Honestly, I would watch you pluck chickens, but am oh so glad you are instead sharing amazing art making with us! I am sure the chickens feel the same. 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
karma, you’re awesome! Thank you 😊
PS my brother raises chickens. :) but just for the eggs!!
@@ElizabethStHilaire We used to do the same. For the fresh eggs. No plucking required! 👀🤍👀
@@karmaleenash2841 they are fun to watch
Gorgeous Bronze splatters Elizabeth! And I LOVE that you gave us a closeup of your papers! It’s always so nice to see things up close to get a really nice view of your work. Again, you are amazing! Always so inspiring!
I appreciate the feedback on the closeup! I'll remember that. Thank you Luci, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I love watching no silly chat just down to it
concise is good! thanks Joyce.
Absolutely gorgeous!! I love the combination of blues together. And the bronze adds a beautiful touch! I love metallic paints. Thank you so much for this lovely inspiration 💗 Blessings
My pleasure Lindsey!
Oh, these are gorgeous! You have really given me an appreciation for blues. Not that I disliked blue 😅 but it wasn’t a favorite and I wouldn’t have been so inspired to try different blues if not for watching your videos. Thank you!
My pleasure!! I’m with you, blue, sometimes feels very basic, but there are shades of it that are quite spectacular! Inspiration is a beautiful gift, happy new year
So incredibly talented on so many levels. The outcome(s) - incredible and the tutorial - top notch. Thank you Elizabeth. You inspire me!
inspiration is indeed a special gift Phil, I am so glad! my pleasure.
Those were beautiful. It’s very helpful that you explain how to use the different paint types/ opacities. I never hear this in most Gel plate vids. It makes such a difference in the layering outcomes.
I teach workshops and have Patreon if you want to help support this content! Thanks so much
@@ElizabethStHilaire do you have in person workshops other than Arizona, Mexico and Italy? I’m on the East Coast. I’ll check out your info. Thanks.

I still haven’t had time to use my new stencils, you gave me a great idea I made a calligraphy that I can’t print yet so I’m a use the same printmaking things straight onto my plate and at this point I should be using my stencils and new sponges
There’s time! I’m happy to inspire and I hope you will get to trying the new tools soon :)
I absolutely love your style!! Your art & your personal style, you’re adorable! Ive bought your stencils from joggles when you first released them & theyre some of my most used/favorite stencils & holy sh!t do i own a TON of stencils, so being most used is a bigger compliment than if i were a normal person who practiced self control when purchasing stencils 🤣

Thank you so much Elizabeth for sharing your process. I can't wait to get started 😊.

Always such a pleasure and inspiration to watch you work ❤️ -- my papers never come out quite as beautiful as yours (& haven't tried the rice paper yet) but it's always a revelation to watch what you come up with -- thanks as always for letting us sit in :)

Yay! Another video! I have lots of time on my hands as I've contracted the dreaded and dreadful Covid-19. I need to watch lots of great art videos to take my mind off being stuck in quarantine.
I hope you get well soon and don’t suffer much. Happy to be in your queue!
I got an email saying you asked about the easel but I can't see the comment here now... all three of my easels are Jack Richeson BEST brand but they are a wide range of prices from $500 for the big one to $165 for the small one and the mid one being around $300.
So awesome! Thank you🌷

Hi! I love watching your vids. Question: you mentioned the surface you work on. You said a non-stick craft pad? I don't see it on your studio must haves list. Can you share which one you use?
Hey Fran, somehow I missed this comment and I’m so sorry. The links to my products are always in the description box below the video. But here is the link for the nonstick craft mat desk surface: shrsl.com/23tux
I just like saying "fiddly ferns"! It's fun to say.
Fiddly Ferns, Five Times FAST!
I'm enjoying watching your videos....for hours! I'm ordering some of your stencils and gel plates to start making some cards. How do you clean up your stencils, gel plates and rollers?
Thanks for the support! I don’t clean them. Just press off as much paint as you can while things are wet onto clean paper.
So, about the Golden Teal ... It dries SO fast! I bought some High Flow, thinking (hoping) it might dry more slowly. Nope. Is buying some stuff (for $8) to extend the open time, my best bet? If so, I’ll just stop buying Teal. That’ll show ‘em! 😘 Just got the rice paper & It’s great, especially since I do lots of two-layer prints. Thanks for recommendation 😘
I don’t believe that anyone color dries faster than another. It probably depends on your climate and how thick you apply it. They all have the same binder. You can use Golden‘s OPEN line of paints, if you want a slow dry acrylic. But I find that problematic for quick layering, I want them to be dry as soon as the print is pulled. I guess it’s just a matter of experimenting everyone finds a different groove. :-)
9:55 reminds me of spongebob
Thanks
Thank you SO much for this wonderful video! I am struggling with paint not sticking to my gel pad. It comes up on my brayer. Any remedy for this? ( I have cleaned my gel pad off many times by washing with water)
Use more paint and move faster! :)
Hello Elizabeth, thank you for the beautiful video. I am interested in using a print like this and matting and framing it, rather that using it for collage. Do you have any prints that you have framed that you could share with us? Thank you, I really enjoy your videos. You are a wonderful mixed media artist and teacher!
I do not! I tear them ALLLLLLL up!
Do you have a second best rice paper that you would recommend because on the Canadian Amazon site they are charging 75.00 dollars for the pack which is ridiculous amount of money. Is there another brand that might have similar properties to the one you showed in the video. Is there a number I should be looking for that would tell me the strength of the paper. Thanks for sharing, can’t hardly wait for your new stencils with Joggles
There is no number, it’s been a hit and miss search for me to find this pad of rice paper. Maybe you can go to Local art supply stores in person. Because you really need to check the thickness and make sure that it’s sturdy. There’s a lot of rice papers out there online that look good in the description but then you order them and they’re way too thin. This same paper also does come on a roll, that is on my Amazon website, I believe it is 8” x 30’. It is the same paper
unfortunately where I live the closest art store is approximately 6 to 7 hours drive. I guess I’ll have to try my luck on the internet, love the prints, thanks for the information, take care and stay safe
I’ve ordered and the price is reasonable.
I found the pad of rice paper. It’s $12.95 at Dick Blicks in Connecticut. I’d be happy to order it for you and have it sent to you in Canada. Let me know if I can help.
@@karivillebrun2096 oh gosh I am so sorry what a drag. it's hard I know because all these companies are in the US and they don't want to ship international because even to canda from here is EXPENSIVE
