First off, a big thank you to Chester for the carry-on bag.
First Impressions
- Looks great, feels great, and very lightweight.
- Wheels are very fluid, and the blue color is a nice touch. Wouldn't be my first choice, but it wasn't like a lot of other bags online, so I wanted to see the blue in person.
- Luggage straps are huge. but look strong!
Like I said in the video, this carry-on bag is pretty good. It's spacious, appears durable, and glides effortlessly. The only concerns I have are with some of the lining and the zipper. Only time will tell with those, so I'll be sure to update this section if anything changes.

Advertised Measurements: 21.5" x13.5" x 8.5"
My Measurements: 21.25" x 13.5" x 8.75"
Weight: 6.9lbs based on my luggage scale

This is evidently a previous version of the Chester, not the Minima, which I believe is what is currently offered. The latter lacks the internal straps. Otherwise, pretty similar.

You would be correct. This is an earlier model of Minima.

I went to ross marshalls Walmart local mall, to look at/feel these lightweight style suitcases rhen resorted to chester .. hands down chester feels better quality.i for this, glass to have it. Rhe others at local stores in town were "fake outs".. imo

Price being similar, this or away?

The Chester Minima and the Away are said to be quite similar except that the Away costs at least around 15% more. Said to be made in the same factory in China. People reviewing the Chester at Amazon say it's the better option by virtue of being cheaper in that they are practically the same in terms of construction and features.
