Nice work man! Being able to identify the looks of the headlight and being able to do modifications is something great you have done. Totally agree with how you see the actual high light of the old 09 is not aggressive looking but by moving it a bit lower it gives it a different aesthetics. You’ve done the McGiver thingy of sourcing your own brackets to what you have got around you. No one will notice i bet. Great job buddy.. keep posting brother🤙🏼
You are NOT the only person that has been bothered by this. This is problem the runs throughout all generations of this amazing bike. It makes the front fork area weak and fragile. And it actually gets WORSE with each generation. I don't even mind the general look of the Gen 3, more robotic look, but it is too high, and too small. I actually think Gen 1 headlight looks the best because it is larger. It makes it a bit more muscular and beefy so it covers the forks more. While the Gen 3 is even smaller and higher, exposing the forks more and making the whole area look tiny and weak. Great mod!
Me too, I'd like to do something with the GSX-S1000 too. I have seen a single round and was not conviced. I had a Ducati with dual simolar to street triples and it looked great. Maybe I do that in the future.

good work mate! I had a similar idea to mod the headlight of my gsx s1000,was thinking of a dual but could not find a style I liked.
