I'm a 55 year-old white guy. I was around for the birth of rap, never much liked it. A couple songs hooked me through the years (mostly Dre and Snoop, tbh) but in general rap was off my playlists. Listening to Eminem changed that. I don't like all his songs, but the man has TALENT. Rap God indeed.
He makes me proud to be from Detroit. He's more than a rapper. He's an artist. His lyrics run deep and go over a lot of people's heads. He's smart. I do miss the old Eminem. The controversial one before everyone got too sensitive

The best thing about the MMLP2 as a whole is that the album is very replayable due to all the references in his work. It is a lot more rewarding for fans who are not that casual (like the Pharoahe Monche line). I think it maybe as good as The Eminem Show.

I totally get that Stans (I am a hardcore one) can go a little overboard on Em, but when you start listening to him and learning his story, he’s just an undeniably amazing rapper. Enjoyed the reaction a lot

Rap is traditionally black music with few outliers, and it's very hard due to social conditioning to accept that someone who's white at the age he started is able to outdo pretty much every rapper he goes against.
