You are a first-year teacher on probation and you have no better sense than to use social media to criticize your superiors? You deserve to be fired.
As an Educator myself, its not about her teaching, this is a job like various other jobs, there are policies with Social Media and you signed an agreement to adhere to those policies. She is probably an amazing teacher, but this generation takes everything piece of their life to social media and you cant do that in some professions. I hope this doesnt keep her from educating children, but more of a lesson on adhering to policies
Policy over humanity right?
Just give into it?
@@AmericanHoney2024 'freedom' begins with self employment ..
@@libiure meaning?
@@AmericanHoney2024 are you saying that a fundamental part of "humanity" is being able to post your entire life, every single thought and opinion, including those about your place of employment, online to social media? Wow!
@@libiure ha freedom begins with a sacrifice so that those here can complain and have UA-cam degree.
Opportunity/a privilege is working, education, having the ability to be self employed etc 😉 😉
I remember an elementary school. Public mind you.
That allowed teachers that loved to teach a lot of freedom to teach the expected basics however they wanted and it was wonderful!
How Fox 7 decided to cover this story? They are no longer conservatives on these issues. You may think she's a victim but a big NO NO.
They like gossip nowadays. This is definitely NOT newsworthy.
The local Fox channels are not the same conservative propaganda machines as Fox News.
All they did was state the facts, and let the teacher have her say. There was no editorial given. The way news should be. Allow you to make up your own mind..
You felt disrespected??? You let your kids sit for the pledge of allegiance! SMH
She deserved to get fired
What about the disrespect allowing her students to sit for the Pledge.
She may have had some valid points but you air your grievances in public against your boss, you're gonna get canned unless your union backs you.
Going against policy is grounds for dismissal. She’s not running her own school. She has dozens of supportive staff, peers and superiors that run an efficient system and count on her cooperation and attention to the rules. She wants to buck the system and practice “free speech” then she pays the consequences. A bad employee is a bad employee, period.
What was she thinking?!
People like this don't need to be teaching kids.
Not allowing teachers on Tik Tok sounds like good policy to me.
Not allowing "TikTok" to EVEN exist IS a policy that SHOULD BE MANDATED.
@RyanCunningham-tw4wd You still don’t get it. Do you have children?
Be still and pray.
Some of the most powerful words in the Bible.
Sitting down while saying the Pledge of Allegiance is like wearing sweatpants to your best friend's wedding. It says you no longer care about anything but what's on your phone.
@RyanCunningham-tw4wd Are you sure about that? Because from where I'm standing it says you're not exercising anything, you're just being a lazy, disrespectful fool.
It is the Constitutional right of these students to sit.
@@Lynn-r8h You confuse having the right with being the right thing to do. In fact, that mentality does not build a cohesive society. You have the right to stand by while someone is being murdered. Does that mean you should do it?
@@vladimirputindreadlockrast7725 I’m not confused. I know the law. It is not illegal to sit during the Pledge. It is illegal to murder. That you bring up the worst case scenario as a comparison is bizarre. It is a violation of the students’ legal rights to force them to stand and/or participate in the Pledge. If she was telling them to sit or not participate, then that is equally a violation of the students’ civil rights.
@@Lynn-r8h Again, you're confused about having a right, and using the right. Example: Knowing that a tomato is a fruit shows intelligence. Knowing not to put it in a fruit salad is wisdom. If you can't stand for our Pledge of Allegiance, it does show a lack of respect for the very country that gave you the freedom not to stand. Not sure where you think is better.
If she wasnt unemployable before, she sure is now. First year teacher must learn to follow rules.
That's what you get it sucks to be all about yourself😂😂
She signed a contract. She broke it. Bye.
She deserved to get fired. Don't rant on social media about your students, job, or boss. Freedom of speech doesn't protect you from losing your job. She also seems nutty to me amd I don't think I would want my kids in her class.
Not a teacher. She only cares about her views and opinions. She doesn't care about her students' education.
Going on social media to dis your boss and whine about your job. Who would have thought that might have consequences? She doesn't deserve to be teaching impressionable children.
She is not a teacher. She is an activist.
You violated the social media policy of AISD....the end
There are many things I don’t like about my employer and I’d love to tell the world what I really think about them but I need to eat and pay rent. I’ve been there a long time and have great healthcare benefits. No job is perfect. I can’t imagine going online and ranting negative things about the place I work for and expect nothing to happen to me. This is called being an adult
That’s obvious…you got to read policy
She allowed her class to sit during the Pledge of Allegiance? Keep her from teaching
One cannot force students to participate or stand during the Pledge. It is the students’ constitutional rights not to participate.
People need to stay off social media and take their jobs more seriously
She says at the end she was the only teacher advocating her agenda at a hearing. MAYBE that should have told her SHE is the problem.
First of all that's the problem who is a grown adult woman making tick tock I can see a child a teen but s woman venting on a social app is ridiculous this is the new generation teaching our kids stupid people. Glad you got fired
How a self centered, self entitled, narcissistic personality type could have been hired, to begin with, should lead to HR being held accountable to some extent.
It’s a good thing she gave them ammo to fire her because she is TROUBLE. Good riddance!
Good you should be fired. You knew the rules.
Ladies and Gentlemen, you’ve just witnessed the birth of a new Flight Attendant. Great…….
And, if she becomes one, she'll probably make a lot more. I quit teaching and am now making 3 times what I made before -- in short period of time. Over $100k now.
If a teacher uses tik tok, ur not learning anything😂😂😂
This woman needs to learn to keep that mouth a bit more quiet and that everything that crosses your mind, does not need to be voiced.
Since when do teachers get fired? She was probably transferred. These things constantly get misreported as terminations. Usually, they're getting paid to take phone calls or make copies in the district office or something
Man, I hate tik tok. The platform for a lot of whiners! Plus, you shat on your employer! That is a means of disciplinary action AT ALMOST EVERY JOB🤦♀️ People doing too much without consequences... that's wtf is wrong with our society today.
Her actions are not appropriate.
I just watched her last video. She was "crying" with not 1 tear. 👀
She's not even in the classroom for a full year but she thinks an expert on how schools should be run? If some newbie had bad mouthed me about doing my job I would have been angry also. School administrators have many more years of experience than a half year newbie. Maybe she should learn not to bad mouth her superiors.
She’s not an educator. She’s an activist!
Why is a 0 year teacher, who seems to have been on a growth plan, being asked about education policy?
wow she felt not supported by her administrator because she got told to try to repond to email a bit more promptly? I've heard way sadder stories of teachers actually being disregarded by administrators. She should NOT be in the capitol after only teaching for 1 year
Well, you violated policy. Go cry somewhere else.
Awww. Poor little millennial. 😢 grow up and realize that you can't go whine to the public about internal policies. Duh.
Gen Z for sure. Don't trash millennials. We are not that cuckoo. 😅
@@kdw94780 point taken yall... I'm a gen x''er... Every body runs together once they look like your kids!!! How embarrassing!

Your fired, this isn’t California or New York.
People better start doing something about our children being subjected these whackjob "influencers" in our schools... 💥
Kids sitting down for the pledge… Sad
Why is it sad? It’s brainwashing and bringing god into our public schools. Not to mention it’s not even the REAL and original pledge. The original is something I could stand for, not this religious bullshit
Her students “choosing” to sit during the pledge of allegiance. I’m sure her hate rhetoric for this country had nothing to do with it.
How do you know she had any hate rhetoric? You weren't in her class.
She's the one who "taught them their civil rights" which in liberal speak means telling them why they should hate cops and disrespect the flag. Third graders didn't suddenly stage a mass protest against standing and saying the pledge of allegiance.
How do you know? You weren't in her class?
Holy moly... consequences for your actions?... Who would have thought?
Herman Becker (1857-1933) operated a successful downtown café, and he bought part of the historic Bouldin homestead in south Austin in 1891. His son H.E. Becker and son-in-law P.A. Wilde, proprietors of the Becker Lumber Company, donated three acres of Bouldin land to the Austin Independent School District in 1935 for a new school site.

She is passionate about teaching, I hope that everything ends well for her.
Actually, she's just aggressively pushing her agenda, not teaching.
@@Jeanne90275 Well, how do you know that? That's not what it seems like to me.
If she has a union, thats where she should have went.
Why would you put this info on the internet. Its your private business.
In America, you are so Free you MUST stand up for the Pledge of Allegiance.
No, you don't. Us, Jehovah Witnesses don't have to stand up and do nothing. We're have immunity because the Jesus of North America came to us and said that we own this land.
Thus, we are the ones who America should be thankful for, because we are allowing the rest of Americans to live here. This land was ours before the Constitution was even written.
