I'm sure the few critics of this make nothing themselves but love to take apart anything anyone else does! I'm sure they've all built hundreds of perfect custom cars themselves & were born perfect welders..... The vast majority of reasonable human beings who genuinely love cars however should enjoy your effort & hard work, I appreciate seeing this build come together, thanks for the video. Great to see the car evolve & build-skills improve, it turned out fantastic looks like an awesome drift car!
BMW should of made one of these. The 3 series Ute, I'd of had one and I don't even like 3 series BMs, but the shape is dope. Yours will make a fun racer, but I'd like one to daily, with all the niceties of the saloon with the practicality of the Ute, and the fun on the M Sport.
This made my day. I've been toying with the idea of opening the back of my Legacy wagon, into a pickup, but I wasn't sure what to do about the bed, since I want it to support weight. Serious food for thought here. Thanks for posting this.
wow, crazy to come across. Thanks for making this. Being this is my build I'll reply a bit...... This was an art project. The welding did begin completely horrible, but those were my first welds ever along with not having gas at times and just using flux... I had to learn somehow. The end weight wet is 2700lbs (NOW with complete doors/ windows/ wipers/ and full hood and an alum ls motor/ 6 speed zf6 trans). She now has a LSX stroker inside, which isn't nearly as cool...but she's way faster. The supercharger was too small bottlenecked the s38 up top. ua-cam.com/video/-dZmT5dSgXg/v-deo.html As far as money into it, pretty much just time and materials (which was a lot over the course) Other than all the suspension that was on my black m3. E36 rollers are a dime a dozen here. I used all the factory wiring, megasquirt to run the s38, and did/ learned to do everything myself. The whole truck thing isn't for everybody, but I love it.....
i did this to a wagon now after seeing the video i wish i never sold it nice build and i love how you dont stand around and talk in the video filming your self i wish more people would show what they have done rather then make 20 videos talking about what there going to do props
+Build Threads Quality is good enough to enjoy the progress of the build and steal ideas. Like that supercharger setup! I am a sucker for adapter plates and retrofitting .
dope to see the build behind a car that you get to see drifting every once in a while at wild horse pass raceway, i think i might actually have some footage of you sliding and killing tires on my phone
I am more of a BMW hater than BMW fan, but i like this project a lot. You put there so much effort dude. Wish i got some skills to build something similar.
This is gonna be viral! I want to do review it like "No fucks given E36 drift truck review" lol um.. was the first E36 an actual M3 ? :( aaand.. 3:26 nice bike :P
conor1148 well it had an m3 bumper and an "M Power" engine, so it most likely was. Luckily the engine was usable. bumpers were and will be avaiable, so its fine. glad the engine is alive and was rebuilt.
Good question. roll cage, and the extra metal in the back that makes up the bed.. I would say about the same as the original car if not a little heavier
not a huge fan of the build style, but i can definetively apreciate the amount of time, and money that' been put in to it, so still an awsome job man 👍
that was awesome! the instrumental was great. chopping the e36 down into a makeshift el Camino was genious! how practical! makes me want to do the same to my em2.
That's awesome. Anyone who can build something like that in their home garage is amazing. LOTS of hours of hard work put into that beast. Kinda wish the whole thing was sprayed with that graffiti motif.
Your guys are amazing,!!!! every time, whenever I visit this Chanel,.... I came down here just to remember what you guys did on that BMW........SOOO AMAZING!!! And was my first video when I Discovery this Chanel,.... Keep doing, nice job!!!!!!
WOW this was a really inspiring video, much love story then twilight. But to be honest this really shows how much car enthusiasts really love their personal treasures. JUST FUCKING BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!
it was really worth watching 16 minutes & 10 seconds of admiring ur amazing, hardworking, savage, beyond beautiful BMW👏 the makes me smile every time I seeing your master piece👌👏💯👌👏
glad you painted it in the end, it was too much of an extensive project to leave in the rough state...your car your dream glad you finalized it On a different note, next welding rig should include using shielding gas instead of flux for a cleaner end result
Seems like it must've been a great project to work on. I'm happy you uploaded it, because at least I appreciate it. It was awesome seeing it's entire transformation even with its rebel-like teenage years, haha. Good video. Thanks for sharing.
GDM with a major JDM look it looks really cool and well built so many people would have made it look like shit so it's awesome to see someone take their time to make something really no one else has done and make it still work right maybe even better then stock good work guys good work!!!
Dude total respect to you this is amazing and so much time amd effort put into this build!! I wanna chop a e30 and drive it on the daily. This is the best build on youtube man
looks awesome really well built but surely its alot heavier now with all that extra steel, box sectioning etc.... when I stacked my last one I just bought another e36 & e46's in the uk are less than £700 & just swaped the cage over n other safty bits in a day or two each time. must be a labour of love and just cause you can. top fabrication work my hats off to you sir :-)
I'd totally drive this thing daily.
Jup, i would get a little less camber in the front and a nice even paint tough
same here
Honestly I'd totally keep that fucked up paint from the beginning. I love it so much... :D
+Jonas Zeidler no I like the clean look
i'd drive too, to shame you can't drive in traffic with roll cage, in our country, and this is europe(
I'm amazed by the fact that i think it looks sweet and shitty at the same time.
I'm sure the few critics of this make nothing themselves but love to take apart anything anyone else does! Lol you should see my welds...... At least I can blame it on a 100 dollar Harbor Freight welder!
I agree with what you said too :)
probably my favorite video on yt rn
matt Farrah should do a one take on this ride
+porsche200471 that the thing with these kinda builds you drive it, break it, and rebuild it
very true
not get smashed into a wall by matt farah tho
This is so fucking beautiful!
cool car ! come visit my channel !
YES!

This is beatiful. Absolutely brilliant. Thank you for adding something unique like this to our ordinary viewing pleasure.
The music is so romantic lol LMFAOOOOOOOOO
But yet so fitting.
oh yeah I replayed it several times just for music
thats the song
IMO it would be a cool song as a Gran Tourismo menu/garage theme.
its for the love he put into this cae
This made my day. I've been toying with the idea of opening the back of my Legacy wagon, into a pickup, but I wasn't sure what to do about the bed, since I want it to support weight. Serious food for thought here. Thanks for posting this.
An Incredible expression of human inventiveness through automobile. Monumental fabrication. I love this.
If you look at the pictures, the welds are terrible. Cage probably serves no safety to him at all.
+xStr8UPDoPex yeah but I'm sure it was cleaned up.
Not saying mine would be any better, but he welded the cage to the shock towers.... WUT
The music was so chill too, man. I totally didn't mind that it was a photo slide show. And that build deserves a lot of cred, mang. Big up!
wow, crazy to come across. Thanks for making this. Being this is my build I'll reply a bit......

Hah, must be regional it popped up on mine and I saw your car around Tempe on a trailer awhile back.
the blue looks terrible
Beautifully done.
The whole thing is straight up sex. Well done.
+Julios Drewett nah
one of the craziest builds I've seen, so calming to watch.
Nice, but woulda liked more shots of the finished car jeez it looks dope
I know, that was a hell of a teaser
civicsr2cool IFKR!
dw got you covered :) www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?2300575-E36-Drift-Truck-V2&p=29275164#post29275164
i did this to a wagon now after seeing the video i wish i never sold it nice build and i love how you dont stand around and talk in the video filming your self i wish more people would show what they have done rather then make 20 videos talking about what there going to do props
Just wish it was higher quality
+Shane Chopko So do I.
+Build Threads Quality is good enough to enjoy the progress of the build and steal ideas. Like that supercharger setup!
I am a sucker for adapter plates and retrofitting .
+rzan8 i agree with you
I'm not a big fan of bmw's but I really like what you did and can appreciate how much work you put in to it. Hell of a job!
It looked instantly 100 times better after the paint job. Nice car.
Building something from scratch is not for everyone. Bravo.
I love "Mullet" cars for some reason. Working tailgate = awesome! The owner should make a removable cap from a wagon if he is bored.
Dude that was a lot of work! :o
Excuse me? That's not a truck that is a ute like an el Camino
No hate but I got triggered when you put that it's a truck
You're absolutely right, but I feel that it would be weird to change title of the video now, as it says "drift truck" in the video as well.
Reagan Briggs i mean utes are technically trucks
Reagan Briggs yep us Australians call them utes as well we call any car with a tray in the back a ute
No they're not. A truck has a truck chassis, a ute uses a car chassis.
the idea is sick, but it now probably weighs 3 tons!
The reason for that is if he will hit a wall next time, he will not damage the car but will destroy the wall, fuck yhea! ..lol..
Fucking sick. Now I wanna chop mine up lol.
dope to see the build behind a car that you get to see drifting every once in a while at wild horse pass raceway, i think i might actually have some footage of you sliding and killing tires on my phone
I don't really like the rat style but on this car it looks nice tho, one of the most creative project i have ever seen.
if you watch till the end its painted blue looks good
+Trance EndDance yeah but still in rat style, it don't have to be covered in rust in 100%, but yes the blue painting looks cool tho on that BMW
no its complete no rust very end
like a real 2 stage job
i think he means having the "car" one color and having the bed bed lined. and maybe some none flashy wheels
i like the use of the shadow conspiracy chain to hold the trunk door lol
Just wish the intro music wasnt taken from an 90's porno.
I think the music was pretty chill👀😂
it's not "taken from", but added to 90's porn.
I kept on telling myself, "please paint it, please paint it" then with 20 seconds to spare, this man made my day. well done!!
thats a lot of steel. how many LBs is she?
A+ for doing what ever the hell he wants regardless of what anyone thinks. and to pull it off like that, I love it. great job all around.
But why is the hood cut to accommodate that motor shouldn't it fit??
because low
+Dab God ya but that's a six cylinder that you could get in a stock 3 series is it not? If so then the body shouldn't have to be modified
Yup... because low lol
+Dab God so what you're saying is that the subframe is raised so the car can go lower
+Dab God they don't lower the
frame they put coil overs on it and they are shorter than the stock springs
I am more of a BMW hater than BMW fan, but i like this project a lot. You put there so much effort dude. Wish i got some skills to build something similar.
whats the name of the music relay liked it
Kojo a. - Lately

So clean, best BMW pickup conversion I have seen to date!
What are that for rims?
Ps. Nice E36 dude 🤙🏼
BMW Style 5 / BBS RC90
Build Threads thanks!!
I'm amazed at all the negative comments. I think this is awesome and unique. Looks like your having a blast! well done man.
This is gonna be viral!
I want to do review it like "No fucks given E36 drift truck review" lol
um.. was the first E36 an actual M3 ? :(
aaand.. 3:26 nice bike :P
conor1148 well it had an m3 bumper and an "M Power" engine, so it most likely was. Luckily the engine was usable. bumpers were and will be avaiable, so its fine. glad the engine is alive and was rebuilt.
The engine is from m5 e34 , thats why oil pan is in front and the engine is up :)
Sorry for bad english :D Bulgaria
KKaaLLooYYaaNN thanks for the explaination :D
every single thing in this video is so amazing, the car project and the filming is awesome!!!!
how much does it weigh?
pretty light if you consider it a truck
That logic doesn't make any sense
Good question. roll cage, and the extra metal in the back that makes up the bed.. I would say about the same as the original car if not a little heavier
+Integra DIY ima guess 200-300 lbs over stock wieght
2700 pounds
This is honestly one of the coolest builds I've seen, nice job man
I just saw this thing for sale on cl yesterday
Where?
Lil Puddin Tater in Phoenix
plus you could tell kdkb 93.3 is a phx station
i saw one like this in Cali
I have never liked a video on youtube as much yours.
Great job!
#BuiltNotBought
By far the coolest bmw ive seen no matter what.
dam u got a lot of extra time lol
not a huge fan of the build style, but i can definetively apreciate the amount of time, and money that' been put in to it, so still an awsome job man 👍
Cool idea but too much extra metal in the back
the weight distribution looks perfect for drifting though
not to mention how much weight they took out by removing the back portion of the car
David Hickey well, that's what I meant. i seems to me they put a lot more in than what they took out. But hey, if they're happy with it!
+Steven B2 They needed to add support.
+Steven B2 You need the frame to be incredibly rigid for drifting
Nice never seen anything like it before in my life. can only imagine the work that was put into it. good job.
Those wheels painted like that are rice as f**k
And here is somebody who doesnt know what rice is! well done!
+Nick Sisson you dont know what your talking about bruh
+Jesse Batema I like the car and the wheels but I'm just not into the Thomas the tank engine paint scheme on the wheels
So just because you dont like the colour it makes it rice? Logical.......
Someone doesn't know what rice means
that was awesome! the instrumental was great. chopping the e36 down into a makeshift el Camino was genious! how practical! makes me want to do the same to my em2.
sick build, that's a sick blue you picked out in the last part of the video
that is one of the most unique cars I've ever seen! Good luck to you man!
That's awesome. Anyone who can build something like that in their home garage is amazing. LOTS of hours of hard work put into that beast. Kinda wish the whole thing was sprayed with that graffiti motif.

Very nicely done clean man good job the car community needs more thinking out of the box like this!!!!!!!!!
Fresh jam! absolutely epic build! Love it with the fresh coat of paint!
WOW this was a really inspiring video, much love story then twilight. But to be honest this really shows how much car enthusiasts really love their personal treasures. JUST FUCKING BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!
End Result was sick!!! Was worried when you started spray painting all over it! Good job man!
wiring looked like a pain, respect and love to your hard work
This music made the video so much more enjoyable
One of the most creative builds i have ever seen! ♡
Dustin Latimer don't you ever stop playing!!
it was really worth watching 16 minutes & 10 seconds of admiring ur amazing, hardworking, savage, beyond beautiful BMW👏
the makes me smile every time I seeing your master piece👌👏💯👌👏

Good job Dustin, that's awesome to not only share passion about Inline -Skating but also for Drifting a BMW, Cheers ;)
Sickest bmw build ive ever seen and will ever see
wow I remember this thing back on the forums in 2010. damn legend.
In my opinion its damn impressive what you did there, converting a coupe into a pickup.
And the look of it is just unqiue.
yo man you litterally went from the ground up with that car. much love man
Really wanted to see more pics of the finished car! Awesome video, I hate trucks but BMW truck is sick! 👍🏽
Seems like it must've been a great project to work on. I'm happy you uploaded it, because at least I appreciate it. It was awesome seeing it's entire transformation even with its rebel-like teenage years, haha. Good video. Thanks for sharing.

In a nice dark red and black colour scheme, this would look incredible...
freshest bmw build I've ever seen
beauty build, lots of respect for the hours it must have taken
I applaud all the work this thing took!
Really nice build on my opinion ! That hood "vent" is so cool !!
I'm not a BMW guy at all but this is awesome
Dude total respect to you this is amazing and so much time amd effort put into this build!! I wanna chop a e30 and drive it on the daily. This is the best build on youtube man
I really love how well you did this. Amazing to see honestly.
cool mods.. and the transformation show that you are very satisfied with your car.. keep it up man
This looks monster AF. Good work man.
that thing is honestly bad ass. not a fan of beemers but caught my eye with this one
one word amazing complete artwork at its finest good build love it
Sickest, most creative build I've seen and this is like my third time watching lol
Somehow I knew you rode BMX at the start of this vid XD. Seems cars and BMX go hand in hand. Well done bro.
Excellent. Would have mixed the graffiti design with some matte black body paint. Great build, love the welding work. Perseverance says it all.
Love the ending color. Creative build.
looks fresh with the Blue paint. nice build
i would love to meet this guy, this car shows his personality is that amazing!
Introducing the El Cabimo. lolol
This is one sweet looking ride.
That's so cool! I often dream about giving something the ute treatment. Maybe one day.
looks awesome really well built but surely its alot heavier now with all that extra steel, box sectioning etc....
when I stacked my last one I just bought another e36 & e46's in the uk are less than £700 & just swaped the cage over n other safty bits in a day or two each time.
must be a labour of love and just cause you can. top fabrication work my hats off to you sir :-)
I love this thing. Awesome craftsmanship
when I saw the thumbnail I was like I have seen that car before lol. So saw the video and I'm like it is the 1 from drift events lol.
This video makes me really happy. Cool build.
Awesome transformation! nice drifting performance too
I love this build!
