Can I do this method for crack (long crack but not deep)near the sink...I'm afraid water might slide and start separating the crack...so will this seal ?
Wow. I gotta try this. I have a white quartz and just chipped it at the corner. Do you think it will take up the white color completely? Or would it be a little different color?
I have white quartz countertop with a slight impact. Looks like someone was picking at something and dug a slight pitted scratch. Would this work? I was told to use a clear stone filler. Awesome video btw
Sorry I did not do that! It works great on small chips...it you bad a boulder to remove, not so sure it would be shinny. on a small one its pretty good repair.
Hi great video! We just picked up a marble table for free that has a large gaping hole in the corner and we don’t have the missing piece to put it back together :(. Do you think this would work for that?
I know you did the Quartz repair video 4 years ago but i need the help now and you seem to hit the spot better than others I have seen. Will this method work if I have big, (1/2 inch), chips at the edges of my quartz not in the field as this video teaches. I am thinking it may work if I do it in little lifts of 1/64 or so at a time. what do you think about using your technique for corner chips?
@@RVEnthusiast Wow, Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!! What a blessing that you responded to my comment. I was doubtful you would even see my comment let alone respond to it. I hope this will work for me.
Just found this video. The granite countertop in our recently purchased home is quite worn in some areas(lots of pits that go below the polished surface). Would this method work? If yes how long would the repair last?
I am planning to fill sandblasted letters on dark blackish granite, do you reckon it will fill just fine without being able to tell there were letters there? As compared to filling natural random patterned holes? Considering using this baking soda technique over perhaps resin. Thanks!
Hello RV Enthusiast- just found this great video. Could this work on beige-ish cultured marble, molded in bathroom sink? Have 3 divits in sink and would save a lot of money without replacing otherwise good material.
So does the Enrich and Seal fill in those natural nooks and crannies that are seen in granite? I really would like to try this as our granite countertops were never sealed professionally when they were installed 16 years ago. The wimpy spray sealers marketed to the consumer isn’t cutting it. Thanks for the help.
It works great to seal and enhance the look, as for filling them in...Very little, maybe some. When you use it make sure to follow the directions and let it cure for 24 hours after wiping it quasi dry..Just did it 2 days ago to sell the house and the granite looked fantastic.
I read another site which said for edges, a high viscosity epoxy should be used. I believe that just means it's thicker? so it doesn't drip. I have a damaged edge too, which is why I found this video. Titch, did it work for you?
Hi! This is great info. I tried using an epoxy to repair a small granite crack but it was too small. Superglue is my next step. Just one question: would you suggest masking off the are around a crack with masking tape first for a long very thin crack? Or is that asking for trouble?
I have done it on all of the mentioned. My first job was on a brown granite. If its oozing out get a quick superglue catalyst from a hobby shop. It will harden it pretty instantly.
Yep the glue is transparent, so it picks up the color from the divot. Granite is solid surface so the color is throughout the piece. I have done many pieces and have not found one that was not significantly better than the chip. I was looking at my quartz yesterday trying to find the chip I repaired several years ago and could not find it.
Great video. Can this super glue and baking soda be done on a car windshield? Does the Enrich and Seal darken the granite or the colours remain true? I want a product that does not darken the granite, but Seals it and gives it depth... -Chris
I would not do it on a windshield. Not sure on that. The enrich and seal shines protects and enhances.. It has never darkened anything I have used it on. It is my favorite.
@@RVEnthusiast How about if i dun add baking soda? And if the defect is bigger than yours, or a a long linear defect, does it still work good? And how to avoid/get rid of bubbles if they appear from the glue?
I just tried this and I can still see the crack line. The super glue is transparent.. I have a semi white quartz countertop. It has a hairline crack about a foot long. Is there anything else I can do to hide the black crack line? Thank you.
Another way I know is to take baking soda and mix the super glue into it. it heats up so work fast and use it as a paste in the crack. seach it on UA-cam...it looks easy enough good luck!
if its granite the methode I used will not scratch it. granite would be damaged if you press hard and go side to side not flipping the razor blide like I show. thanks for the comment and asking the question.
Super glue. With baking soda will turn a amber color over a few months Use super glue alone. Let dry by it's self for a hour or longer. Otherwise get an accelerator up Amazon
