The socks are awesome because they also have a high level of cotton content, not just all polyester. Sister Constance is very talented and doesn’t give herself enough credit, she makes beautiful art! Thank you Margaret
Elizabeth❣️ Thanks for this new information! I’m liking Joggles! I must have missed you talking about socks. I’ll go to the start again. Have a wonderful holiday with family & friends. 😻🎄🎅🏼 PS you’re great❣️❣️
Hey Margaret by now I know you found the socks! Yes, Joggles is a family owned company out of Rhode Island with excellent customer service and the stencils are made in the USA, I think that’s a great combination and I love working with them. I’m glad that you are liking them as well. Have a merry Christmas and a happy holiday and thanks for being here. And you are also great :-)
I love your work! Time to order some new Klimt stencils / masks! I also want to complement Joggles - not only are their products well made, their customer service is amazing!
Lynn, you are 100% right their customer service is incredible and from an artist standpoint, working with them is also wonderful. I’m glad that you feel this way and thanks for loving my work!.
These are great looking stencils ❣️I ordered both of these collections because I couldn’t decide which one stencil I liked more . I’m chomping at the bit to play with them. I’m looking forward to see what you do white them.
Great video, thanks for the inspiration! Ordered the set a couple of days ago. Cool socks, I live in the DC area and know Little Sisters of the Poor do good work.
They sure do good work, I really want to help them raise money with the socks. The socks are great, they have a high cotton content unlike a lot of these decorative socks that are very much polyester. You’re welcome for the inspiration! Happy holidays
Aloha from Hawaii. I just received my order of your fabuloso Klimt stencils. Love em! Just curious though, I have a little problem in that I don't quite know what to do with all the paper prints? Help help, they are piling up! Can you give any ideas or suggestions. I've made some cool envelopes and used for wrapping paper but yikes, what else can I do with them?
Hi April from Hawaii! I am a collage artist, I use all of my papers in my collage artwork. You can join me on my Patreon page and have access to hundreds of tutorial videos on how to use gel prints in collage. Www.patreon.com/elizabethsthilaire
I really enjoyed this video. You are a good teacher. I am new to working with stencils and gel plates. What is the best way to clean the stencils? Thanks.
Hi Sharon, unfortunately you cannot clean the stencils once the paint is dry on them. You can keep a dish basin of warm soapy water and rinse them off between using them, while the paint is still wet. I find this to be a drag though because then they, the stencils, are wet. So I just use mine and try to press off as much excess paint onto a piece of paper and don’t worry about it
@@sharontm3410 it really is, just try to get all of the paint that you can off of the stencils while they are wet, whether you rinse them in warm soapy water or whether you press them onto wet paper towels or whether you press them on to clean paper. That’s about all you can do
These are gorgeous! Could you also get a print off of the stencil itself or does the paint dry too fast? I love the metallic paint on the black paper!!!
Sometimes you can get a print off the stencil itself, but yes the paint dries pretty quickly. It depends on how much paint you apply. But I think if you get a good print off the stencil itself it means you’re using too much paint! But it is a good way to remove excess paint from the stencil, in the interest of keeping it clean, to press it onto a scrap paper. I love the metallic on black as well, thanks for your compliments Terry.
In a stencil the pattern is created by the holes, the negative space. In a mask the pattern is created by the Mylar, the positive space. Welcome! Thanks for being here
these papers are very different. the rough side of rice paper will want to stick to the plate, and the smooth side pulls off more paint. Deli paper is very slick, and the smooth side will often not remove much paint because it has nothing to grab onto, the less smooth side of deli paper pulls more paint off and is less likely to slip around.
Elizabeth, you are inspirational. Thank you.
My pleasure!
This is my first introduction to masks and stencils. So fascinating 😊
Welcome! I’m glad you found me.
Awesome and fascinating to watch colors come to life !

Your stencils are outstanding! Love them! Unfortunately not available in Europe 😓😢
Small family owned company, they don’t have the resources to handle the tax and customs paperwork. :(
Neat. Would have also like to see prints done on the other side of the gessoed paper.
Give it a try!
These are great!
Thanks Deborah!

How is it possible to use Gustav Klimt’s name? I would think it would have a copy right on it? Love your stencils.
Thanks so much!
Is there a difference between the roll rice paper and the sheets? Can they be used interchangeably? Thank you.
They are the very same paper!!

do you have to clean the stencils after use, or is it ok to just leave the paint on them?
I just press off as much paint as I can when they are wet and do not worry about it Elaine.
