I like to dive, fly over them, get them to try prophang before taking advantage of my 700-600IAS speed stall them and then take them out, if I don't kill them in the first pass tho I just leave. Eventually someone will kill them
When I see these usually I try to take them out first as they are tend to be flown by more skilled players. I have to say getting targetted by this thing is scary
The biggest reason I bought this was for Ground battles. USA has an excellent lineup at 5.7 and this is just the capstone. Is it perfect? No, there are better pure dogfighters. But it's a great all rounder with a brutal CAS loadout and better dogfighting ability than the D-28.
@@J4ckmaestro If all you're worried about is killing tanks, sure. But the P-47M does both CAS and Anti-CAS better than any of your other choices. There are better dogfighters, and better CAS options, but the P-47M does _both_ and does so well enough.

Truth is... every plane will suffer when fighting yak-3UFO, The best low alt plane like yak vk107 or sprit LF don't really stand a chance.... even P-51H will struggle.
One of my favourite planes. I wish there would be a more "meta" game mode for flying it. Until then (lol...not gonna happen) I can only hope that IL2 Sturmovik moves to the Pacific eventually.
I just wish they made enduring confrontation for RB, so instead of being a death match every round it be more centered on who's better ad doing certain task, not only that but it makes attackers and bombers have more purpose in game other than an alternate form of ticket bleed
I was just saying that with the 25 min time limit the p47 should get its airspawn back so its viable. The p38 still has airspawn and its better in every aspect even at high altitude.
This plane really caught me off guard with how well it can keep up in a dogfight, I was fighting it while in a yak-3U and was astonished that he was keeping up with me pretty easily.
I think it's down to pilot skill. Most people who own it are capable of utilizing the full power of its upgraded P&W Radial, and squeezing as much juice out of the absolutely d e n s e airframe. It's not a cheap plane, so you *have* to know you like it and what you want to do with it to justify spending the money. I wouldn't say the T-Bolt M solves all the problems because it's still a brick at heart. But it is certainly not a warp speed cement mixer with the engine upgrades. :)
With the magical flaps in the low speed turnfight with that insane engine power, you can sit behind a lot of planes. And with 8 50s any shot you do get is likely a kill or a cripple
@@revolver265update thing, gayjiggles now gave it the "correct engine". As technically, it did use the 57C that the N also has. One small issue, they forgot to take into account that the M had a better CH-5 turbocharger, allowing it to make more power in the 47M. But gaijin just copy pasted the new P-47N engine. The P-47M is now a dog. It's now a lighter P-47D-28 with a weaker engine, and the performance difference is very slight. The P-47M is SLIGHTLY better than the D-28 in all regards if on WEP, and much worse if on 100% (the D-28 makes 2390 hp on 100%, the M now makes 2060hp on 100%). But the P-47D-28 is a 5.0, and the P-47M is a 5.7. There is currently no goddamn reason to fly it over the D-28 except aesthetics/cool/rare fsctor.

Defyn vids rlly helped me in this game. I used to play it super passive and end up being the last guy alive and get 1 kill and get swarmed. Now I have over a 2-1 kd on most my planes and 3-1 and even 4-1 kd on planes I'm good with. Not saying I'm the best player or anything but definitely got so much better playing a lot more aggressively.
Honest question, how do you get so far up in terms of altitude and speed? Whenever I play Air RB, my US planes seem to have all of the aerodynamic capability of a pile of bricks with hopes and dreams for thrust. Yes, I am upgrading and installing modifications, but it always seems like every other plane has higher speed, climbs faster, turns tighter, and has perfect accuracy, compared to my brick that can make very nice outlines around anything I try to take down. I noticed around 2-3 minutes in, you did this maneuver against the Ki-83 that let you take it down, but I don't even know what buttons to press to do that same kind of move, or at a bare minimum what the move is called so I can look it up on my own.
Speaking of Sales, this one‘s not in Sale… in fact: you can‘t even buy it anymore. Which brings me back to day 100 of asking for a Hunter FGA. 9 Video. I‘m curious what anyone can do with that thin in the current meta, it seems impossible to play that thing. All of the Hunters in fact
Fga9 is useless now with its only potential coming from third-partying people, even in a slight uptier you just get your butt slaughtered by r60s and supersonics
I bought this at full price awhile back. I love P-47's and the prospect of having one with an airbrake sold me. Was it worth it? Not really but it's still nice to have.
Its kind of sad how just the reduction of the time limit really fucked a lot of planes like the 190Ds, F7F, VB.10, Do-335, Ki-87, J7W, and others including the 47M that need a lot of space and time to be used effectively just due to either sub par speed, climb or maneuverability or a combination there of, if not all 3
The 190 D9 is good on lower alts, so nothing changed. The D12 is worse off and the Ki87 is in the same super high altitude boat but was already not great.. The F7F was always bad just like the J7W. The Do335 get's airspawn and has never been stronger than now in the ticket bleed meta, but can also easily interupt and possibly destroy climbing enemies.
Love this plane, I picked it up earlier this year and have played tons of battles in it, both ground and air battles. I find I'm usually the top dog at altitude in battles, it's great to surprise TA152's and BF109's at high altitudes. It's also great to clean up ground units on the ground while you wait for enemies to come back
I do love baiting german lawn darts with the airbrakes it's not the best but with the amount of premium german bomber spam at this tier it paid for itself.
Vs that K4 you were going 220km/h IAS, if he didn't reverse his turn, he would have survived without any issues, he was slow, but still faster than 220 IAS, but he failed at properly guessing P-47's energy, panicked and got killed as a result.
GG@@sule.A Nope, P-47 was on the verge of stalling and K4 has a lot better acceleration above 180 IAS. It has also a lot better climb and a bit better turn. All he had to do was not reversing in front of gun, because he was also going faster.
I was wondering if the M model was in this game. I remember playing aces high was fun going with the 6 gun load package and reduced fuel it was a nimble beast. Even in some slow down dog fights full flaps out weps on had such a slow stall speed the enemy would float right under neath because they can't pull up for the shot and you just light em up so long as your engin torque didn't roll you over. Gave them 109s a run for their money. Does make me sad though I know in no way it would handle the same way.
We need a fighter/strike plane only game mode. No ground targets, no bombers, no rockets or bombs allowed. If you land, then there is a 5km buffer zone around the AF you aren't allowed to enter for 1 minute to avoid campers who wait out a game and win with 0 kills and 0 rounds shot for the entire match. It's so annoying when I get like 4 or 5 kills and then lose on tickets because someone is in space or retreats back to the AF everytime they screw up and I get on their 6. And then the time runs out and as previously stated, some noob with no skill wins with 0 kills.
With all the stuff coming up in your life that will restrict your time to make videos, do you think it would be less effort to do a youtube stream every week or so flying out various planes and uploading the unedited footage afterwards to your channel? It could probably save you a little time, and people would almost certainly watch it, I mean you have a consistent viewerbase of about 20k-30k, you'd think at least 50-100 would tune in for a stream. Or are streams something you just don't want to do because it doesn't really fit the type of content you regularly put out which is more edited with somewhat scripted talking points? Just curious, anyways, you should play the yak-9p sometime for a video, I really feel like it plays a bit differently than a lot of yaks. It's very fast for its BR, and has great armament with the potential for a 23mm cannon in the nose with 2 20mm's as well. It has worse performance than the 3U and turns worse than the 3P, I feel like the 9P is a somewhat unique experience and I don't believe you've ever made a video on it.
The 9P sits in the same kind of situation as the La-7B, it performs a bit worse than the 9U at a bit higher br, but it gets better guns. It’s a preference really

I love the La-7B but honestly the singular extra 20mm isn't really worth the increased br when it doesn't have better performance than the la-7, especially when the la-7 has entirely adequate armament.
I haven’t played in a few years. My fav planes were corsairs P-38s and P47s. Taking out my P47s now, I was wondering how I managed to get so many kills in them. Side climbing now, I end the game with no kills, no points and just a drag on my team. Not favoring the “new meta”

When that Ki 84 hei player decided to outrun you, then loop over and head on you, I wanted to cry. Like he just did everything wrong that he possibly could, instead of dogfight, he runs, instead of climbing away, he turns back, instead of playing energy, he wastes it in a head on 🤦♂️
My opinion is yes , get it , it is a high altitude monster , "if you can get up there" and wery good for ground battles due to load out and the 8 x 50cal's, and premium for grinding out and still ok sl multipler. Thanx for upload mate 🙂 GG all o7
Do you recommend trying 800m convergence for 50 cals, DEFYN? 50 cals have really good range so I figure it might be good to go all in on the long-range spraying thing with a high convergence.
50 meter convergence still rules to this day. The enemy will be so extremely impressed by your tracers going everywhere but them they will just surrender instantly.
Does anyone know why the WEP is limited for the P-47? I know in the Harriers they use a water injection system or something so when it runs out of WEP it’s out of liquid to inject
Every time i take this thing out Im just the last person on the team fighting 5 yaks and 3 ta-152 so I tried rush climbing straight in for a bit and then just gave up for the time being.
I realised that all the tryhards always go for Re 2005, even if they finished researching other tiers. Some people looks to only care about bullying others
I'm gonna be honest, my teammates don't deserve me trying to win for them, so I just enjoy a high altitude dogfight against the one patient enemy and then leave the match. Ground pounding fighters aren't worth my time.
Is there a Video with the Do335? Can someone give me the link? I tryed to fly it in realistic airbattles and it does work not to bad. I just dont know the strengh and weakness of planes rly much
I dont play video games and no idea what I was watching but the guy yakking keeps saying the Ki83 the N1k1 the Re2005 are dangerous, fast, deadly, they can catch me they can turn inside they are faster..... Then he and his P47 eats everything. I think it would be funny to hear what the others had to say?
I just do not see the appeal in the p47s, they're so one-dimensional and rarely, and I mean rarely do I consider them a serious threat. The M is probably the only exception, but it also requires an exceptional pilot
The M, D-28 and D-30 are the three best. The rest are anywhere from ok to really bad (looking at you P-47N). What makes the P-47s dangerous is that when they are diving on you with speed it is actually fairly difficult to get out of their guns. More so than most other fighters. P-51s and F4Us have rudder lock up which makes it fairly easy if you can get onto their rudder axis. Most other fighters have various other forms of locking up. The P-47s just don't making it harder to get out of their guns. The better the player flying it, or at least the better the set up leading up to the attack, the harder it is to get out of their guns.
Did you not hear the explanations in the video? There is no appeal because the meta dosent favor them,you got time limit in battles that forces you to fight at around 4-5k alt instead of the 7k+ where this is unmatched . The higher you get the better the plane is .
5.7 very overtiered plane...a full 1.0 br above the already overtiered P-47N why exactly? these planes have weak turn, climb, acceleration, energy retention. in their favor is 8x50 and good top speed mainly at high altitude, not exactly a very threatening package
@@bencharlong2093 the p47N is much more agile than the f2g, true it's limited to shine at high altitude though. you better stay quick rather than losing speed and position turn fighting. Plus, 3 spits 1 p51h and 4 f2gs vs a ta152C two me410, a ki84 and four ju288 sort of matchmaking on average doesn't give your US aircraft chances for knife fights... because enemy team can't knife fight.
@@bencharlong2093 It's fine at low alt, and turns like okay enough, the issue is just that it climbs a bit too slow, so your early game relevance kinda doesn't exist, so you have the choice either engaging without much altitude, or youre basically arriving too late to the battle to actually get kills.

I think what is more frustrating is when you try to tell you teammate something, you get that 30 seconds chat lock which gives me instant aneurysm.

Did you say this has an airbrake? I remember the M being lighter and turning a lot better the last time I test flew one, it's a nice plane.
This Plane works pretty good for GroundRB but in AirRB you hit that weird spot were there is Ju288 spam and the teams are really set up odd

When that Ki 84 hei player decided to outrun you, then loop over and head on you, I wanted to cry. Like he just did everything wrong that he possibly could, instead of dogfight, he runs, instead of climbing away, he turns back, instead of playing energy, he wastes it in a head on 🤦♂️
My opinion is yes , get it , it is a high altitude monster , "if you can get up there" and wery good for ground battles due to load out and the 8 x 50cal's, and premium for grinding out and still ok sl multipler.

Do you recommend trying 800m convergence for 50 cals, DEFYN? 50 cals have really good range so I figure it might be good to go all in on the long-range spraying thing with a high convergence.
Nah, u gonna get your shit pushed in when the enemy is closer that 800m
So long as you remember to offset to one wing at short range you shouldn't have a problem.
I always did 600m and start shooting at 1.2km so they start turning too early
600m convergence is meta for .50 cal you cut wings at 600m you also good at 1km head on
50 meter convergence still rules to this day. The enemy will be so extremely impressed by your tracers going everywhere but them they will just surrender instantly.

I'm gonna be honest, my teammates don't deserve me trying to win for them, so I just enjoy a high altitude dogfight against the one patient enemy and then leave the match. Ground pounding fighters aren't worth my time.

I just do not see the appeal in the p47s, they're so one-dimensional and rarely, and I mean rarely do I consider them a serious threat. The M is probably the only exception, but it also requires an exceptional pilot
The M, D-28 and D-30 are the three best. The rest are anywhere from ok to really bad (looking at you P-47N). What makes the P-47s dangerous is that when they are diving on you with speed it is actually fairly difficult to get out of their guns. More so than most other fighters. P-51s and F4Us have rudder lock up which makes it fairly easy if you can get onto their rudder axis. Most other fighters have various other forms of locking up. The P-47s just don't making it harder to get out of their guns. The better the player flying it, or at least the better the set up leading up to the attack, the harder it is to get out of their guns.
Did you not hear the explanations in the video? There is no appeal because the meta dosent favor them,you got time limit in battles that forces you to fight at around 4-5k alt instead of the 7k+ where this is unmatched . The higher you get the better the plane is .
5.7 very overtiered plane...a full 1.0 br above the already overtiered P-47N why exactly? these planes have weak turn, climb, acceleration, energy retention. in their favor is 8x50 and good top speed mainly at high altitude, not exactly a very threatening package

@@bencharlong2093 the p47N is much more agile than the f2g, true it's limited to shine at high altitude though. you better stay quick rather than losing speed and position turn fighting. Plus, 3 spits 1 p51h and 4 f2gs vs a ta152C two me410, a ki84 and four ju288 sort of matchmaking on average doesn't give your US aircraft chances for knife fights... because enemy team can't knife fight.
@@bencharlong2093 It's fine at low alt, and turns like okay enough, the issue is just that it climbs a bit too slow, so your early game relevance kinda doesn't exist, so you have the choice either engaging without much altitude, or youre basically arriving too late to the battle to actually get kills.
