Your picture book inspo routine seems like a good one. It also sounds like you enjoy the best of both worlds, watching the Griswalds engage in wildly excessive exterior Christmas lighting, while doing a much scaled-down indoor version of that yourself.

Nice vlog Jess, and Happy Seasonal greetings to you. I love sensitive line illustrations (Shepherd's winnie the Pooh) myself, not flat pasted on characters, and wish there were more in your generation. I think its so good to get outside and draw, which is what he did. Your whimsicalness is lovely. Many thanks for this.
