Thank you for watching my video, I appreciate the support .
This reminds me of back when ETCG was just starting out-
and moved his channel out of that tiny, dark garage.
Your hard work is paying off, the new surroundings,
the nice view out front, even the sky is brighter!
I so wish you & your Family all the prosperity possible. 😁
Thank you! Hopefully I don't get too many turd cars here in this garage lol
Yes I agree Johnathan , once a year is ideal so easy to do and we'll worth the time and money. 👍
Once a year should keep a steady supply of good antifreeze flowing 👍 Thanks for stopping by Steve. I'm finally part of the in crowd with the cub cadet riding mower we just picked up for the new house . 😁👍
@@themechanic6117 Awesome , new house is awesome too.
I didn’t read all the comments. At seven years your actually right on according to my 2014 service guide. It has 105,000 miles or 7 years. What ever comes first.
Time for maintenance 👍
I did my antifreeze flush/refill on my 13 altima a few months ago.
Great video! I see you start adding music and effects to your video now! It's awesome!
Thanks for noticing, I'm trying to bump up the quality of the videos 👍
@@themechanic6117 keep it up man. I learnt a lot from your channel. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you 👍appreciate you watching
Thanks so much for the vid. Did this last weekend on our blue 14 nissan versa note. About 3 quarts came out and our overflow tank was completely empty as well. Car has 93k miles and it was never done once. Filled up radiator and overflow tank with one Walmart brand blue coolant jug, for 12 bucks only and about 30-45 min of our time, we plan on doing this every oil change so we can ensure that we flush out all the coolant eventually. Thanks again !!!!
Nice job! 👍 glad the video helped you
I absolutely love my no spill funnel. One of the most helpful tools and they aren't even expensive. I also love the Chernobyl show
That's why I have two of them. Once I saw the clear version I had to pick up another funnel lol
I love how you left the protective plastic film on the hood pull :) I thought I was the only one who did that.
Lol nice! Just makes me feel like the car is still relatively new 😁
I just drained out all of the fluids yesterday and took out the rad. Scared myself when I was disconnecting the ac pipe lol. 😳 Did not see that coming. Good opportunity to clean out the whole rad.
Why did you disconnect AC lines to do a radiator service?
I'm not sure ramps are safer. Years ago I had a vehicle on ramps, and I did a trans fluid change. I chocked the wheels, and did the procedure. While lying underneath, I accidentally bumped the shift lever as I was removing the pan. I saw the entire vehicle shift as it was bumped into neutral. Then I realized it could have easily lurched right off the ramps. I also had trouble with my ramps sliding forward on a smooth garage floor as I drove up. Overall after those experiences I threw the ramps away, jackstands are better.
I've had both of those problems before. The ramps sliding and the car moving while under it. Definitely a scary experience. Accidents happen, ramps aren't without their faults but I'd say for the most part ramps are safer. If I put myself in the shoes of a person who's never worked on a car and is watching my video ,I'm sure I'd find the ramps much easier to deal with. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I always use ramps. Especially when changing oil.
Need to keep practicing. Make sure the ramps are wide enough, and tires straightened out. The metal ones suck. If you don’t have the tires completely on the ramps, that’s also a reason why that might have happened.
Great instructional video, I did notice though your garage was very tidy 😂 .
Thank you, I'm trying to keep it cleaner than my old garage lol
Отличное видео. Полностью разжевал процесс замены 👍🤝
Thanks a lot for this, its really a big help for me. I hope you will have the video of changing brake fluid for your Versa Note soon.
best mechanic ever
Thank you 💪
Thumbs up Jonathan!
Thank you👍
Topman.... easy instructions as always 👍👍👍 regards from Dublin City Ireland 🇮🇪
Thanks for watching! 👍
I've a Nissan Cube z12 Japanese Domestic Market model and looks identical to Versa Note 👍
I don't see many of those cars. Those are the nissans that look more like a box right?
Yeah that's the one but mechanics wise it's the same as your Note 👍👍
I actually need to do a coolant change so thanks fella 👍👍👍👍
Nice video, great job. I subscribed to your channel. I have 2018 Versa Note SV myself, and I can't wait to see more on Verza Note maintenance. God bless 🙏
Hey Jonathan, I always follow your tutorials video specially on your Nissan Versa note..wonder if soon you make video of how to replace variable camshaft timing (VCT) thanks in advance.
I'll look into that, thanks for the recommendation
thanks for the vid and showing where the drain plug is for my 2015 Versa Note. I think you may have removed all of the transmission oil lines around that area because it was completely in the way of easy access. I know the design had good intentions but what a PITA unless you had hobbit hands sheesh. Thanks again and great work!
My car is not automatic, so yours may be slightly different with transmission lines if it is.
@@themechanic6117 ah that makes sense. You made the right decision to NOT get CVT!
Manual transmission forever!! Lol
What size hose is that?
Spread the word! New local new customers!
I'm definitely trying to get new customers 👍
Thank you. Nice video and very well said. God bless 🙏
Thank you
All you need now is the lift , and your good to go.. must be nice to have work space around the vehicle and some new customers…or your going to have to make some more versa and CRX videos Lol. 😂😝
I'll definitely be making more versa and crx videos . I'm not sure I have enough space for a lift here. Maybe if I take the crx out the garage lol. It's really nice to have actual work space .
Please do trans fluid and filter.
Thanks again buddy.
Good video very informative thank u sir
Sometimes, it's the little things in life that make the most amount of difference..
Nic, great video.. just would like to know which brand of code scanner would you recommend for diy. I see a lot on Amazon but don't know if they are applicable
for North America. thanks
Are you looking for just a basic code scanner? If so pretty much any scanner you'll find on ebay or Amazon will do the trick. They start to get expensive when you want to fancy features for actually diagnosing problems.
@@themechanic6117 thanks for the reply, looking an upgrade to one that does abs, tpm and trans modules. Yes, they get expensive.
Yes the bluedriver is probably the best bang for your buck
@@themechanic6117 Thanks,
Thank you sir👍
Thanks for watching
thanks
Nice new space. Maybe you said something before, but youre gonna keep on with the vids, right ? Repairs or just mods, like the CRX ?
Thank you. Yes I'll continue to make videos. Most of the videos will be on our personal cars (versa / altima / crx / f150), but ill still bring you guys along for customers cars when I get the opportunity
@@themechanic6117 Right on.
I need to do this on my Tundra
Get it done. It felt good to do maintenance on my own car.
Would this be the same process for a 2014 Nissan versa note???
Yes it should be the same .
another video shows adding collant in the overflow tank and was told NOT to pour collant in radiator tank
If the engine is hot only add to over flow tank . If you're doing any type of maintenance always fill the Radiator first
Why didn't you use the radiator drain fitting located at the bottom of the radiator?
Did you even watch the video?
Is it okay to use peak 50/50 prediluted coolant? I have a 2014 versa note sv
Yes as long as its the correct type of coolant. 50/50 is what you want to use
what’s the inside diameter for the rubber tube?
Did you ever find out the size?
@@armandodeleon1449 5/16ths (0.31 in) which is 8mm
Hey I was wondering if this would also work on a Nissan Versa SV 2017
Yes it should be very similar or exactly the same
@@themechanic6117 thank you very much 💯
Wow, you actually didn't have to work on junk.
Finally lol . Plus it feels good to actually get some work done to my car
How much did you drain at the beginning ?
About 1 gallon. Repeat this process more than once if you want to get most of the fluid out .
Than u very much
You're welcome
Wait did i miss a video??? New shop, did you move?
Yeah I did lol. Check out my last video with the crx 👍
@@themechanic6117 Will do!
How many bottles of coolant do you need for the drain and fill for the versa?
I think I used just one gallon
@@themechanic6117 sweet thanks!👍 Just as a heads up Amazon has the Blue Zerex coolant for only $17 I just ordered some I'm working on my brother's Nissan I looked at the ingredients for the blue coolant and it's exactly the same as the OEM Toyota pink coolant just "pink" in color but they use the same (Poat coolant)
Hi. I'm new to cars and have a 2023 nissan versa s. I only got the car exactly 3 months ago and the level is already at the min line or possibly riiight below (hard to tell). Is it normal to go down like that so soon? and should I panic and add some asap? Thanks.
If it's under warranty just take it back to the dealer with what you found
I have a 2016 versa note with 81000kl and I've been advised to change my cvt fluid. What's your opinion 🤔.
Yes ,I'd change that fluid asap
@@themechanic6117. Next Thursday morning at Mr. Transmission. Up here in St Thomas Ontario Canada. They suggest every 40000kl.
Thanks for your reply. I watch you all the time.
On our altima I change the cvt fluid every 60k . As long as they don't charge alot for labor there's no harm in doing it every 40k
I appreciate you watching
Which coolant you recommend for my nissan versa note 2014?
Blue Asian coolant
Thanks a lot ! For the quick response too
…..wait thats the overflow tank……. I feel so dumb oh my god
catch me putting coolant in there like im doing a good job 😂
Coolant not antifreeze.... lol
The bottle itself literally says "antifreeze/ coolant" ....we're both right 😁👍
@@themechanic6117 nice which coolant u use?
Gods u guys please don't forget to bleed your brake fluid. 😳 Don't ask me how I know.
Did you open the brake lines while doing a brake job ?
Why wait an hour for coolant to go in your radiator? Your overflow coolant reservoir take care of it and you just need to top that off afterwards.
It doesn't take a hour, on a normal customers car I just fill it up and add to the overflow, that will take care of it like you said. For my car that's sitting here in my garage. I'll let it sit for a while so I can fully top it off, there's no rush on my personal cars .
