Midnight Odyssey is the king of chord progressions.
Symphony in Stardust is just another level
This album is a goddamn masterpiece. From 50:00 till the end rocked me to the very core.
Digging this more than the black metal stuff, hope it gets a vinyl release it needs it.
Dis Pater, a cosmic genious
I feel like Midnight Odyssey is on a whole other level of music. Every time I listen I'm blown away.
The second track is haunting. I imagine myself when I'm old, sitting somewhere in a different landscape, in my hometown of which i will not recognize anymore, reminiscing of better vibrant days when everyone you loved was alive and yet the world moves on. You're alone, but yet you feel a silent melancholic peace.
When you are old. How old is old? I am 78 and have just found this - and I can identify totally with what you say!!! Is this the background music in God's waiting room? lol.
@@rupertthecat875 your music taste is cool af lmao
@@rezxxk3164i hope Rupert the Cat is still kicking around.
you ARE old
this is not a new type of music@@rezxxk3164
ruins of a celestial fire? more like my heart!
Symphony in Stardust began and I had to check if I had accidentally turned on my playstation. Stellar album.
Only an hour long? Practically a single in Midnight Odyssey standards.
no, his standards are 10 - 15 min max.
@@peyoartigala8099 The person means the total length of the album and not of a song...
winter dungeon synth!

19:49 My favorite part out of the album. Beautiful.
this one is a real winner. Top ten on this channel. Great all the way around.
what are the top 10 in your opinion? Or even top 5
I cried listening to this album, what a gem.
I really enjoy this band. The BM album realeases are great but this is top notch!
Nice refreshing turn from atm black to ambient, way to go,Australia among the best
I love this band, and this release isn't on Apple music, so I'm glad it's been uploaded here.
My God! Pure music for the brain! This band is awesome!
Midnight Odyssey is a really good BM artist, it's a surprise that he released such an album. A good one
For a long time, mostly the 90s, it was fairly normal for black metal artists to release ambient, dungeon synth, or classical styled albums. They just usually did it under a different project name.
@@viriathas9910 Exactly, that's something I quite like about 90s Black Metal musicians.
Yeah it's solid
@@viriathas9910 examples?
@@reichelsperspective6210 That's a big question, but a few off the top of my head (featuring 2nd wave BM guys)...
Wongraven
Mortiis
Neptune Towers
Certain Burzum Albums
Certain Ulver Albums
(arguably) Summoning
Lurker of Chalice
There are certainly many more that I'm forgetting, but those are all good starting points.
More space ambient please!

Very good ! It was unexpected to see Midnight Odyssey releasing a dungeon synth album, but this is some high quality music
of the two ambient albums, he has released... this is the best one
pure perfection
Maravilhoso...
I am amazed! It will nicen up friday!
Excellent!
Nice album. One of the best.
Immediate Star Control 2 vibes
This was astoundingly beautiful.
41:47 getting some real good Mortiis: Reisene Til Grotter Og Odemarker vibes there. I love this.
Dude. There are no words for this. Phenomenal!
Brilliant. Off to bandcamp
great album, thanks for the upload
amazing....a great and sublime album!!
That’s some powerful ambience at 8:54
Kinda reminds me of 70's era Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze.
I love Schulze's 'Angst'
@@Slechy_Lesh Never heard that one, I'm most fond of his 70's output like "Cyborg" and " Timewind". I'll check out "Angst", thanks for the tip!
@@profile1674 Hope you enjoy
10/10 this is awesome
Amazing album
This is super meditative and tranquil
Such great chill/ meditation music!
Anyone else listen to Midnight Odyssey for meditation?
This is excellent
Brilliant. Ruins of a Crystal Sky in particular is incredible
This is a good surprise
I'd love to hear this guy's BM stuff, because this dungeon ambient release is just amazing !
Ok, found it! Its every bit as phenomenal as this!
Shards of silver fade is the best thing i have ever listened to and i come back to it very often.
He also participated to Summoning's tribute album with the most stunning take on Where Hope And Daylight Die
Just here to say that if you listen to the Biolume, Pt. 2: The Golden Orb your heads will blow up.
Be aware.
@@rothbardfreedom it was awesome! But only my eyeballs exploded:(
Крутые ребятки из Австралии
Imagine, i was listened to silhouettes of stars for 2 years non stop =) and nothing else =)

Really lovely cover art!
I would never thought that the Ruins of the Celestial Fire, could be compared to what happens in California??? Or on the west coast, in USA??? Or anywhere here in the world??? But I think it could be possible??? But I don't know??? There is some places in space, that the fire is so hot, that it is invisible. But you should all know by now, "Don't play with fire."
du pur génie...
j'aurais pas dis mieux
Una de las mejores bandas en este género I LOVE you song
Unbelievable
BEAUTIFUL MUSIC AND BEAUTIFUL ARTWORK!!
Sometimes I can't help but feel like you know, whether knowingly or perhaps unknowingly/intuitively that we are living in the little season.
Good for yoga 🧘
Wow, cover is just amazing. Music is stunning.
insane
Ruins of a crystal sky is beautiful
Tangerine dream on Morphine and Heroin
That cover art is way too good. Looking forward in a few years, AI will let me "No Mans Sky but as Ruins of a Celestial Fire"
I'm getting some Dying Earth vibes
God yes
Космическая музыка
Now this is music id happily eat magic mushrooms to.
Huhhh, that's will be dangerously far off!
WAIT A MINUTE..... THIS IS THE SAME MIDNIGHT ODYSSEY?!?!?!!?
thank you for this
This album sounds the way a meteor shower looks.
This isn't dungeon synth, it's something even beyond
Cosmic dungeon?
I can hear a burzum reference at the end
must be the dungeons spaceman spiff gets trapped in....
👋👋👋👋
Something reminds me a bit Neptune Towers.
Not too much people knows Neptune Towers!
Good ear!
@@peterlaszloszasz8047 Black Metal and Dungeon Synth are linked since the beginning. So Dark Throne, Fenris, Neptune Towers
praying in a church in the year 2100
Wow is this the same Midnight Odyssey with the black metal band?
Paulstretch is that you!?
UA-cam put this on after Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd) -- which actually really made sense.
Enjoyed this.
Their best work
i need to stay alone for most of my working time, escape the reality, so this music is miracle. Or there is another good option, get drunk, lie on your bed, close eyes and start your journey.
ahhhhh..... take me away to the scape that this music conjures.
New Age genre?
I wonder if it means new age spiritualism or new age as in some post genre
fuck this is great
Spelljammer??

I just recently discovered Dungeon/Synth music (2-3 weeks ago) and have listened to 7 albums so far. I've really liked them all, but for some reason I just didn't like this one 😐. I just think its kind of repetetive, and most of the tracks sound similar. It feels like a journey through space, but nothing THAT interesting ever happens. Album art is COOL though. Just my opinion folks. Dungeon/Synth RULES!👍.
Go check out Bellkeeper's The First Flame of Lordran, and also Erang's entire discography, but in particular his albums Kingdom of Erang, King of Nothing Slave to No One, Within the Land of My Imagination I Am The Only God, Casting The Ancient Spell, Endless Realms And Nostalgic Gods, and Anti-Future
@@Xxlibra1018xX I will listen to Erang, and hopefully I'll share my opinion with you PotatoPrime. Thanks.
