Great stuff, guys. I'll push back a little on Loki on t1 Arishem. That extra energy and playing your deck better than you can is still a thing, depending on the deck you run, ofc.
Loki on 1 isn't free though. The Arishem player is committing to a specific line likely without knowing anything about your deck. If you're playing a fragile combo deck, the turn 1 Loki can absolutely wreck the Arishem player's chances. Even if you're playing a generic "good cards" deck, the lack of draw is not nothing. They get to draw 5 of your cards, if they draw all of your low curve then the cost reduction and extra energy is meaningless. Definitely feels more balanced to play into than before.
The nerfs to Loki were small because it was middling in lower ranks even though people in Infinite were having success. Only when Loki was "nerfed" to no longer change your hand combined with Arishem's debut is when Loki was beasting at all ranks. That's probably why they finally had to nerf it hard.
There are enough counters to madam web that if she does take over the meta, she can be countered (kingpin, rogue, a good predictive echo, etc.), but the problem is that those counters are much less useful against other decks. Also, a madam web prof x deck is slightly terrifying.
Zabu or psylocke on turn 2 , wong turn 3 , on turn 4 play this order on wong sable scorpion and then Selene. Turn 5 play grand master on wong and black widow solo in middle lane. Turn 6 play your high evo, abomination , havok, that's the deck mainly I made
I'm an ice man black widow grandmaster abs man gamer in my dark hawk shells. Rock slide is only good if he is actively stopping the draw just swap him for widow and get to the point of generating hand tension instead of hoping it comes off of the rocks. Sure your dark hawk is smaller but your making peoples bad hands worse every time with this setup instead of the rocks I still have a korg bc it is splashable and enables a thena Angela kitty package. The rock package truly is the most in your face thing when you see a card like dark hawk but the question dark hawk is asking you is not how big can you make my power it is how can you balance making me powerful and also meaningfully disrupting my opponent. If your disruption is only 50/50 every game there is a lot of room for error.
Following 10 seconds of silence…Loki dead…so who gets his Arishem slot..? That’s why we did the silence right?? Cause he’s cut from Arishem yeah?? So he takes his slot?!
When take a staple to the woodshed it is their version of set rotation - so we get a new metagame and that allows everything to feel fresh - one card can mean as much as binning a “set” When it is strong enough due to the small deck sizes
SD: u can't say no to Jeff Jeff future buff: Let jeff enter the lane as the 5th card so u can't say no to jeff even with clog Actually what if SD made a 5th card as 0/0, u can put anything in place of this card... Will it be a war machine too?
Getting a whole lane clogged on turn 3 or 4 with White Widow + Acid Arrow is some of the least fun ive had in snap. Green Golibn + Titania is a bit situational at least, Kate and Widow are just great generic cards.
18:03 red guardian seems like a massive counter to madam web and move card in general. Another thing you didn’t mention is I’m worried move decks can evole to include alioth
I'd almost like to see Professor X's ability inverted. "Cards cannot move in or out of this location." Or "Cards at this location cannot move". So the location can still be played at, but move is restricted
Look, I've hated Prof X's effect since day one, but if they made this change, who is even playing this card then? I mean sure, it would be useful if move is ever the top meta deck, but even then a 5/2 tech card that has such a limited ability sounds pretty trash compared to a Shang or Shadow King.
I wonder if a way to tune in Rockslide to feel better would be to keep the power but add 3 rocks. If it was too strong you could also adjust Darkhawk down a little just because of doubling effects and such.
Right now, I am of the opinion that the best SSM deck might be just good cards plus the finisher of SSM-Black Panther-Arnim Zola. Like use his flexibility as a build your own vision or 2nd white widow if you need, and if you think your opponent doesn’t have the tech, you slam a 100+ point combo on them.
I have been using SSM - I keep thinking about throwing iceman in for nightcrawler - however with so much clog moving nightcrawler around can win you some games - also snapping into their magic is nice because it does more for you than them if you hit your armin Odin combo What did you change out from the standard SSM?
@@paulakroy2635 true. But I’ve been able to moderately deal with it using the other other cards in the deck. Tempted to change the build to fit killmonger though
@@paulakroy2635 sometimes if I see them playing clog I just play one mover - then if you have to namora you can still get off your buffs - it is still a lot of retreating and crushing the bots - I played this from 73-95 so far - although agreed clog is super annoying, although just a one cube loss It isn’t ideal, however with all the movers you have some ways
Yeah i just think you ve nothing to talk about so you re over reacting to this 2/1 card that will join an entire archetype that never really existed before in the game.
First of all it does see some play. Second it does 3 things for move packages that really make it scary. Move decks are strong but complicated in sequencing this simplifies the sequencing. It makes mind games easier to threaten against opponents. Finally it helps to reduce the amount of space needed on board to activate move effects (ghost spider, and doctor strange needing 2 spots available at a location to be a good play). Finally the last thing I want to mention is that this doesn’t only have to be used in move decks I want to play around with control (storm, goose, prof x, abs man?) to lockdown locations then slide cards into them to win. I think especially assuming this card lets you choose where to move and what to move it will be nuts.

Wasn't space stone changed because the ability to move cards from a location was too strong with Lockjaw? Lol what are we doing here?
Is that a kenji reference? I do love cooking!!
Yeah my opinion is Arishem is now similar to old Zabu. He is a four drop based midrange kind of deck
Loki: 3-2 and draw a card.
Arishem: 7-10 // Remove 6 cards from your deck, replace them with 12 random cards.
Quit nerfing Arishem, he's fine as is 😭

Tech cards against move could also target Madame Web. You’re likely killing it with Rogue or Red Guardian on Turn 3.

Solid points on darkhawk deck been using it to climb got to 96 but I love the new HIPP rockslide 🪨 variant just can be hard to match points
