love the stainless steel caddy! Definitely going to get this! Thanks for the great video as usual Matt! Always look forward to them. Have a great day
Hey Matt! Thank you again for great deals. The cup with the built in straw is great for the environment too besides looking for a straw and it’s already attached! You rock! Keep up the great work!
I love the can strainer I got mine from Walmart for a dollar great invention it saves you from losing your vegetables or whatever you're trying to drink you have a lot of cool kitchen gadgets on your channel
We are room temperature butter users. We have found that the "Butterie" from "The Grommet" is the best keeper for us. It holds 2 sticks of butter and has a lid that closes with the touch of a finger. Comes with its own spreader, but we prefer the thinner, neater feel of a butterknife.
Matt, I actually bought the #6 item the can strainer about a year ago. It's an awesome product! I use it for canned tuna and canned chicken. It works like a charm! Thank you so much for putting together all the research and videos you do for so many different stores and huge variety of products! We appreciate all you do and that you share the info. Be well and stay safe!
I agree about the can strainer, we have 2 of them. We use them to drain the oil from a can of tuna in oil into a saucepan, add flour and milk and make a thick white sauce, then stir in the tuna and chopped hard boiled egg to make tuna and egg pies. Saves throwing away the oil that has all the tuna flavour in it. One question though, why drain the tomato sauce from a can of baked beans in tomato sauce? I always just tip them into a saucepan and heat them.
I must say the snack chopsticks demo was my favorite part! Thanks for another fun video! Oh, and my butter is out in a heavy crystal butter keeper. Just soft enough to spread.
The Dollar Tree has those can strainers. It also has a "dip" in it for smaller size cans. You can also turn it around and push the strainer INTO the can, great for things like draining tuna!
Happy new year friend, how are you doing today. It’s my pleasure to have you here and to talk with hope you don’t mind? I don’t mean to be rude that’s why I’m asking if we can be friends, if yes text me back thanks and God bless you and your family
@thedealguy i think the brush holder you mentioned for the food chopper (04:13) is actually to help you more easily peel garlic skin. you just put garlic clove(s) in it and while adding some pressure with your palm, roll it back and forth on a hard surface. I have personally never tried it myself. just seen it demonstrated on other youtube vids. hope this helps ^-^" and i think it's great if it can double as a brush holder as well!
I love watching your videos. About the butter, I always keep mine on the counter. Then we can have either winter butter or summer butter ( depending on the season) 😂 of course the back up butter is in the fridge.
Love your reviews deal guy! They are funny but also provide real reviews and products that we've all might have seen and thought "but does it work" especially when it comes to kitchen gadgets.
I have had 2 sink caddies for a couple of years, the stainless one by the kitchen sink and a white one next to the bathroom sink where I keep toothbrushes (including my rechargeable toothbrush) and toothpastes. Love them both!
Came over from the secret text group☺️☺️ Love the video as always!!!! Your Sam’s and Amazon videos for the holidays saved us sooo much money and kept us well within our Christmas shopping budget!! I see the slicer and the silicone covers will be on my doorstep this weekend ☺️☺️☺️ So appreciative of the hard work you put in to provide excellent content. Great job Matt and Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family!!!
Thanks so much for popping over! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment Shana!! Ooo let me know what you think of them once they arrive!!
With labeling products you should always include the expiration date. I use a dry erase marker for the expiration date. There is a dry erase board type vinyl you can use to label things 🥰
The can colander is wonderful. I bought them in bulk from ebay a few years ago to give as stocking stuffer gifts for family and co-workers. Everyone liked them!
So many cool items in this video! I'm going to grab a few of these. That can colander ~ that is indeed a game changer. Thanks!! Also, that food hugger will come in handy. Although that means I will no longer have an excuse to eat an entire block of cheese in at sitting...
One of my favorite finds is a K-cup manual coffee maker. You only need hot water, pop the cup in, and plunge. $20 Great for camping if you have a camp stove to boil the water.
We love you as well Matt. The finger chopsticks look interesting as that I’m not the best at using regular chopsticks. Note: with the device for draining cans , you can also invert it and push it into the can to attempt to get most or all of the tuna packing liquid out of the can if you wish. Can’t wait or Valentine suggestions. Thanks
Hey Matt! Love all of your videos! I’m from the secret text society (STS) I have that slap chopper, and I love it . I use it with almost every meal. I have one stick of butter that I keep out in a butter bell. Thank you for all you do for us! Can’t wait to see the deals at Costco for February! 😍☀️😎
Added those food huggers to my list! I’ve had several of those food choppers/blitz hackers over the years, they are efficient and easy to clean and not another think I have to plug in. Thanks as always for your reviews
Great video Matt and fantastic Amazon finds. I do have the pasta gauge, the chopper and the can colander that I purchased years ago from Pampered Chef. Unfortunately, I paid way too much back then but they are good and durable. As for the butter the answer is yes. I keep one stick on the counter and the rest in the fridge or freezer when I buy in bulk at Costco.

The can strainer does not fit into a tuna can and to push water or oil out of the can. I had an old can strainer, which was perfect.
Glad NOT to see an avocado 🥑 slicer.
@@SharpLife4 maybe target!
(and a bad back) so I'm really considering those automatic drink dispensers.
knocking it out of the park yet again Matt... I go back to a lot of your videos for ideas!! keep up the great work
I am 100% sure that the “brush holder“ for the food chopper is actually a garlic peeler. You put whole cloves of garlic in there, you move it on the countertop like you’re making a snake out of Play-Doh, and it peels the garlic for you. And since the description says “garlic peeler included“ that would be it.
Thanks Matt! I went to your link and bought the paper towel/saran wrap/tinfoil dispenser...very cool item to use in my "space starved" kitchen...❤
Thanks for watching!!
I have had a "Butter Bell" on my counter for years, absolutely marvelous. It keeps you butter soft and easy to use
Pink shirt, grey tie, and dark shorts...Interesting combination...LOL 😉
Hi Matt, thank you for yet another great video. We always stick a couple sticks of butter on the counter and the rest stays in the fridge. It is good in the Summer, but come Winter it doesn't seem to matter, it just doesn't get soft enough. Have a great Thursday!!
Have a great day too Angela! I'm a butter in the fridge type of guy, but your comment is convincing me to switch
How warm do you keep your house in the winter, Angela? I'm in the NE, so I do have winter here. I keep my house at 69-70 so my countertop butter is still spreadable.
The European butter is higher fat and is spreadable in 10-15 minutes after taking from the fridge!
Once eating off it, I couldn't help but think of double dipping.]
- I want the mama baking soda holder.
The food chopper can be bought at Family Dollar stores for $5.00.
I bought one like 10 years ago for $2 or $3, it's a great tool.
I want one two!
Thanks for watching Elizabeth! You're a sweet heart
Me to on the real butter!!
Agree!! Love the sink caddy
We love the deal guy. For deals. The can strainer is sold at the dollar store for a dollar. Or 1.25 this year not 8.99.
Whatttt!!! I’ve never seen it there!
I’ll have to look. I’m planning a trip soon.
I always clean the top of the can before I open it.
So I just use it for a strainer.
I push down on the lid in the middle after it's opened and push down on one side and it pops up on the other side to remove the lid.
Thanks! I was hoping there was a cheaper alternative for this cool silicone gadget.
The one at dollar tree is hard plastic not silicone but works fine.
I have a Butter Bell. Keeps butter soft and sanitary. Life changing!
That bag dispenser is EVERYTHING, I've had it for months
I love the stainless steel caddy! Definitely going to get this! Thanks for the great video as usual Matt! Always look forward to them. Have a great day
Hey Matt! Thank you again for great deals. The cup with the built in straw is great for the environment too besides looking for a straw and it’s already attached! You rock! Keep up the great work!
Love the snack tongs! My husband rolls his eyes when I use chopsticks to eat cheetos, but apparently, others have similar food issues
This also allows you to type on computer while snacking but not getting on your fingers
I rubbed my eyelids after eating some cheap doritos once and my eyeball swelled up. You really shouldn't touch hot peppers either.
Remove the sauce from canned beans if wanting to reduce sodium levels
I must say the snack chopsticks demo was my favorite part! Thanks for another fun video!
Oh, and my butter is out in a heavy crystal butter keeper. Just soft enough to spread.
Glad you liked watching it as much as I enjoyed filming it
The Dollar Tree has those can strainers. It also has a "dip" in it for smaller size cans. You can also turn it around and push the strainer INTO the can, great for things like draining tuna!
That's mainly what I have used mine for. If you used the tuna can lid, they always seem to bend etc. W the strainer, it's much easier!
The veggie/fruit holder is excellent for someone who is visually impaired. It acts as a guide for the knife which is great!
I’ve had the can liquid strainer for years but I never remember to use it! I just use the can lid itself to strain out the liquid.
I have a butter crock I put my butter in. It inverts into a slightly larger crock with water in bottom. Leave it on counter for soft butter. Love it!!
Happy new year friend, how are you doing today. It’s my pleasure to have you here and to talk with hope you don’t mind?
I have a stick of butter that sits out on the counter because real butter gets used in my house quite often!!
The can colander is wonderful. I bought them in bulk from ebay a few years ago to give as stocking stuffer gifts for family and co-workers. Everyone liked them!
The amazing thing is that you share items that are actually helpful and beneficial. Super nifty, too!
Wow!! Loved most of the items! But don't think I could ever spend $300 on a toaster!!
If it wasn't the only thing my wife wanted for Christmas last year, trust me, I wouldn't have either 😂
I love AMAZON! My husband is not so happy about how much I love Amazon 😂
😂😂😂
So many cool items in this video! I'm going to grab a few of these. That can colander ~ that is indeed a game changer. Thanks!! Also, that food hugger will come in handy. Although that means I will no longer have an excuse to eat an entire block of cheese in at sitting...
😂😂😂 Glad I showed some things you liked
The snack tweezers were the funniest!! Thank you for the laughs!!
One of my favorite finds is a K-cup manual coffee maker. You only need hot water, pop the cup in, and plunge. $20 Great for camping if you have a camp stove to boil the water.
Hi Matt! I keep my butter in a Butter Bell on my counter. It keeps it fresh and soft enough to spread! Great video!
typoons91, we keep one of those in our camper. Convenient when you're boon docking or don't have access to electric for other reasons! :)
Hahaha I love the STS!!! Very funny! Thanks so much for watching. Very excited to share February's Costco video!
I bought that exact can colander at Walmart for $2.
Breaking an egg on that sliver of plastic risks getting bits of eggshell in the bowl. Break eggs on a solid surface, such as the side of the bowl.
Added those food huggers to my list! I’ve had several of those food choppers/blitz hackers over the years, they are efficient and easy to clean and not another think I have to plug in. Thanks as always for your reviews
Happy new year friend, how are you doing today. It’s my pleasure to have you here and to talk with hope you don’t mind?
Great video Matt and fantastic Amazon finds. I do have the pasta gauge, the chopper and the can colander that I purchased years ago from Pampered Chef. Unfortunately, I paid way too much back then but they are good and durable. As for the butter the answer is yes. I keep one stick on the counter and the rest in the fridge or freezer when I buy in bulk at Costco.
