I'm a flight attendant, and I approve of all these tips 😄🤗🙌🌟 Especially the using the restroom before getting on the plane. It seems like so many folks wait until they are on the plane to use the restroom. I will suggest you do not use Bluetooth earbuds on the plane. Bring them, but don't take them out on the plane. People lose them all the time on the plane. I will always suggest bringing a big over the ears set.
Great tips, Michel! I have one I’d like to add regarding car rental. It is always a good idea to take a video of the car you are renting prior to driving it. Document any damage, even if it’s just small little dings. It is always better to be safe than sorry! This is coming from someone who worked at Hertz for many years! I hope Jordy is still being spoiling you & you’re feeling better & better every day ❤
I'm new to your channel and must say I AM ADDICTED to your content. You are so inspiring, so sweet, like a ray of sunshine. Please, please, keep making videos for us. AND get better soon 😚🥰
Tip for travel where shopping is anticipated, so you want to bring a large suitcase, but don't need to bring enough stuff to fill it: get a large inflatable pool ring, inflate it enough to fill half the suitcase (or more of necessary) and your stuff is held in place in the suitcase during travel. After you've gone shopping crazy at your destination, you just deflate the ring and you have all the space you need in the suitcase 👌🛍️💪
If you do get a physical ticket you can stick the bag tag to the back of it to keep it all together. Also this is especially for a long haul flight, have a smaller pouch in your carry on that can fit in the seat pocket and put all the things like earplugs, eye mask, tablet, phone etc. All the things that your going to use a lot during the flight and don't want to get up and down to get out of your bag. Having it in a smaller pouch also means its easier to keep track of everything when your about to get off the plane.
Tip I got from my Oma, post back any souvenirs or purchases. I love doing this. It’s a nice surprise when you get home.just pop to a local post office. Shipping back is so much cheaper than paying excess baggage.
Another tip… Don’t just take a picture of your ID, also email it to yourself. Together with any other info that could be important. If you loose everything, you can always hop on a computer anywhere and have it with you, or print! Double security 😊 And… I have the same EarPods problem, never thought to get two different ones. Perfect tip, tank you 🥰
Girl, I am definitely not a super sensitive person but THE HEADPHONES SHAPE 😱 it's the first time I hear someone mentioning it as a travel tips and yet I know several people in real life who have the same issue! I personally last longer than a couple of hours, but I'd still bring different headphones when I am traveling. And if I push myself to wear the same headphones too long, I get to a point where the inside of my ears is so sore I cannot wear any headphones at all. Very underrated tip 😂❤❤❤
I loooove watching travel tips videos before a trip because it just makes me more excited, and this one just made it onto my list! Thank you, Michel! Sending healing prayers your way. ♥
I like having the printed ticket as well cause I like having a backup. My husband thinks I’m crazy 😂 But I like not worrying about it. Better safe than sorry! And TSA Precheck was a game changer for me. Especially since I have anxiety. So much easier & the TSA agents are so much nicer 😂
Really good tips!! I don’t travel often so I’m not that wise, so I look forward to using these tips and tricks next time I do! Also, I completely agree about the earbud pain! While cleaning I will use my usually comfy earbuds and then after a couple hours they hurt so badly I just have to take them out and continue in silence 😑
I'm so glad other folks relate. I can't do earbuds for a long stretch of time because my ears will hurt, however, my husband lives for them. I might need to invest in a good headset for plane rides lol.
Can confirm, great tips! I used to travel full time for work (southwest A list woo) and these are some good, in depth tips. One thing to note is some airports have caught onto the dropping off at arrivals hack and they will yell at you if you try it, and there will usually be signs saying no drop offs on the arrivals level at those airports.
All great tips! I live in Hawaii but travel back to the mainland multiple times a year to visit family and these are pretty much all tips that I implement. I also have a 2 year old that always comes with me, (which is a whole other ballgame on long flights) but I’m a firm believer that kids are more adaptable than we think and they really don’t need much “stuff” to fly either!
I’m super sensitive to ear buds, and noises as well, so it’s not good that they’re so uncomfortable. I typically can’t make it for two hours with them in, I am constantly changing the position and pulling them out to rest the ears. I thought I was the only one that had this issue. Great tips. Sent to my daughter.
We have a luggage scale, they're not very expensive, and they save you a ton When I used to travel alot, I put all my shoes in my carryon/duffel bag I bring a travel blanket, a pair of socks and a cardigan, it's always so cold on the plane I also have to bring nasal spray because the air makes my nose so dry if you have an overnight flight bring earplugs!
I use solid shampoo and conditioner bar, balm makeup remover, balm foundation, stick makeup. Almost nothing I carry on has liquid as to make for easier flying.
..body wipes, body wipes..!..we do family travel several times a year.. grandkids..past the mom-carrying diaper-wipes-age..essential!.. essential for countless things..love, Grandmar!✨🥰
Great tips! I’m with Jordy on the reusable bottle to avoid the airport price markups and the microplastics from the single-use bottles. I recently found a collapsible water bottle that has a strong cap that won’t squirt water in the air when it’s under pressure. I’ve had that happen with my Camel Baks. I felt so bad for my neighbors! 😅 I also recommend having sunscreen in your carryon you can easily reapply in addition to wearing layers like Michel suggested. If you can, wear clothes that come with sun protection built in to the fabric. It will help protect you from the much stronger UV rays at cruising altitude. 🌞
Hey michel! I just wanted to say that you are such an inspiration to me and I love watching your content! I love how your parents care for you after your surgery! It’s so sweet to see and I love mama Janse! She’s so amazing and I love her! Anyway your content is so inspiring and I’m glad you’re feeling better! Ilysm and I hope you have an amazing day/ week 💕💕
Hi, Michel and Happy Monday!😊😊😊😊😊😎☀💙💙💙💙💙💙🌷💖💖💖💖💖💖🎇👍. I'm so happy that you're okay when the nose surgery was normal (thank heavens🙏). How is it feel? Let me know.😊😢🌷. And I love your pigtails. It's beautiful!😍😍😍😍😍
13:17 I can’t handle in ear headphones, they either hurt or make my ears itchy. I’ve switched over to bone conducting headphones and I’ve never looked back! Firstly they keep my ears open so I can stay aware of my surroundings and second I love the sound quality! Only con for me is if what I’m listening to is too loud, others around me might hear murmurs of what I’m listening to.
I live the rental setup where you walk out and pick your car.. but I'm not sure it's at every location. 🤔 I love it though. We usually do pickups at an airport but we went to a smaller airport on a recent trip and they assigned us a vehicle. After telling us what they had. I'm glad I knew which cars were which but I can see it being difficult for people who don't know a small car vs big car by name. Great tips though!
Loved the jacket you showed using on the plane. Did you list it and I missed you linking it. Name? Also, as usual love your tips and all of your videos!! I hope you have a quick recovery!
Hello Michel! I hope you're feeling better every day. As always, love the vlog/tips and wow... is it the shape that bothers my ears after while? I never tried to figure it out so thanks for that. Take care
Omg my ears get sore from earbuds too!!! 😂 after a couple hours I can’t stand to have them in any more! I have really small ears so I always figured the buds are too big for me hahahah
Hi Michel. Hope you are on the mend! I wanted to chime in and say I have the same earphone problem! God made my ears tiny like a child. I pack 3 sets of ears with me every time I fly. My ear buds, a connected child’s set and my over ears set. I found this set of “child” set at Best Buy years ago and I love them best ❤ Get well soon, we love you!!
First, I just found your channel, I saw your seed advertisement on IG and I got curious , saw you are battling with lupus (which so am I) and I was like, I need to follow my fellow lupus warrior. And I am obsessed with your channel now. ❤… this video was very helpful, especially the part about the Dramamine. I have Emetophobia so it would not be a good day for me if that would happen. I’ll make sure to carry it xtra from now on.

Some great tips in there I need to travel more in the UK we tend to drive everywhere because the cost of flight airport parking one end and car hire the other makes it pretty expensive to go via plane. Great tips👍I travel frequently and still found so many of your suggestions new and helpful! What brand is your roller bag/suitcase, and do you like it?
LOL your tip about making sure you leave room for souvenirs etc so you don’t have to buy a new suitcase reminds me of a trip I went on with my fam a few years ago to Europe 😂 We saw a few countries but the only souvenir my youngest brother ever expressed interest in was this huge wooden sword he found at a museum gift shop in Sweden. I thought it was ridiculous and way too big and would definitely not fit in the suitcase, but my family argued against me and my brother bought the sword. Of course we soon realized it was much too big for our already giant suitcases and spent the rest of our trip searching for a bag that this silly sword would fit in. We couldn’t find one until we were at an overpriced sporting goods store at the airport on the day we left… $250 later…. 🤣🤣🤣
I'm so confused 😕 do other people not get weird ear pain from their earpods and have to switch through out the day 🤷♀️ you said it like it was weird 😂 great travel tips michel and actually a super cute little behind the scenes turn of events which I found added to the charm of whst could've been just a stuffy travel video 😅❤😘
How about when you have a travel trips a day ahead or after? You pre-charge your 📱 or other electronic items at 🏠 overnight when your getting ready to go to sleep, that way when you wake up your electronics is already charged?
Wait most of these are just common sense?! Like weighing your suitcase - of course! Kind of sad how it was so focused on traveling by plane, so for your carbon footprint. I know there aren't many trains in the US, but honestly, traveling by (night) train is the superior form!
I'm a flight attendant, and I approve of all these tips 😄🤗🙌🌟 Especially the using the restroom before getting on the plane. It seems like so many folks wait until they are on the plane to use the restroom.

Girl, same with the earbuds!
I relate HARD to the earbud pain
It’s such a REAL pain!!! 🤣🤍 we’re in this together Susan!
I use solid shampoo and conditioner bar, balm makeup remover, balm foundation, stick makeup. Almost nothing I carry on has liquid as to make for easier flying.

Yet another reason to keep any medications with you and not in carry-on/checked luggage: the baggage area of a plane is not climate controlled! So if your medication is supposed to be stored at room temp, there is no guarantee that it wont be too hot or cold in your luggage. Probably not a major concern on a short flight but definitely one more reason to just keep it in the personal item.
Okkkkkk I have this problem with ear buds and never thought of switching back and forth! I guess I need to pairs lol. I was thinking I should just get head phones but they’re so bulky and obvious haha
Flying to Austin in 2 days so this video was perfect timing! Thanks for the tips!

Great tips👍I travel frequently and still found so many of your suggestions new and helpful! What brand is your roller bag/suitcase, and do you like it?

Woah I didn’t know about Hertz gold! I’ve literally waited in a line for over 2 hours for a rental car!
It is a GAME CHANGER!! 🎉🎉
I thought I was the only one who gets ear pain from ear-buds. I've tried over 10 different kinds and still not able to find a pair that doesn't hurt.
Great tips although…. I don’t think I’d never take a pill from a stranger on a plane! 😬
I think you had a code before the earbuds do you still?
I love your hair today. You're adorable.
🥹🫶🏼Thank you so much Courtney!!
Which size backpack do you have?
Why Southwest exclusively?
I'm so confused 😕 do other people not get weird ear pain from their earpods and have to switch through out the day 🤷♀️ you said it like it was weird 😂 great travel tips michel and actually a super cute little behind the scenes turn of events which I found added to the charm of whst could've been just a stuffy travel video 😅❤😘

How about when you have a travel trips a day ahead or after? You pre-charge your 📱 or other electronic items at 🏠 overnight when your getting ready to go to sleep, that way when you wake up your electronics is already charged?
Yes I definitely do this. Sometimes it’ll lose its charge, so I will charge it at the airport that way I have a full charge for the flight!! 🤍🫶🏼
