Another couple questions we need answered about activate are, 1) Are they coded as On-Reveals so Cosmo/Locations would nullify them? 2) If not, will anything get a text update to be able to interact with Activate abilities? Otherwise there is no way to directly counter Activate abilities which could be a problem.
The solution to High Evo is fix the vanilla cards to accurately reflect the base power at each of the energy levels. The fact there are 1/2 2/3 3/5 4/6 5/9 6/12 with upside means the vanilla cards are too weak. I think all the cards could take a point of power.
Activate definitely sounds like an interesting new mechanic. Km's Galactus idea sounds like it's definitely worth at least trying 😅 I also wonder if activate suggests the option to re activate multiple times
I played Phastos in my Thanos deck because the Stones give you extra draws. Instead of 3 cards from Phastos buff you can be lucky and draw like 7 I was extremely lucky in my first 7 games I had Phastos on turn 3 like five times but he felt decent in that deck. Slamming a 4/6 Kazaar into a 2/11 Mockingbird was fun lol
I think it makes the deck slightly worse because you have to give up a card that could win you the endgame to include a not that impactful card for only being playable on t3
I love the idea of Evo adding plus one power for each evolved card in play. I also think they should revert the nerfs to Wasp, Thing and Cyclops. Lastly they should more cards that add to the genre i.e. no powers.
Activate theory; Perhaps they will add a new ‘game phase’ be it before or after the turn plays out. And both players will have the option to Activate during this game period each turn. This would alleviate the 6cost card issue by having the ability to activate in the same turn they were played. Just what came to mind whilst pondering. Love the chats Boys cheers.
I grew to appreciate this channel and I obviously enjoy playing the game. So much so that when I wake up all I could think is what deck should I be playing, or how can I replace Nocturne or Cannonball on some decks I see. Don't get me wrong I still put down my phone to spend time with my kids and wife, but during those moments I sometimes find myself counting the minutes when I could play again. Unknowingly I've grown too attached to this game that even when I'm not playing, the content I consume still revolves around it such as watching creators on youtube/twitch, following threads on reddit/discord. I would say I got addicted with the game. The good news is that there is someone whose love for me is even greater than my addiction - Jesus Christ. He reminded me that He died so I may live a life free from any poison of this world, that I have better things to do in my life than spending my brain power on a game that doesnt care about me whether I die today or not. That He as our shepherd , He provides us all we need, and lets us rest on green pasture (Psalms 23:1-3). My prayer goes to anyone who is going through the same struggles that I had, those that recognize the void in our hearts that we try to fill in with games, social media, digital content; those who chase the next dopamine hit. May you hear Jesus our saviour, calling you back to him. Because in Him we can find joy that is complete and overflowing (John 15:11)
I agree with your take on High Evo. I was one of the players to get him on day one with the tokens I earned over a month in anticipation.... I haven't played him as much as I wanted to because at first it was just too mirror matchy. It was a pain. So I played anti-Evo decks. Then overtime I just preferred other stuff. Anytime I try him now, it just doesn't compete. Red Hulk IS A PROBLEM! No card should be able to beat Evo Hulk when Evo Hulk takes a much bigger sacrifice. Why does Red Hulk gain more power when it doesn't require an enabler card? In my opinion, Red Hulk should be a non-ability card, that is honestly just 6/13. It doesn't grow, but it starts off better than the base Hulk. OR it could be a 6/9 and only gain 1 power per turn. After that they need to revert the High Evo card changes, like Wasp and Thing. And give High Even a 7 power statline. If people want to counter High Evo, they can use Luke Cage.
Tried High EVO still didn’t want to play the card EVO. I like EVO at 4/7 and Wasp needs to hit 2 targets to reliably get Abom out. That should be enough I’d rather have that than 5/10 Abom
Luckly move decks are way more skillfull than hela decks so exept if they are gonna be really really good maybe they wont be too popular and so toxic (till september)
Come on km. You have played enough card games. You can insert enough tech cards to draw as consistently as your opponent drawing darkhawk. The answer is 3 and assumes Arishem doesn't generate a duplicate. The issue is do any of us want to spend 3 slots to dedicated tech? Not if that tech doesn't hit enough other decks running around.

I would never have gotten infinite in my 3rd - 5th season without playing High Evo.
My first full season playing (came in the middle of miss marvel season) EVO got me to infinite
The difference between Pixie and Phastos is night and day, Pixie is exponentially more valuable.

Maybe “Activate” is like an on-reveal that triggers when a condition is met? So you play on top of the activate card and something happens
