I haven't even played EarthBound and I can feel the nostalgia oozing out of this. The sprite and the background both bring so much more to the music. It reminds me SO MUCH of the original Plants vs Zombies! Amazing.
I would absolutely love an Earthbound universe adventure with Kris, Susie and Ralsei, like they get transported to another dimension and have to find their way back
Lol! I do feel like this would be more fit for Section 2 if Lightclear was never used and the Delta Warriors had to fight in the original Earthbound UI System!
I love how Earthbound music is so much more calmer. Other RPGs, have tense music, which is unfitting, because it's not a tense fight, it's a strategic challenge.
I really like this because it sounds like an actual track. One thing I think that other earthbound fan tracks are missing is that earthbound music is generally weird and low-key, so just changing the sound font doesn’t work. If you know what I mean.

This is great cuz I always found earthbound music so jarring but I wanted to enjoy their chill and weirdness, This adds the perfect level of smoothness without ruining the bizarre earthbound feel!
I'd like to imagine that Ralsei uses PK Lifeup, tyat actually restores health, and Susie uses PK Heal, which cures illness but restores little to no health.
Now this is by all means the best Earthbound style Rude Buster I've ever heard, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the best one ever made. But man, rude buster just cannot ever work with the earthbound style, earthbound is so random, so empty of substance or rhythm or beat or literally anything that makes music good, and rude buster is an actual piece of music. It's like the effort of changing a 3D object into 1D, it's so utterly pointless and impossible. Now that's not to say earthbound music is bad per say, I still find myself Jammin' to 'Agile Opponent' or 'Sanctuary Gaurdian', but there's just nothing in comparing the way I appreciate those tracks to any other piece of music on this Earth.

I think this isn't exactly the Earthbound soundfont. I can hear the Mother 3 and Pokémon gen 3 French Horn and also the Mother 3 Organ. Maybe the Mother 3 Organ was in Earthbound (I haven't played it, only heard some of its OST so i'm not sure) but i don't think that French Horn was in the game, unless i'm mistaken

This is really good! x1.25 sound more like the original, but the normal speed has its own vibe too that I like.
If you set it to x1.1 it sounds a lot more accurate to the original!
Slower makes sense to me here, matches Earthbound's tempo better, it tends to have slower songs.
Either version sounds fine though.
