    It always cracks me up when people think it's not that expensive to feed them lol I appreciate the attention to detail that you give us from the breeding to feeding 😉

    I love the one with the bone shape on his or her head! In the baby's tank.

    They’re just hungry, I’ve noticed this before I have some that keep spitting until they are completely full. Half belly of food, they’ll still spit. They’ll try to spit to get food on the other side of the divider. Either increase amount you’re feeding or frequency. Cheers!

    I dont think we give credit to them enough for the intelligence they do have. Poor little things were starving lol. I thought it was great to see them trying to get your attention for food.

    I don't think it was a bust. They definitely spit just not as far as you had hoped.

    Oh come on Kevin! Why did you have to curse me with this video!
    Watched it and a few days later my female BDTi starts spitting too! And I swear she's never done it before!
    From what I can tell it's 100% correct. They do it when they're hungry. Mine does it every evening now before I'm feeding and after a good feeding, she's super chill.

    Hint. To teach them to do a natural behavior when you want them to do it, you need to reward them as soon as you get the behavior successfully initiated. You teased them, they responded, they kept spitting, but there was no reward. You waited until they stopped spitting, and you gave up. I'm sure you fed them, just not soon enough. Reward asap you see the behavior you are wanting them to perform. See if that doesn't help.

    • @julieenslow5915
      @julieenslow5915 4 роки тому

      Reward immediately so they associate the reward with the behavior. They don't have great memories. Once they connect reward with behavior they will start trying to do it more and better - that's when you will get them spitting distances! LOL

      Once I feed them they stop spitting.

      Reward means a little bit of food. Then wait. When they do it again, reward at the same level ASAP. Then wait. If they get full enough they don't want to do the behavior, wait until next feeding. Rinse, lather, repeat

    I’m am curious if the spitting comes from them trying to dislodge prey items from within the substrate or between rocks etc. I have no real idea I am just spitballing lol 😂😂😂
