2024 Mazda CX-50 Meridian Edition | Charting the Changes

- Опубліковано 24 кві 2024
- Mazda ventured into the rugged-looking SUV game last year with the CX-50 Meridian Edition and when I drove it, I discovered a more appealing and intriguing CX-5 but still not fully committed to the off-road life. For 2024, the CX-50 moves into its second year with minor tweaks.
MSRP as-tested: $44,005

That torsion beam rear suspension makes me think Mazda decided to cut corners.
Its supposed to be a better suspension for off road, try test driving one.I think you will find its so well done you wont even notice.I leased a Turbo Premium after turning in a CX-5 Signature. The CX-50 has a better ride.
torsion beam is quiter than irs (in their studies) and is less expensive to produce with nearly the same handling ability.
I was hoping to see Billie Joel or Don Henley's Eagles on the radio, but this Zircon Metallic Sand Storm paint more than makes up for it!
Major props to Steve for adding CGI snowflakes to the production! Very cinematic and festive! 🏆
Your reviews are top notch.
Always beautifully shot, nobody does it better, Steve! Kinda hope they'll offer this in a Signature trim as well.
🌞👍👍
Thanks, Ken!! Some snow was a lucky touch.
@@stevehammeswhen can you review the new traverse RS and Z71

@@stevehammes okay awesome can you ask the engineers about the new engine I would like to know the technical details and if it can cylinder deactivation to run on two cylinders like GM's 2.7 4-cylinder turbocharged engine
I really didn’t want to say anything but somebody smeared iguana poop all over the car….🦎
Crazy 45k plus tax n fees 49k that’s just crazy fir a compact suv
Get a Tucson xrt for 37k
Please I don’t wanna hear it Hyundai has come a long way with interior materials and styling
Yeah, but not their engines blowing up. Womp womp.
44 thousand and Five dollars??
AND FIVE!! Don't come up one Lincoln short, now!
Sadly, it is right in the crux of the average transaction price of vehicles in 2024. the avg price has jumped approx $15k in 4 years; craziness. I know MSRPs are higher, but is this also due to the more expensive EV offerings or the absurdly priced pickup truck?
Fix that infotainment Mazda.
it works fine unless you source hop constantly. once in AA/ACP most things are done through the wheel or voice. if you are constantly going btwn radio/sxm, usb, aa/acp, nav, radio/sxm...why? you are you complaining about the lack of touch screen while moving?
@@K03sport Yeah it works but the focal distance from your gauge cluster vs. the typical Mazda infotainment screen is way off. Also if you are in the passenger seat & you are right handed using the controller is odd. I personally don't use the touch screen when moving but i'm sure plenty do & having a controller & the touchscreen size / location is probably turning buyers away. Lexus is finally getting rid of the touchpad which I consider the worse possible interface. I'd take a controller over that.
