I miss going to the beach at 15 yrs old instead of girl hunting I was in the arcades and will never forget the first time sitting in a racing cab and hearing DAYTONAAAA .... hahaha now Im 36 this week

The old arcade racing games are fun. I don't like realistic racing games. I like to play racing games in 3rd person view and with a controller. It would be fun to play racing games in a cabinet sometimes.
I love racing games so much, I don't get why they aren't that much mainstream
(not talking about GTA/Gran Turismo)
I converted a cruisin usa sit down to a custom xbox 360 powered racer about 10 years ago. I love this project. Great video

The driver II main board looks very similar to my gameking 2019 board. Search for gameking 2019 and you will probably find this racing board from same suppliers

Give me a shout when they come up with a motorbike one! That's the most fun I ever had at arcades, probably because I have a bike and was able to out race everyone I ever went up against! 🤣

Logitech G29 very wellknown, but i just thinking about PS5 dual sense controller, will the Shoulder button able to respon as real as acceleration pedal that able to keep steady constant speed, and also the analog stick able to respon as real as the steering wheel that able to keep constant turning radius, you know what i mean 😁
at last, if ps5 able to simulate it, tgat will be significant for racing games 😏
Any ideas on how to turn off the free play mode? And any settings, can't get Mario Kart power up to work on similar cabinet?
What the price of machine? Two does it have online play? If the price is over 1500 dollars and it doesnt have online play, I will wait for Arcade1up or iircade!
Ouch, the console quality parts and 16:9 monitor for me a just a no go.
Don't forget when connecting to high end pc or ps4 we need this kind of displays 😏

Ps4 out of the box is going to be a probllem because the g29 is not compatible with the ps4. You will need some kind of dongle or an pi witch converts the signal. But overall ik looks nice, buy just like you said it takes up a lot of space.
The g29 is compatible with ps4. I have one and ot works. There is 2 versions of these, one for playstation and one for xbox and both work on pc

I just wonder , the feeling of driving the cars , is it a little bit the same like the original arcade or is the emulation zo bad , that it is beter tot play the Saturn version on much cheaper nvidia shield

That is a good question you shall need to make a special metal plate for that to connect it to the cabinet.
And drill a hole for the cable so you can connect it with the steering wheel 😅
How's force feedback in these kits? Do all the game arcade game support it?
There are some games supporting the force feedback like Sega GT.
Stil for the perfect feedback we need next gen games.

How do you get to the game section menu? They have this machine at my workplace but nobody can work out how to change the games
You can swap with the button on your left or right.

If you upgrade the pc you can do that.
NFS Underground 1 and 2 have pc releases.
Burnout I think we need console for that or emulate the console 😆

I wish someone would make a new and open source M2 emulator. It sucks that the only M2 emulator is closed source, buggy, and dead. ☹️ I would love to see Daytona USA the arcade version on Android and Linux.

the model 2 emulator works just fine, this is the emulator all these "retro" arcades use, I have the emulator installed in my old pc and the games work fine. ;-)

@@vasopel Because not everyone wants to use Windows and yeah some people only have an android phone or tablet for internet. Some people prefer Linux because they don't want Microsoft breathing down their neck. 😶

besides you don't really want to play Daytona USA on a phone or tablet since you can't hook up a racing wheel on those ;-)
