I came here to say this exactly! The mix is great. I think it’s totally ‘real life’ that sometimes we all do ‘surface level’ things and that is ok and needed sometimes. Your ‘surface level’ food recommendations on some of your travels really made my trip to the US as a severely gluten intolerant person a more enjoyable thing. Never underestimate how much the less deep content can help someone.
You shouldn't feel like you've failed when you do the "easier" content. If you think of your relationship with your audience as a friendship, it makes sense that not every interaction is super deep and meaningful. Sometimes we're talking about life and hard things, sometimes we're doing hauls or bonding over how hard it is to be a human in a body. We're here for all of it.
I'm one of those that really just wants to watch someone really kind that makes their bed (and knows how to organize, and decorate, and dresses funky cool chic, and does simple, healthy makeup and food, etc. etc.) We'll watch you do 'surface level' stuff as much as you need to do that. Only go 'deep' if you feel like it! XO

I personally love the mix of what you share online, because Jordy is absolutely right. I like to call it "cotton candy for your brain" type content, but I love the hauls and the clothing try ons, making your bed, or a video where you're decorating your apartment, because sometimes we just want to enjoy something simple and sweet, but the emotions, the vulnerability and the honest are always welcome when you feel like sharing it. Not every video has to be deep, meaningful, or groundbreaking, because that is SO hard to maintain three times a week, or even just once a week. The simple, silly, and the mundane are great too because that's all part of life. We have peaks and valleys, and mostly, the time in-between those extremes. I always look forward to your videos, regardless of the topic. You're doing great, and thanks for taking us along for the ride 🧡

I love all of the different types of content you make, Michel. Most of us use UA-cam as a distractive outlet to get away from our daily struggles. No matter what you post or how “surface level” some piece of content may be, we will watch them all the same and love being alongside you through this time in your life. You truly become apart of a UA-camrs friends and family through their content. As your friend and viewer I want you to know that it is okay to have rough days, where life just feels so challenging. Something I have learned that has been so helpful in life is the idea of having “both.” For so long, I thought I had a “this or that” mentality. And I still struggle with that, but the difference is, I remind myself that I can be grateful and still be anxious. I can be happy yet still feel some sadness. I can feel overwhelmed and also feel like I have nothing to give. And Michel, you can have both too. You can have the surface level and the depth. Both things can exist, both things can live on your channel. Because you’re human. And you’re doing the best you can. ❤️

Your content is lovely. It feels like “talking” to a friend. No need to always go deep. Sharing your health struggles and yet seeing you do so many things is very encouraging. Seeing you in a happy relationship after such an abusive one is encouraging, too. I am actually invested in your journey even though I only know you through videos. Truthfully, I get anxious when you are sick. And I worry about your heart being broken again (no real reason). Probably, because I am older and have experienced sad times. I don’t want such a sweet soul to be any thing but happy.

I love watching because I work from home and am pretty isolated. Watching someone going about their day helps my day-to-day loneliness. I love vloggers who just do causal things like target shopping, laundry, cooking, shopping, etc. 😊 I loved the glow up video by the way!
I think that the people who follow you respect much what you do and connect with you because your honesty shines through. We are humans, and emotions are a part of us. Hiding them or just faking them will eventually hurt us. "Thank You" for your honest chat, feeling anxious & not well really sucks in life with autoimmune or without too I would guess. I really enjoyed seeing the Duke Gardens. When I was young my father had a lung disease & spent weeks in Duke several times a year. My mother would take us to see the gardens to help us all relax a little & unwind from all the stress of having a parent that was never well. I really enjoy your videos, Jordy is so sweet, kind & understanding. I have a daughter that is 30, she just got out of a very abuse relationship, my hopes are that she finds someone that kind too. ❣
It is really honorable and shows how great you are at your job that you actually think about bringing value to your viewers. In my opinion, that is really great and necessary o succeed long term. At the same time I don't think value always means the same and definitely not only sharing feelings and talking about something deep and vulnerable. Sometimes it brings value to be distracted, see something beautiful, consume something calming etc.
I'm always a silent (and loving!!) viewer of yours but I feel compelled to share... My husband and I moved to Durham almost 2 years ago from Colorado and it was a really, really hard life change for me - leaving my family, friends, and everything I had ever known. Some is light, some is deep, some is emotional, some is silly, but all of those things can encompass depth and realness and life if it’s coming from a place of authenticity. A part of your real life is wanting to do fun little things sometimes (cause let’s face it we all want to do that sometimes!) and that doesn’t have to mean surface level…because it’s authentic and brings you joy! Another beautiful thing about emotions is that they can exist at the same time. joy and grief, light and depth. It’s ok to lean into light and airy sometimes too! we love to see that side of you! And you’re wonderful at you’re job and it’s so obvious the thought and intention you put into ALL of your content.

I’ve been watching you since the beginning girl and I actually LOVED the videos that were more silly lighthearted and surface level. Not everything NEEDS to be a thing or be shared. There’s a lot of emotions out in the world right now and sometimes maybe too many people being vulnerable and sharing. We all can’t take on that many feelings all the time so 100% take breaks and be so much more gentle with yourself :)
As someone who has been blogging for 12 years, I can relate to the struggle with content that is authentic and vulnerable vs surface level or “fluff.” I believe it helps to think of content creation like any relationship. Sometimes you have deep, heartfelt conversations, and sometimes you go get your nails done. It’s a balance. So give yourself an abundance of grace. Trust your instincts, that still voice inside to guide you.

I personally love the mix of what you share online, because Jordy is absolutely right. I like to call it "cotton candy for your brain" type content, but I love the hauls and the clothing try ons, making your bed, or a video where you're decorating your apartment, because sometimes we just want to enjoy something simple and sweet, but the emotions, the vulnerability and the honest are always welcome when you feel like sharing it. Not every video has to be deep, meaningful, or groundbreaking, because that is SO hard to maintain three times a week, or even just once a week. The simple, silly, and the mundane are great too because that's all part of life. We have peaks and valleys, and mostly, the time in-between those extremes. I love all of the different types of content you make, Michel. Most of us use UA-cam as a distractive outlet to get away from our daily struggles. No matter what you post or how “surface level” some piece of content may be, we will watch them all the same and love being alongside you through this time in your life. You truly become apart of a UA-camrs friends and family through their content. As your friend and viewer I want you to know that it is okay to have rough days, where life just feels so challenging. Not everyone can feel 100% 24/7 even if you’re in charge of what gets posted.

Something I have learned that has been so helpful in life is the idea of having “both.” For so long, I thought I had a “this or that” mentality. And I still struggle with that, but the difference is, I remind myself that I can be grateful and still be anxious. I can be happy yet still feel some sadness. I can feel overwhelmed and also feel like I have nothing to give. And Michel, you can have both too. You can have the surface level and the depth. Both things can exist, both things can live on your channel. Because you’re human. And you’re doing the best you can. ❤️

Truthfully, I get anxious when you are sick. And I worry about your heart being broken again (no real reason). Probably, because I am older and have experienced sad times. "Thank You" for your honest chat, feeling anxious & not well really sucks in life with autoimmune or without too I would guess. I really enjoyed seeing the Duke Gardens. When I was young my father had a lung disease & spent weeks in Duke several times a year. My mother would take us to see the gardens to help us all relax a little & unwind from all the stress of having a parent that was never well. I really enjoy your videos, Jordy is so sweet, kind & understanding. I have a daughter that is 30, she just got out of a very abuse relationship, my hopes are that she finds someone that kind too. ❣
It is really honorable and shows how great you are at your job that you actually think about bringing value to your viewers. In my opinion, that is really great and necessary o succeed long term. At the same time I don't think value always means the same and definitely not only sharing feelings and talking about something deep and vulnerable. Sometimes it brings value to be distracted, see something beautiful, consume something calming etc.

My husband and I moved to Durham almost 2 years ago from Colorado and it was a really, really hard life change for me - leaving my family, friends, and everything I had ever known. Some is light, some is deep, some is emotional, some is silly, but all of those things can encompass depth and realness and life if it’s coming from a place of authenticity. A part of your real life is wanting to do fun little things sometimes (cause let’s face it we all want to do that sometimes!) and that doesn’t have to mean surface level…because it’s authentic and brings you joy! I’ve been watching you since the beginning girl and I actually LOVED the videos that were more silly lighthearted and surface level. Not everything NEEDS to be a thing or be shared. There’s a lot of emotions out in the world right now and sometimes maybe too many people being vulnerable and sharing. We all can’t take on that many feelings all the time so 100% take breaks and be so much more gentle with yourself :)

As someone who has been blogging for 12 years, I can relate to the struggle with content that is authentic and vulnerable vs surface level or “fluff.”
I believe it helps to think of content creation like any relationship. Sometimes you have deep, heartfelt conversations, and sometimes you go get your nails done. It’s a balance.
So give yourself an abundance of grace. Trust your instincts, that still voice inside to guide you.
