Great video! I thought I'd share some of my methods in using the Eevmate to answer some of Jon's questions. The display on the tool only counts step outputs so if the valve is not in it's minimum or maximum position it may not accurately represent the valve position. To know that what I use is a mechanics stethoscope pressed to the valve body and listen while driving the valve for the distinct "click" sound it makes when it can drive no further. As for compatibilty it works for unipolar motors only. Those will have 5 or 6 wires. These are found on most residential, light commercial, ductless and VRF systems. It will not work with bipolar motors which have 4 wires and used on large tonnage Refrigeration and Applied systems.
