- Hey guys! This is a short video of me unboxing my Lectric Trike. If you haven't heard, a lot of these trikes are arriving with bent wheels, axels and/or fenders. So, I wanted to show how mine arrived. I just received replacement wheels so I'll have a lot more videos coming. Thanks!

Everyone should know. I bought 2 lectric trikes for me and my wife last July. One of the trikes came with a bent wheel on the back, and the other one had two flat tires. Lectric ebikes sent us a new wheel but I bought new tubes for the tires. Now both bikes have bad rear axle bearings and the bikes are not usable. We have put 117 miles on one trike and 104 miles on the other all neighborhood riding. I sent video of the bearing movement, and noise. they told me I had to pack up the bike in original packing and ship it back 1000 miles just to get it fixed or replaced. I asked for a shop service manual but they refused. These bikes are cheaply made and service is poor. So much for savings.
Same problem with mine. FedEx smashed the rear fenders up against the tires. Now I have to disassemble and realign Take care and happy biking
Just received 2 Trikes yesterday for my wife and I. On one Trike, the rear wheel is bent similar to yours. On the other one, the fender is dented. Seems to be a common problem. Yeah, it wouldn't take much engineering, which they seem to be good at, to figure out a better packing method. They have to be losing money sending out all of these replacement parts. Lectric took care of both problems for me and then some. They are sending 2 complete wheels, I only needed one. 2 fenders again, only needed one. And a paint touch-up pen that will come in handy for the scuffs. Great customer service!
Excellent video, thanks! Great info and good editing, I subbed. I just received mine, I have not unboxed it yet. They have sold over 7,000 now you would think they would have corrected the packaging. It seems everyone has problems with the fenders. And that wheel???? What they do about that?
I saw someone riding the Lectric trike around my town this past weekend. So they are definitely becoming popular. I would love to do a custom e-trike build for high performance.

I built one with a 1500 watt kit. It'd do about 30 top speed and no issue with any hills. Tried a mid drive to make use of the 7 speed setup* but the cassette on a trike sits a bit further in than on a regular bike the mid drives were designed for so it only worked with the 6th and 7th gears. So scrapped that idea.
*I had built a trike with a gas engine on it that made use of the 7 speed. Got that thing up to 53 briefly, was a scary friggen ride
oops yeah fedup is not the best in North Idaho either. This Side up should be simple enough :o

Thanks for sharing. I got my Trike about a month ago, it was damaged, fenders dug into tires, only moved backwards. I didn't think about checking for wheels out of round, I'll check mine. Lectric is supposed to ship me new fenders, meanwhile I struggled to straiten the bent ones, so I can ride forward. Can you do this? I took my battery off and brought it inside for the night, now I can't get it back on.
Our second Lectric Trike had the same wobble. They said make a video and send it to them, then they will make a decision
Good product... Shipping not so good... Giant arrows "THIS SIDE UP", upside down in truck and delivers it to door on it's side where those tail lights are bearing weight... But, you'll get the kinks out bro!!! THANKS!!!
Great video on how to and and what not to do. As it come to the shipping does matter the company they all are not the most gentle i know because in in the shipping business the bigger and the heavier the box the more they get kicked around like a soccer ⚽️ ball and it some doesn't matter how much protection you put or how you pack it it just happens
Not only does FedEx bring you a damage bike fenders and bend the rims but also scratches your truck.
Yeah, was gonna say that's a really dumb way to ship a trike.
Though in my opinion if people can't figure out how to unfold the steer tube or connect wires they should go lay down in the corner before they hurt themselves.
My fenders were bent pretty bad. The lights stopped working. Nice bike though.
What you’ve experienced with your trike, and apparently what many others likewise have experienced has shied me away from purchasing one. Too bad, really, as the company is not far from where I live.
All these trikes have the same rear end bearing problem. I’ll be addressing this in a new video in the next few days. Thanks for watching!
If you care to do the tedious work, you can possibly get your bent wheels straight again by adjusting the spoke tensions to tweak it back into correct position.
I had same problem, left side tire.

What did you spray on the brakes to clean the oil off?
Just regular old automotive brake clean. Make sure you get the extension nozzle to get it right down in there. It worked great thanks for watching. I hope you subscribe and there’s more to come. Thanks a lot.

just got mine,fenders bent, brake light area dented.have to remove the wheel to work on the fenders. fedex is brutal.will lectric replace damaged parts?hope your problams get solved...dave
Yes, they will take a picture of your serial number and photos of the damage, our videos and send it to them. They’ll replace everything even the trike if the axle is bent.
