Over the last few weeks you have seen me chasing fault code after fault code and replacing multiple parts some of which didn't need replacing,

Mine went intermittent. Give it a shake and re start. Be ok for a while. Have replaced it now, But they are dam expensive. Bought from VW van dealer at £190 pounds.
We are fault free and have been since replacing it so happy we got to the bottom of this

Same pump that went on mine last year on the way to big picnic I kept clearing the code till it stopped coming on to get there and then it did the same on the way home 😂 easy enough job to do great work mate 👍🏻
I didn't want to risk it failing on a big journey as it cools the EGR I didn't want a blown head gaskets again pal

Great job Som! I knew you would eventually find the culprit. I do have the same method of fixing my vehicles and sometimes I fix things proactively as well. One tip for o-rings and pipes in general, spray some silicone before install back. Slides like butter after that

Yeh it was muddy I dipped out on Sunday, I didn't feel too good, and the 5-hour drive home was free and easy

Hi Sam, another great video. I don't know how you do it all one handed, I'd get yourself a head torch and gopro so you've got both hands to work with. We didn't make the overlander show this year but look forward to catching up with you guys soon.
It's always a challenge. I've tried the gopro before ok when it works but a nightmare when it doesn't record

We got our bi-turbos replaced now - perhaps and hopefully that's the end of our pigtail woes as well.

I was watching your video yesterday I have a audio a6 I take it will be the same problem as you had

You wont believe what a small world it is, i have the same fault code on my Golf mk6 and yours was the top video. I'm gonna try this fix as can get the part quite cheap, however do you know if this would have anything to do with the P0102 code I'm getting as I've changed the MAF sensor and when I clear the code I still get the same fault code and glowplug light.

It's more than likely that you may have an issue with the connection. Is the MAF sensor an OEM part?
I'm really pleased that the van faults are all now fixed. Its been a painful slog for you to get the van right and you know I know what a soul destroying experience it can be thinking stuff is fixed only for the blasted fault to pop up to laugh in your face. Still, as they say, Perceverence ( and a bottomless wallet) pays dividends in the end. I am glad your van is fixed now. Mine has now become legendary in my family circle. It was my sister's secret birthday party yesterday and my cousin asked me how the van was doing (clearly a loaded question) and I fell for it- recounting all my woes....to which they all shouted "Its because its a vauxhall!!!" and then they laughed.....badum tish! lol even worse lol.... they then posted it as a comment on my facebook page-the little @£%!!! Anyway, always good to speak to you-hopefully one day in person at one of the meetups. Bessy regs-Kenny

I absolutely love the crafter as a van . But VW really need to sort the reliability issues. If you owned one as your own business. You would be bankrupted. By the costs .

Just watched other video where you had trouble finding fault with turbo and pigtails permanently coming on I am at same stage ready to torch the van with me in it
I have had Map sensor
Egr valve
Boost control solenoid all replaced at garage they road test for a week then hire the van out and pig tails appear followed by engine light then limp mode any suggestions please

All my issues came back to the vacuum pump have you replaced that?
If I ask them to replace it is it an expensive exercise
Do you know if the pump has a fuse or relay? I’m having the same issue and I’ve got a new pump on the way but thought I’d check this in the meantime

Hi Sam did you fit an original part as I had same problem on mine about a year ago, I fitted a new part from ebay and the light came back on. I sent the part back and replaced it with an original and it's been fine ever since
We fitted all oem parts I'm not making that mistake again mate 😁👍
Hiya did yours always stay on? I get this now again on my crafter especially after it rains I plug in and says no fault code found. If I turn the engine off and back on it dosent come back.

It was intermittent at first but then just stayed on all the time, so it had to be changed out 😁👍
