    Excellent content bro.......
    It’s horrifying seeing and knowing the habitat for the creatures of Madagascar is almost completely destroyed by human population and development....
    Sure would love to see the entire Iskand of Madagascar a wildlife preserve void of any humans aside from caretakers of this preserve....
    I have had the pleasure of keeping and breeding many euro plat.
    species in captivity over my 50 years of life.....
    Crazy how the locals cut down trees solely for charcoal when natural gas is available......
    Fuckin hunans are selfish and wasteful......
    Please everyone get our 💩 together.....
    We aren’t the only animals on planet earth....
    We are part of an amazing ecosystem on earth...

    I keep the inside of my house at 70°F year round. Would it be safe to not use a heat source? Since they need high humidity. Is a fogger ideal? Everything inside of the enclosure should be covered in a layer of moss? Would a mesh or screen enclosure be a good choice? Thinking something along the lines of a chameleon.

    Rather rude of that one gecko to give its opinion on filming like that...seems a frequent habit of reptiles to answer the call of nature in the middle of a shoot.

    One thing I hate about American reptile keepers they only talk about what the trend is. Europeans seem the only place that talk and have a lot of rare and unique reptiles. There are so many different kind so Uros. Yet they only talk about this specific. I'm going to dislike this video. At first i was excited when he mentioned Uroplatus. After seeing it it was very disappointed.

    It's amazing to see these little creatures in the wild. And frankly, that's where they should stay. I think Dav does a good job educating people about them but I really hope they don't "become popular" in the industry because that just means that the species will become more and more threatened. Poaching animals to sell as pets is one of the biggest threats to most animals (along with deforestation and killing for "traditional medicine.")

    • @davkaufmansreptileadventures
      @davkaufmansreptileadventures  Рік тому +1

      I agree with you on some points but we aren't poachers and there is becoming less and less habitat for them to live in the wild, so captive breeding initiatives will eventually be the only thing that saves them from extinction.

    • @Fledermausmann
      @Fledermausmann Рік тому

      @@davkaufmansreptileadventures Hi Dav, thanks for replying. I fully agree with you on the importance of captive breeding initiatives. Sadly, habitat destruction is the foremost threat to wildlife. I do however think that captive breeding initiatives should only be run by qualified and skilled professionals, not every Tom, Dick and Harry who goes to a pet shop and gets something on a whim. Thank you again for your kind reply.
