Lazer features: Bloom and Max PP

However, there is clearly a difference in skill between you and him. If you choose a beatmap with a max pp that is much higher than his top play, he may find it difficult and give up easily. If you choose a beatmap that is much easier than his top play, he will get bored and quit the room.
And look, now that you can know the max pp of the map in advance, pick a map with a star rating that you both believe you can "read" and improve together. That's the core of max pp.
That's also the core thing I've realized in playing multiplayer for the past 2 years.
