You're such a terrific teacher Elizabeth... your teaching and the heat was conspiring against you here wasn't it! And yet you still triumph with gorgeous prints 👌 I adore Klimt and your designs beautifully evoke his art... I wish it was easier (and cheaper) to buy from across the pond but it will be worth it to get my paws on those sweet stencils/masks (I'm thinking Xmas present from my hubby).
The heat was a challenge! You have to work fast and use mire paint when it’s hot. Thanks for your kind words, he is my favorite! I hope you can get the whole collection!
Omg, Elizabeth, you are such a thorough and wonderful teacher! Thank you for sharing your gift! I am so inspired and glad I've finally found a teacher! 😍
I learn so much from your videos, you are a great instructor. I am just starting with gel printing and appreciate your inclusion of basic principles along with making your amazing prints.
Elizabeth, I never fail to learn from you! Thank you! I took one of your PaperPaintings apple lesson in Orlando a couple of years back. It was fabulous and I wish you still lived in the area so I could take more lessons from you!
Gorgeous color combos! I picked up the whole Klimt collection from Joggles and I'm looking forward to using them. I got a roll of the rice paper that you recommend, and these patterns will work well window or door shade.
Elizabeth, I've had no luck at all with the rice paper (I know, smooth side down)...invariably the paper pulls off onto the gel plate. I'm using deli paper instead...But I just love the Klimt stencils. Thank you!!!
I tried doing a series of collage papers using these stencils and colors and I'm sorry to say that they turned out.... not great! I decided to break down (out my wallet) and purchase a whole bunch of Golden fluid paints. I was trying to use other brands that I had to thin down a bit and the results were not good! I'll try again when my new paints arrive and I'm sure that they will turn out beautifully!!!! Thanks so much for all of your videos! I have learned soo much from them and your books!
@@ElizabethStHilaire I'm doing more today using some paints I've had for awhile to get rid of them. I can't wait for my new Goldens to arrive!!! I AM new at the gel plate and the gel plate is new and is getting a lot of "skips" in color from the release of oils. I guess that will subside soon. I won't give up this process though. It's so much fun! I love playing with color!
That was a great video again, Thank you Elisabeth! Going to try and get those stencils too (I'm in Europe, but getting help from a friend in the US). And I was happily surprised to see you seem to be wearing a dress I also have. It's gorgeous!!
@@ElizabethStHilaire don't worry!! Really cool that you came back to it. And yes we both like colour, a lot!! People are telling me it's a bit too much pattern to have it on my trousers and in a shirt and I'm like: do you think that bothers me? 😂
@@jolienkrispijn First of all people should mind their own business and only say things if they have kind things to say. Didn’t our mothers teach us that if we didn’t have something nice to say we shouldn’t say anything at all? And, no we don’t care what anyone else thinks. Beautiful, as usual. You said the golden colors are opaque, but did you mean that? The label has bars showing thru the color which usually indicates it’s transparent.

Dear Elizabeth. Waouw! ... but does there exist, please, a possibility to get those beautiful Klint masks (10 pieces) in/to Belgium? I adorrrrre them. Kisses from Brussels. 🧜♀️
Unfortunately we cannot sell them at all to any country in the EU due to tax and import requirements that are just too restrictive for a small family owned company with minimal employees to be able to manage. You can use a freight forwarder, and that information is on Joggles website under shipping information. I wish I had better news
I'm learning so much from you--thank you! Your technique here is so simple yet turns out so gorgeous. Question: I have a VERY limited space to work in, and am using only 5x7 gelli plates. Will your masks/stencils ever come out in a smaller size for smaller plates? For now, I'm off to buy some Golden copper...!
Thanks so much for your video tidbits! My pack of Klimt Stencils just arrived. Question - I ordered Golden paints and got the High Flow Acrylics vice the Fluid Acrylics. Will you (or someone) please tell me if the High Flow acrylics will work? I can't wait to get started!! Many thanks.
I love your videos! Thank you so much. At the risk of asking a silly question I am not understanding the difference between a mask and a stencil. I do understand in principle, but, it seems that the designs you are using could be categorized as either one. Could you take moment and explain the difference? Thank you kindly.

Loved this! What is the difference between a stencil and a mask?
In a stencil the pattern is formed by the cut out spaces. In a mask the pattern is formed by the plastic itself. Negative versus positive!
Fantastic tutorial, as always! When applying water to the rice paper to make the paint soak through - do you do that after the paint layer dries?
Thanks! The front is dry immediately when gel printing.
Beautiful, as usual. You said the golden colors are opaque, but did you mean that? The label has bars showing thru the color which usually indicates it’s transparent.
Some are opaque, others are not.

High flow are VERY wet and tend to ooze under the stencils. I think they will frustrate you.

They are only sold by Joggles.com Not Amazon. And they will not shipped to the EU because of the VAT tax

No worries Debora, a MASK the design is formed by the plastic. A STENCIL the design is formed by the holes cut in the plastic. it's that simple!
