A Tracker or any older vehicle, is a mechanics special. I know; I am a mechanic that owns and drives a 1946 Willys, and a truck from 1986. They require more maintenance that the newer vehicles. I enjoy working on them. But I have no delusions about ever saving money by driving old rolling junk, or selling them for a profit. It's a hobby and hobbies cost money.
I had an idea. It is probably a dumb one, but stay with me. Before you hand money over for a used vehicle, have a mechanic look at it "Before" paying for it. I know, sounds stupid or else Eric would have done it before purchasing the RV or the tracker. My guess it will disappear and we will never hear about it again.

My tent never requires $10,000 repairs before I can use it again. Nomads are still trapped in the cycle of living to buy stuff. And it's no different than paying rent or property taxes to your life-long owner.
