I would also advocate win-rate tracking for the "play to win" mentality. Either with a deck tracker, spreadsheet, or piece of paper, keeping track of your wins rate will help ease tilting and provide a clearer picture of your performance. The best CCG players in the world, doesn't matter the game, have between a 55-60% win rate. That means even if you are the best player on the planet, you will still lose 4 of your 10 games. It makes it a lot easier to shrug a loss off as "Eh, that was one of my 4".
I think its hard to approach an activity where you lose almost half the time without the expectation that you are supposed to be performing at that level.
I'm currently in the top 5-6k infinite and trying to work my way up higher, and the discourse about tilting, playing to win, and being honest about the mistakes you make have been great. It's honestly nice just hearing that some of the top players in the world still misplay and need to evaluate what they did after games.
I like a lot of Marvel Snap content from a number of creators, but I feel like the most valuable information I get on how to be a better player consistently comes from the two of you. Keep up the Great work!
What deck have you had the most succes with?

Just hit infinite today just wanted to say thank you. I was desperate and tilled the last couple of days trying to break into infinite coming close with loki but dropping back down after a few loses. I changed my approach and used the meta zoo deck with tech like cosmo and alioth and ranked up easily 🙏🏾
With hela, all that really needs to be run is Luke cage to replace one card and then I feel as if the deck is the exact same as before.
She doesn’t really even need cage. Your wasting a slot to save 6 power on a 40 power play
Agree with this. They should also be decreasing her base power by 3-4
I am curious about both of your thoughts on mobile versus PC. I find myself being much more mindful of my play when I am on my PC than when I am on my phone. I feel it focuses me.
Is that because you’re using the tracker while on pc?
Hela got a tiny slap on the wrist powerwise but also got a buff with her only real counter in Prof X being unplayable trash now so ultimately Hela got a better position in the meta because now we have nothing real to counter her.
Eh, now you can realistically go bigger than her. Also if she's ever a problem they can affect the negative affliction further
Goose, Cosmo, Mystique on either of those, Alioth, Leech, Storm into Legion, etc. There's plenty of counters to Hela.
Why is her base power still so high? 6/2 or 6/3 with the power reduction to the cards revived seems more reasonable..
@@Michelangebro goose doesn't really counter Hela.. they will just play in the other two lanes.
Cosmo is a 1/3 in most cases and only works if you have priority.
Playing both of these really decreases your ability to win lanes with points
@@skitrilBecause when you're dropping 80+ power on the boars with your On Reveal effect, shaving 2 points off her base power will do nothing to tame her.

So happy to play phoenix force again. Feels like people forgot how to play against since I gained like 200 snap points in top 3k.
Though it wouldn’t affect the modok hela , but if they can do cards discarded cards lose two power every turn after being discarded , it would hit the timings in other ways . Not a perfect solution but can add to it .
I will stubbornly keep playing Prof X. I combo him with Kingpin so that people don't want to just move cards into the location. But I also like to use other control cards.. Like Stegron. Plus I can Grand Master the Stegron and knock their cards out of my middle lane Prof X.
There are interesting prof x move deck possibilities, just trying to nail down the best 12.
The only ppl I've seen say sersi is bad is Cozy and Alex Coccia.

Destroy is REALLY strong in this meta.
The Hela nerf does nothing to her. She’s going to be a meta tyrant again once people start playing her. I really hope SD is quick to turn that new dial
While I think they killed Alioth (Seriously how many do you see out in the wild other than that deck that has galactus, destroyer, knull, ultron) I think prof x is even more dead. (I think most people are celebrating) 5/2 to me is worst storm.
Also not touched but now the the strat is dead the cannonball nerf seemed unneeded.
I'm not really using Red Hulk anymore. Shang Chi has returned lol
I love using Sersi
As a f2p prof x cannonball was the only deck I could make that was remotely competitive. I’m just getting stomped every with whatever deck I try.
No nocturne, no Loki, no ahnilius, no sersi, no hope summers, no thanos, no Gilgamesh, no shaw, no jean grey, no x23, no knull, no phoenix force,
So what exactly am I supposed to play….
Game is not winnable for me anymore.

I played 2hrs of hela tribe(the only fun one imo) on Friday, and it feels so bad now.
Good! The Hela being played the better. Unfortunately that’s the only version of the deck this “nerf” affected

I think Hela should have been a -1 instead of a -2. The game now lacks a cheap deck that can seriously compete.
She should’ve started as a -4, it still would’ve been competitive

The Hela hate is cringe. They nerfed her - she can win. Losing to Hela is a skill issue
Balancing for "fun" instead of power is a trash philosophy for losers who think that their idea of fun is more correct/valid/fun than everyone else's. Statistical outliers should be the *only* metric worth balancing over.

Hot Take: Sersi should not trigger On Reveal abilities of cards she upgrades to. I think she would be FAR better.

the other day sersi lost me a game by turning my hood into beast on turn 6 and then i was mad, but yeah 2/3 - 3/4 of the time she's upside and thus is a good card, ppl (myself included) tend to remember more the bad than the good, like i won many games with sersi but i couldn't rly tell you on top of my head what she turned into what when she won me the game where the beast example i used is vivid in my memory right now.

Staying against Hela when you are dead was one of her high points, I feel like this nerf actually buffs that aspect, not sure it was enough to get rid of her.

Idk if Ota is good yet. I'm playing Prof x in annihilus with lds, and it's just able to handle every situation. Also, annihilus prof just sounds cancerous to boot...
Lost me with the 'play to win' segment. This is not a game to play competitively at all. This game plays us more than we play it (World Forge anyone?). Play to kill time and enjoy your fav cards. F the ladder.
I mean your perfectly valid in having that opinion but saying u shouldn't play this game competitively at all is silly

They are not advocating playing to win is the ONLY approach to the game. Their main point is if someone SAYS they only care about playing fun decks, they should adjust their mentality to not be too upset with the decks' low win rate. If they care a lot about win rate, then they will be better off to be honest about it and choose meta decks / find their subjective sweet spot between win rate and fun.
@@showdowns1917 Just trying to help you become a happier person. Because it's obvious how happy you are with your reply. The "competitive" part of the game is getting the wrong rise out of you. It makes you angry. Play for fun, drop the toxic emotes, and life gets better.
