Parkhurst Delaware. Same as the Richmond but with a brogue cap toe. Natural Double Shot leather from Seidel. One of my more comfortable pairs of boots.
That particular Grant Stone boot is a rather curious combination, the Garrison being the most formal or dressy of their styles, then paired with that casual sole. A bit of a mismatch in my view, like wearing sneakers with a suit.
White's MP's....I love mine. Pricey, but they're surprisingly comfortable...not Russel Moc's comfy, but I was amazed. Wish I could afford more! Not quite as formal as these though.
@@StrayReviews Amen to that. They do 20% sales a couple times a year. I asked for gift certificates for bday, and waitied for the sale. Still painful, but not $700 painful
A little off topic but many shoe conditioner products are used in human skin care products, both medicinal and cosmetic. Mink oil is used in some skin creams for example though they often don't make it obvious due to some people's reaction to the fur industry. To be honest you can use almost any oil or fat to condition leather, the only issue being that some may smell and become a little unpleasant over time. Inuits use seal or fish oil for example. Whereas human beings tend to wash our living skin so the product doesn't hang around for long enough. There's a lot of marketing BS around leather care now, similar to living skin care, with mention of "natural" products and even though I'm not immune and use a lot of the more expensive stuff on my boots and shoes, I'm reminded that one of the most popular skin care products in the world is Vaseline or Petroleum Jelly which is safe enough to use on babies skin and can also be used to condition leather.
I’m bias so I’ll go with the iron ranger just for that actual leather toe cap & being more versatile then their moc toe. I have experience with GS,RW & BS but not Pankhurst. Maybe when I get a bigger shoe rack I’ll give it a try but that means less other footwear will get wear. Honestly all 4 can fit the bill super casual RW, dresssy BS.
What’s your favorite cap-toe boot?

@@The_Other_Matt Natural Double Shot! Nice!
Truman hands down.
@@TheCrimsontwister I'm hearing that a lot. Going to have to give them some serious consideration.
I saw where Thursday has released a new model more like Truman and Red Wing.
Great round up man! (and I also love the The Richmond Waxy Commanders)
Thanks Jeff! They sure are some great boots!
I’d have Truman cap toes on the 79 last on the list IMO.
Trumans look fantastic. I'm hoping to pick up a pair one of these days.
I've got 6 pairs. What's the first thing I thought when I saw the video!
I have the Rancourt Byron in carolina brown CXL. It was like night and day difference in comfort vs my iron rangers.
Those look outstanding! I love the look of the natural CXL.
Great video, I love my Iron Rangers. But since getting my Truman they have taken over as my favorite cap-toe boot.
I’ve spent a lot of time drooling over those Trumans. They look amazing!

It's true, but I think that it works because of the rugged looking leather.

I really like the looks of the MPs. So hard to pull the trigger on those because the price is so steep.

If the Grant Stone boots weren't on a wedge, they'd be the clear winner in my book. Great review, as always.
Thanks so much! There are other Garrisons without the wedge sole, but not in waxed deer.
iron rangers are awesome boots, i've got two pairs and i love them.
For sure! I'd like to pick up a pair in Amber one of these days.

It’s true. I’ve actually used coconut oil (which I use on my skin) to condition my boots before.

For sure. Especially that Hawthorn Muleskinner.
