    Amazing great little layout! So much details, but no overloaded scenery. And: slow, realistic running trains! Thank you for showing!

    This is so pretty. Excellent job to get so much detail into such a tiny scale. It would be great if you zoomed out in the video so you can see how small it is.

      Thank you, I’ll try zooming out on future videos to show the overall size (which is 2’x4’).

      Thank you. Yes, you can fit a lot of railroad in a small space with T gauge. This, as well as my other T gauge layouts are only 2’x4’.

    Great layout mate, this is the best T gauge layout I've ever seen, and I've seen them all on UA-cam. One thing I was going to say, was the track joiners but I think you brought it up as I was writing this, anyway I'd get a dark orange or brown or black Sharpy marker pen to dull them down.

      Thank you for the nice comment! Yes, the rail joiners need some work, maybe a Sharpy as you suggested. Thanks for watching!

    I wonder if the Copenhagen Fields N guage London Model Railway Club layout members have any ideas for using this scale for any future projects. This Copenhagen Fields N guage layout is a master of reduced scale in the background to make a model railway look a lot bigger than it is. Look it up if you haven't seen it.

    Thank you for these videos, this layout is absolutely fantastic, you should be very proud of what you have created. I have just purchased a T gauge starter set and some track and can't wait to get started, not done any railway modelling for about 40 years since I was a young boy :) Your layout has given me a lot of inspiration and ideas, thank you so much for sharing. Would you be able to do a video on how your points / turnouts work? I am completely new to this and this gauge in particular which I understand has some limitations, so some information on how the points / turnouts are setup and powered would be very much appreciated. Well done again for this outstanding layout, it is a work of art. Best regards from the UK

      I truly appreciate your nice comment and am happy you enjoyed the videos! I plan to do a video highlighting some different aspects of T Gauge and I can include points/ switches. I can say that so far that the points/switches have worked reliably. Each electric switch comes with a wire/plug that is then connected to a switch machine (each switch requires it’s own switch machine). I placed one manual switch on the Pennsylvania layout for a siding that I felt did not warrant the cost of an electric switch. I hope you enjoy T Gauge and good luck on your new layout!

      Thanks for the reply, I look forward to your next video ! Sorry for the stupid question, but on your circuit running 2 trains, is that powered by one controller connected to just one section of track on that loop? I assumed the points would isolate the track that they are not directly pointed to, but you have 2 trains powered by 1 controller ? Hope that makes sense :) @@daveb.trains7019

    • @daveb.trains7019
      @daveb.trains7019  6 місяців тому +1

      @@samtrex600. Not a stupid question - the inner track of the double track main is just an oval with it’s own power pack. The outer track of the double track main has switches to go to the track that goes along the river. One power pack controls these loops and both trains, but not independently.

    • @samtrex600
      @samtrex600 6 місяців тому +1

      Thanks again Dave. It is the outer track with the switches running 2 trains simultaneously that I am confused about - how is power fed to the track that goes along the river (running the blue HST in this video) and the outer track of the double track main (with the freight train) at the same time? Again apologies for silly questions but this is very interesting and I am very inspired by what you have achieved, thanks for the help !

    • @daveb.trains7019
      @daveb.trains7019  6 місяців тому

      No problem, the feeder wire from the power pack connects to the outer loop of the double track mainline which carries the power to the other loop through the switches. There are no electrical blocks so for example if I throw a switch and the black hst train is put on the same track as the freight train one may run into the other because I can't control them independently. The freight train is going noticeably slower only because of it's length where as the HST is shorter and faster with the same amount of power. Also, the short black HST has 2 powered units and 2 coaches. The freight has 2 powered units up front and 1 powered unit in the middle disguised as a freight car along the amount of freight cars being pulled. Also you may find it interesting that the long red HST has a powered unit in the middle disguised as coach. I went off on a little tangent from your original question, but I hope it helps. Please feel free to ask any questions.

    • @daveb.trains7019
      @daveb.trains7019  6 місяців тому +1

      Thank you! The cars arrive as a clear plastic shell so I paint the entire interior with Testors enamel model paint (brushed on). A silver or aluminum color is then painted on the exterior of the windows. I initially tried to just paint the interior while leaving the windows clear, but this proved to be too tedious and time consuming.

    Hei its me again...from Germany...just a quick question about the power supley...
    Are you runing the layout with several pwm Controllers? Like an oldscholl analog layout...becouse that was my plan to do it.
    If yes...can you show how you switch between the tracks and what kind of track conwctorsyou are using.
    And if you have time..can you make a video about switching operations.....

    • @daveb.trains7019
      @daveb.trains7019  6 місяців тому

      Hi Sasha, Yes I have a PWM controller for each track (no power routing switches or block control). The red passenger train is on a loop of track controlled by a PWM. The freight train and the black passenger train are on the other 2 loops of track controlled by the second PWM - these 2 tracks are connected by switches so trains can switch between loops in either direction, but are not controlled independently and the switches are not power routing. I can point out the details in a future video. Good to hear from you. I was able to visit Germany - Bavaria once and I want to go there again - travelled by train to Munich, Fussen, Berchtesgaden, Stuttgart, and Freiburg. A beautiful country!
