Took a class with Jedi, I can confirm the one on one time is amazing. He spends time with everyone in almost every topic. His class teaches you to eliminate the unnecessary and just do what works naturally.

Scott's understanding of, and explanations of, the body mechanics in shooting are a big part of why he's so good at teaching this. He's a smart, observant guy, with a great personality for teaching.
He walks what he talks, too. His draw & presentation are ultrafast and smooth, no wasted movement. His demonstrations always reinforce what he's talking about. Truly an awesome instructor.

Always appreciate videos like these from you, 1911 Syndicate and all the other guys. MSP/Jedi is definitely one of the best instructors out there and hopefully I can take a class from him and AJ soon. Best thing to take from this is, always remember the foundation. Just like a house, kickboxing, jiu-jitsu or any other sport, if your foundation is not solid and strong, it doesnt matter what knowledge you add on top of that. You will always have problems and bad habits.

I'm old enough to say at this point in my life, I've been trained in a few sports by top shelf coaches (in skiing & golf) before I started shooting a little over a year ago. I took MSP's 2-day RDS last August, AJ Zito was his 2d for the class.
Scott Jedlinski is the 2d best athletic movement instructor I've ever known, and the best living instructor.
AJ Zito is damned good too.

Coming froma Kungfu standpoint, Jedi is 100% correct. In the style I practice, Jedi basically repeats what was taught in our system (and frankly applies to nearly every other system), that no matter how physically fit or deficient you are, your form and structure are going to make or break whatever it is you are trying to accomplish. Small things will play a big part in how you manage, in this case, the recoil. I've been very fortunate to listen to some great teachers point this principle out and it's truly amazing how just a slight alteration to your body mechanics vastly changes your performance.
The devil is in the details.
But NEVER assume strength is a compensation for skill.

Thanks for the video. I coach rugby and I'm constantly looking for new ways (basic and advanced) to teach it. I coach from ages 8 through adults and one of the fundamentals we teach is LOOK (lol sounds obvious but most players don't always look: Look at the ball, look at offense, look at the defense, look at the tackler etc.). This eye/vision thing on this video has give me some good ideas.

Okay, so I have a question on stance. I do certain things left-handed and other things right handed. One of the things I do is shoot left-handed. My stance as it is now, I place my left foot forward. Should I have a stance with my right foot forward? Or does it matter or just what's comfortable and natural to me? Thank you in advance. Even ambidextrous people have a favored side. Which hand you favor them opposite should be forward. In the end once your body understands how it works exact stance matters less and less.

Really interesting video, I do have a question.
Picking a pro, What should I look for?
I live in a city of about 150,000 people, so I'm sure there are some local pros, but I could also travel maybe once or twice a year for a 3day someplace. Am I better off with a local I can see quite a bit, or someone at the top of the game that I'll only get to see once or twice? And how do I pick?
