This is really nice to watch. Every other wood working channel has an entire workshop's worth of expensive power tools and equipment. I just want to see something I could make for a fraction of the price with hand tools.
Really like this video because so many videos make it look like experienced woodworkers go fast. This shows that you're taking a fair amount of time (and talking to the project)
As always, loved the hand tool work and the spice rack looks great. Possibly some scroll work on the cross bars holding the jars in, maybe with some carving just to give the rack a bit of spice (sorry couldn't help the pun). Great work on putting the video together as well.
Made one for a qualification here in the UK, then the supermarket we used made a more competitive 'own brand' that had bigger bottles. Oh well, it's now an ornament...
Absolutely awesome, such an underrated channel. If you're looking for futher ideas like this, a sliding version that could fit in the gap between cupboards would be awesome to see!
That was my original thought as well. But for my situation it was too tight of a fit. There was enough space for the dowels and still allow the cabinet door to open beside it.

I really liked the format of this video. Less talk, calming music, and great woodworking skills. Nice production 👌
That's the way all the videos in this channel are now coming out. The other channel is where I do all of the talking and teaching.

that is how we roll here. we do it the hard way.
Do you know what makes a chef nervous when cooking in the kitchen? When they run out of Thyme!
Love this project! Thanks for the videos! Blessing!

The wood was definitely seasoned enough for use
Loved the editing.
No changes because it's perfect.
Nice spice rack James. Love the sliding dovetails. Have a good week ahead.
For my spice rack I used a bent metal rod (about 3/16") to retain the bottles. You may find the wood retaining straps obstruct the bottle labels.
As always a great video. Even simple projects teach something new. Thanks.

I decided to buy my own bottles so I knew they would fit.
Very nice build. Thanks for sharing.
When working alone, always remember...
It's OK to talk to yourself, just don't answer.
Nice!!

I originally wanted to do that. But the gap between the cabinets and the wall for me is a little thinner than my spice bottles.
Amazing work, James! Really beautiful piece! 😃
I may have the space for something like that! Brilliant!
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I was thinking of dowels for the rails...

I have a request from you
A video about make tenon hole with a hand drill.. Please
Generally I use a chisel for that. But if it's a large mortise then I will bring out an auger bit to remove the most of the waste.

Anyone else notice the gigachad dual watch set up?
One is never enough!

It’s as if you’re in tune with my wife. She’s just asked me to build something like this.
I already shhub-scribed 😉, but thought I would leave a comment for engagement and to say thank you for the content & inspiration 👍

I used to be. But for some reason the membership fell through a year or so ago. Need to go re-up on that.
