I agree so much with “changing your rating over time” cause there are books I have given 5 stars where I almost forgot they even existed and wouldn’t reread it…
YEAH! like I thought I loved this so much but I couldn’t be forced to reread it now
I’m definitely on the wrong side of book tube. Realized that as soon as verity and November 9 was placed at the top and heartstopper was put in won’t read.
there's no wrong side of booktube, ur making it sound like only ur taste in books is better than sara's
@@captainicecookie1665 on the wrong side as in the side I don’t usually agree with. I never said either side was invalid.
I don't get the whole craze behind Verity. It's good but it had so much more potential to be better. Probably mid at best. The twist isn't reallly good. You can find better twists in Freida Mcfaddens Books. The Housemaid was very similar to it but was 10 times better
i think i’m on the wrong side of booktube… i really like the way you talk and respect your opinions very much but oh my goodness i think we have completely different taste!
yeah same how are you gonna love ms colleen and wanna read a little life, but won't read heartstopper?
can someone recommend booktubers with the opposite taste of this video here?
the midnight library changed my life, it shows you how to appreciate life and makes you realize that you have to make the best out of everything, so good and not hard to get through!
@@lmn0005 the whole book is basically about TW ⚠️⚠️her killing herself, ( that’s not a spoiler btw ) I would say there really is nothing else bad in the book, she is searching for the life she wants in the midnight library, so if you can handle her overdosing then you could read the book. It’s really really good. 🤗
it really reminded me of an alan watts quote! (might make some mistakes here) “let’s suppose every night you were able to dream any dream you wanted to dream and that you could for example have the power within one night to dream 75 years of time. and as you began on this adventure of dreams you would fulfil all your wishes, you would have every kind of pleasure that you could conceive, and naturally you would make further and further out-gambles as to what you would dream and finally you would dream of where you are now, and that would be within the infinite multiplicity of choices you would have of playing that you weren’t god”. i really enjoyed it too, i think it was fantastically written and had the elements of philosophy and existentialism, as well as offering hope and optimism despite the atmosphere of suffering and melancholy
i loved the inheritance games i’m surprised it’s still on your tbr! its kinda what got me back into reading. it’s so good!
The cruel prince series was incredible! Was definitely confusing to get into at first but was so worth the read, I’m obsessed!
YES TO CHANGING YOUR RANKING! I went back recently & changed some on goodreads. I loved this! Tier ranking videos are some of my favorites!
Ive never met someone with such similar taste. She doesn’t shy away from saying bad things about hyped up books! I love that! Not every booktok rec is good.
the invisible life of addie larue is slow at first but the writing is so gorgeous i loved it and it made me cry
Omg can you vlog reading the Inheritance Games. It would be so fun to see your reactions, the book has so many plot twist and turns!!
My Dark Vanessa is one of my
favorite books I’ve ever read but it’s HEAVY. I tried recommending to my friends and I think I scarred them so it’s def not for everyone
I'm reading The Midnight Library and contrary to others, I'm really enjoying it! I think it just depends on what you like.
The inheritance games is literally one of my favorite books you definitely need to read it it’s got mystery and a little bit of romance
You’ve literally become my FAVORITE UA-camr! I get so excited to see that you upload and you’ve given the best book recs! Love ya girl!! 🤍📚
If you didn’t like From Lukov with Love, I don’t see you liking Kulti. I’ve read 5 of MZ’s books and even though they’re all slow burn, I feel like Kulti is the slowest that I’ve read personally.
sara you NEED to read where the crawdads sing! the synopsis does not do the story justice trust me, it's not your usual romance and it takes a few chapters to get into but it's literally my favourite book ever
Whattt!! Am I the only one who absolutely LOVED They Both Die at the End?? This was such a well written book in my opinion
omg ANOTHER SARA VID THIS WEEEKKKK. ur my favorite UA-camr and got me back into reading ❤️🔥❤️🔥
So glad this video has come up ! Can’t wait to watch it 💘 ily and your videos Sara !
i finished love and other words like a day ago and i completely understand your love towards that book. it is so good and i absolutely fell in love with it, like i want to reread it. i literally thought about you when i picked it up!
bunny is probably one of the best books i’ve ever read. absolutely amazing mix of light and dark academia. highly recommend.
better than the movies is literally the cutest ever omg🥰 whenever you're in the mood for a cute y/a read, def pick that one up
Bunny is AMAZING, one of the best book I've read recently! I guess it could be described as a dark academia thriller but I actually have never read anything quite like it! the plot twist at the end was completely unexpected, the whole book itself was so intriguing! if you feel like you could appreciate the genre then I would more than definitely recommend!
Love this video and hearing all your opinions on these books!!
Been obsessed with your vidoes ever since I found your channel! Keep up the good work!
Where the crawdads sing is so good!!! You should definitely read it!
My dark Vanessa was amazing!!! Yes it was kinda uncomfortable to read at times but it was written so well so educational but definitely a hard read so I get why some people don’t want to read it.
omg noooo! after a huge reading slump i read midnight library and it instantly reignited my love for reading. it was so quick and was such a good read for me. love it
red white and royal blue - you have to read it (please do a reading vlog!!)
when i first read it i really liked it, but after reading it a second time it literally became one of my comfort books
please please please do more of these your book reviews are always so captivating!
So interesting to see how you categorize your reading, Sara. 🙂
You’re literally my fav book tuber of all time! ❤️
red, white and royal blue is an amazing book 5⭐️. more on the romance genre and the royal is more about the characters placement in their life than history of the royal family.
Omg I totally feel you with all your perfects!! Glad I am not the only one thinking that
I loved this concept! Please do more tier ratings :)
Omg this video was sooooo good!!!! I hope u make moreeee
You NEED to read My Dark Vanessa it is in my top two books for what I’ve read this year. It’s definitely not fluff and very emotional but I’ve never felt so attached to a character and what she was going through. It’s heartbreaking and beautiful and everyone should read it is so good.
yes i love tier ranking!!
I thought I was gonna completely hate Daisy Jones and I put off reading it for sooo long but it was one of my favorites!! Try it out
I hated it so much haha TJR is one of my favorite authors so I can't believe the worst book I've read this year is hers :(
@@lex3025 mainly the characters. I thought the writing style was creative. Daisy is a Mary sue, great at music even though she's stoned all day and has no education or training whatsoever. Billy being a complete asshole to Camila and her being "well you are stuck with me because I'm the love of your life" ??? I liked that she forced him to be better but at the same time their relationship just seemed sad to me. Plus him and Daisy "falling in love" makes absolutely no sense. I also felt that the relationship between the brothers was underdeveloped, I expected way more resolution. And I love how one of their friends DIES at the beginning and they're like "well anyway he died moving on". The only character I liked was Camila and still i disagree with her choices so much. Daisy was so annoying, the rest of them were meh.
Btw sorry if I don't write the names of most of the characters, I read this a while ago and already forgot 'em.
Thank you so so so so much Sara for motivating me and I really really really love your so so so so so much and I will support you till end😭🥺♥️
loved this!!!
I feel the same way you do about The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo. I almost didn't want to read Daisy Jones and the six afterwards, but I really enjoyed it. It wasn't a 5 star read, but I would actually read it again, I've heard the audiobook was great, so maybe I would listen to it.
Yes to the tier ranking vids!
red, white and royal blue got me into reading! Its definetely worth itttt
I would definitely recommend Red White and Royal Blue!!! I finished it in a day and a half. It was a light and fun romance. The royalty didn’t seem too over done. I really liked it.
YAYYYY MORE BOOK VIDEOS!!
Yes! You totally need to read red white & royal blue: it’s hilariously written, the characters are great, the plot is good, the politics/royalty aspect isn’t hard to understand and it’s literally my favourite book of all time :))
I love your videos and your personality 💜
i 100% recommend the inheritance game series and folk of the air (cruel prince)!!! these are some of my fave series and i haven't felt the way i did when i read these books in so long and i just love the characters so much, the romance, and the plots overall, i hope you get to them and that u enjoy them!
Two books I HIGHLY recommend for you if you haven’t read them yet. Rock, Paper, Scissors by Alice Feeney and The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren. I am SO OBSESSED with both!!
YESSSS SARA I LOVEDDDD NOV 9 it was soooo good the plot twist????
your channel is thriving! so so close to 100k! so proud of you & your accomplishments
Your voice is soooooo calming 😍😍😍
Verity is probably one of my favorite books. I can talk about it for hours and recommend it to everyone. I think she should do more thriller books cause I liked verity so much more than any of her other books
I feel the exact same about A Thousand Boy Kisses. I sobbed so hard reading that book!
I finished the entire ACOTAR series in two weeks. I’d definitely say hold off if you don’t want to get too into a series because it will GRIP YOU. I’d definitely sell my soul to experience reading that for the first time again
idk why but according to the books she likes i think sara would love The Inheritance Games and The Made serie
Okay hear me out. I am not a fantasy girlie but can’t stop thinking about ACOTAR and ACOMAF since I read them. I still have to finish the series but STILL. I was so intimidated to commit to a series but I read some Colleen Hoover in between the two of them (I’m sorry but Layla was surprisingly so good to me?!) and I feel like that’s the way to go! You need a little break in between each book in the series so you should start it!
Also, Daisy Jones & the Six was such a surprising read for me. I hated The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo but loved this and it’s such a short read! Atlas Six has good dark academia vibes too and I think about it still!
YES PLS MORE OF THIS
the inheritance games is one of my top series's i've read after six of crows so i highly recommend, maybe read it when the final book comes out in august! its super fast paced and interesting imo
totally agree about Emily Henry’s writing. I read beach read and people we meet on vacation this year and I wanted so badly to love both of them and they just really didn’t do it for me I felt them to be really underwhelming. the story always starts off strong and then falls flat somewhere along the way.
You should do a video on your Goodreads ratings.. like if u still stand by some ratings or would now rate them less/more ?
I enjoy tier-ranking videos. I hope you do the others.
Yayy! a new videoo!!!
Loved this video🤍🤍
we need moreee
the thing about a little life is that it is one of the best books I have ever read but it is so sad and so disturbing at times that I had to stop reading it and take like a week break until I could pick it up again. Like it took me five months to read….but it’s also one of my favorite books ??
Id love to see you read the cruel prince series!!!! I loved it!!
The midnight library is sooo good. At least for a 12 yo. I loved it. One of my rare 5.0 stars
omg you should read red, white, & royal blue! one of my all time favs!
I highly recommend To Love Jason Thorn. It wasn't really rom com and wasn't predictable, at least not to me. It had actually many tropes like brother's best friend, childhood friends to lovers, fake dating/marriage of convenience and the smut was great.
They both die at the end is one of my favourite books it’s so good honestly
Great video sara 👍
I love reading with all my heart, but I also feel really happy while watching booktub vids.
It feels like a safety place as much as books are to me🤍
I love your videos
i cannot stress enough how important it was for me personally to read my dark Vanessa. deff look up TW’s but i highly recommend that book.
i felt the same way about starting the Shatter Me series but please read it! im on the third book and i LOVE
OMG I Loved Where the Crawdads Sing!! I didn't want to leave the marshlands of North Carolina...
I know people hate on "They both die at the End" but I really liked it. It didn't make me cry or anything, but I still liked it! It was cute and the concept was cool.
You HAVE to read The Inheritance Games and Shatter Me!!! Those two literally started my reading addiction loll. Although I understand not wanting to commit to such a long series for shatter me, but trust me, you fly through it soooooo quickly! Most are pretty short, and I think the longest one only gets to around 450! I’d love to hear your thoughts on these! Their both so intricately plotted with many twists and turns. You should do a reading vlog. Either series would be super entertaining!
A touch of darkness is hades and Persephone retelling like neon gods. They are both pretty easy to follow because i'm the same way about mythology and names are hard for me but I enjoyed both of them!
i read the inheritance games for a book club and loved it!
I agree about the ratings thing, sometimes it’s so hard to rate a book accurately, specially if it’s really hyped!!
i have heard “you reached Sam” is so good!!!
for daisy jones and the six i would listen to the audiobook it’s fully casted and super interesting to listen to
Neon Gods is not an overly Greek book! I am not into Greek mythology at all and I LOVE this book, it’s a 5 star read for me. It’s mostly romance and soooo good.
How funny... I was bored by Verity and really enjoyed Daisy Jones. Going to pick up Seven Husbands now.. would love to also get Malibu Rising, but I live in Cali and already stress about fires, I don't want to read about them!
honestly malibu rising has nothing to do with fires. the fire scene is only about 5-10 pages or so at the end. it’s a family dynamic storyline!!
I really enjoyed
Also read today tonigh tomorrow, it's quite cliche but in a good way
Ahh you HAVE to read Hook, Line, & Sinker & Better Than The Movies! Love them both so much ❤
finally someone else loves november 9!!!
Please don't be worried to read The Sweetest Oblivion! It is one of my favorite books I've ever read! Nico is the perfect balance of overbearing/protective and caring/compassionate. The tension between Nico and Elena literally oozes off the page like this book made me feel all the feels lol, but seriously i think you'll really enjoy Danielle Lori's writing style!
I’m sorry but the sweetest oblivion was one of the worst books I’ve ever read. It’s like a Wattpad fanfic but make it a published book.😭😭 Nico is just no like he’s giving macho stereotypical mafia man and there’s no depth or anything meaningful and was so forgettable. I litch started yawning half way through
I will yell from the rooftops to read red white and royal blue because it is BEAUTIFUL. I wrote a whole research paper on it, absolutely in love.
Love theses types of videos! Please could you link this template so we can rank the books too?❤️
let me know if this works! tiermaker.com/create/booktok-books-15132770
@@SaraCarrolli yes it did! Thank you so much x
